In addition to every other utterly BRILLIANT moment in this video, it absolutely blows my mind that the entire thing hinges on Max somehow catching that bunch of balloons at the very end, in his underwear, while exhausted and under enormous pressure to do so. Seriously PEAK art moment in music video, this is an all-timer.
This whole band has meant the world to me since the fly record. It's all in your head and horroscope got me through some of the toughest times of my life. Here it is 2023 and I revisit their music weekly. Thanks for everything Max and Jon, cant wait to see you guys live again!
I think this is my favorite music video of all time. It's so simple, yet just awesome to think about how they filmed this. The only down side to this video is that it's so good, it sometimes distracts me from the song - which is the best part.
Max u r awesome... Love u Missed seeing u all live like LA and Toledo. That was the sadest performance due to Stu not being there. First time after he lost his battle to cancer seeing u all perform. U had a new guy with u that day. I think John wasn't with u. Or it was Tony. I had a hard time enjoying ur talent that performance due to the loss of Stu. It was a very emotional day for me and all the family that took the drive to see you all. Hopefully u will come back to Cleveland and I will get there to see u all. I tried to see u at Rocksino, but ur manager either didn't give my call to u, or he was BS. His name was Kevin? I was going to Columbus to see my son Trevor graduate from his first four year's of college and u all were in town in Cleveland playing at house of blues. So it didn't work out for me to see u that day in 2022. I look at your touring schedule and hope to see Cleveland back in the schedule.. I will be there hopefully.. I think it will be a special performance this time. And Stu will be watching over all of us.. he was always so proud of you guys. I bet he is smiling hearing how everyone still watches ur old videos and u all starting touring after Stu left this earth. Sincerely, Ginger
Eve 6 was revolutionary for my teenage years. First album I ever bought was their self-titled debut, been rocking out to them ever since. The lyrics to their songs have resonated with me through good and bad times, and their style of playing has maintained it's awesome sound. My only regret is never having seen them live - hopefuly they'll throw another reunion tour together sometime, so I can make amends!
Love u guys! Just like I saw u live years ago when Stu was alive. Miss seeing u all up and personal!! Love this video..I hope u tour again and come to Cleveland. It will never be the same without Stu celebrating ur gr8 talent. Love hearing ur music on the radio or stores I'm shopping at. Stay healthy and keep on using ur talents!! Sincerely, Ginger
Last show of their 2016 tour, at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, Max came down to the front of the stage and held the mic to where I could sing with him during the chorus of this song. Blew my fkn mind, one of the best nights of my life. Hell of an artist, and one heck of a human being!
where's my Music!? Gosh I miss y'all. your music helped so much.. When I was a teenager, after a shit day.. I'd lock myself in my room, crank my Eve6 and fade away.. I still do to this day.. You need to make more music! argh! I want to bring my daughter to her first concert.. who better?
Very Very cool! These guys are so awesome and nice in person. I met them at earthfest in boston in 2012 and got to meet them afterwards. One of the best shows I have ever seen!
Love this video. Max love ur vocals. Gr8 video. Always brings back gr8 memories of seeing u all live and seeing Stu so happy to see u all perform. Keep on performing, ur talent is enjoyable. I hooe u all tour again. I would love to see u all again. Sincerely, Ginger
This song hits me hard. So in love with the words. I'm sure there's many meanings. But when my older brother passed away. These words helped me through some rough nights. Thanks for making this..
They were awesome to see live. Got to see them on my birthday last year, did the VIP and got to meet them before the show too. They really are not only a great group, but a great group of people as well.
The video is hilarous - love that, it is backwards but he is still singing lyrics... interesting... Great song from an awesome album... looking forward to more videos!
If you like this video/song.. go see these guys live! They are f***ing outstanding! So much fun, so much heart and their live sound pulls you in deep..
The same way they did it with the Coldplay video for "The Scientist". They play the song in reverse as they shoot the video and then reverse the video so that the song plays correctly (i.e. forward). The hardest part in filming a video like this is for the singer to learn the song backwards. That's why his mouth isn't always in sync with the lyrics. Still a pretty damn cool video. I really love these guys and wish they could gain the notoriety they had in the early 2000's. They really deserve it. Long live Eve 6!
rlyttle85 That's a bit of a distortion, though maybe you were just unclear. Regardless, it was mostly correct. They may play the song audio in reverse on site to help the artist with timing, but they don't use the site audio in the video. They merely synch it with the single. That's how all music videos are made. It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't have any audio recording equipment on site.
first time ive come across this band and song.. i did at first find the shadows distracting but then i got over it.. the musics sweet and the video is very creative, taken all in one shot! well done eve 6 !
Well your name explain all.. Generally i don't follow Vevo right side video but this time was worth it, nice song and one of the most beautiful video of 2012, imho. Need more views!
