This is all good and EXTREMELY EPIC... They've got something quite wonderful here, but dear god, I hope they don't fuck this up like they did Sansha and Incursions... I mean, anyone else remember all that hype, all those intense incursion events with GMs and huge fleets popping out of wormholes and like... Chaotic shit? Well, the incursions we have now don't seem to be going anywhere story-wise... and really, we could almost largely ignore it. Theory, if this is done right, we build our OWN stargates into jove space soon, and there will be an npc empire with the same sov mechanics they're trying to impalement now, and we'll have to conqueror them... and then we'll start squabbling over the new expansion space.

Before the fanboy-wars get entrenched here, I'd like to say one thing: I have played EVE Online for almost 7 years and love it. I have pledged for Star Citizen, and I bought Elite Dangerous when it launched and have been loving that game too. Let's all just enjoy space games and stop fighting.

I love this buildup of tension, it gives a a lot of depth without actually doing anything. I believe that story should be told through showing and not telling. Looking forward to see where this takes us :-)

Im interested how far they are willing to take this. The EVE universe story has been stagnant for too long. But I have doubts much will happen in the grand scale because of the insecure masturbating bittervets.

It make sense now. He is my theory: The drifters look jove because the sleepers took the jove technology to rebuild. They needed Jovian tech to rebuild there bodies. My guess is, Caroline star is not just a super nova. It's a bridge. Whether it is creating wormholes or acts as some sort of cynosural field that allow sleeper ships to jump into jove space it has to be the way the sleepers have gotten in. And the Jovian star gates went off line because A. the sleepers have what they need and cut off the network or B. the Jove are still fighting and cut off there network to slow the sleepers down.

2023 reporting in Been digging around lore and stuff. I think the Deathless cult and the new Jove stargate stuff ties into this somehow. CCP have a habit of hinting at stuff 5 or 10 years before it comes to fruition.

This isnt the way the game looks... After leaving Eve and going to E:D I see this more like the flying mechanics of elite and not eve... I mean click click click will never look like this... Ever.

Seriously, too bad eve is NOTHING like this. It's park and orbit, pew pew. there is no dynamic flight and position makes no difference at all only distance.

You pilots in this universe have become gods. Immortal and above normal morals able to drive massive ships across the Galaxy and force your will by peace or war. You control the heavens. Did you think Death wouldn't find out? What if the Drifters represent Death and with the rise of EVE's Pilots have finally decided to act. On a more realistic note. What if all the theories are wrong. What if Earth or Terra or the Milky Way Galaxy is still somehow involved in EVE. That star could be a new gate from one galaxy to another. What if the Drifters are actually the equivalent of Guard dogs. Meant to defend the gate or what's about to come through.

Sorry CCP, I really think you haven't even got some of the basics in the game right yet. CCP Soundwave had a clue and a really good idea of where the game should improve, but after he left, every talk and update was just a complete marketing exercise. You guys do great marketing, but don't improve the game design where it needs it most. Adding in new games and features won't fix what's still broken in the old code. Fix stations and POS. Get rid of moon mining - at least in its' current form - chuck that shit into asteroids like soundwave wanted. Then we might talk.

Is this trailer just false advertising? Will the NPCs and exploration really become interesting? It was fun for a while when wormhole space first opened up, but the game settled back into it's pvp ganking mechanic that most remaining subscribers seem to like. Maybe I'll revive my old characters... I'm going to wait for the reviews.

I was in my first days of EVE, I decided to hop in a wormhole cause why not #yolo . mistake. i saw some of those things, tried to approach and scan and BAM! 20km away, they blew me up. rip me. and now they are out in recorded solar systems? shiiieeet

Hmmmm. I wonder if they stole her Royal Highness, Empress Jamyl Sarum I body to reimage her. If she comes back as a sleeper agent claiming the Amarr thorne. It would disrupt the Amarr Empire.

I betting, the sleepers beat the jove and in a last ditch attempt the jove took all their star-gates offline to stop the sleepers, but because the sleepers have assimilated so much of their technology, including wormhole generartion, they only slowed them down. Theirs a storm brewing guys, I get the feeling the end days are not far out and WE, the players will decide if eve online lives or dies when that day comes, stock up and prepare for a blitzkrieg, because if the drifter battleships are only the scouts and they can make wormholes anywhere, which we have no way to prevent as of yet, then just imagine what bigger drifter shipping can do.

so... extremely lucrative incursions in the null surrounding Jove space? therefore making alliances have to fight over the most profitable territory, while ccp makes sov more and more hard to control? I smell the Absolute Madman.

Is there any new EVE Chronicle or other fiction using this change to the setting? I'd love to read something where a Capsuleer ends up facing his or her previous body. On another note, how does this affect the "immortal" mercenaries with their sleeper based "technological immortality?"

I played eve for a long time. I finally got burnt out, lost interest. I got to watch the ninnies kill Piracy and then I was done. Maybe I'll go back to it one day. Make a brand new character, maybe play the game a different way.

last time i heard one of my corp mates talking about how to fight the drifters, i was like not worth it. He said you need a cap fleet. BUT CCPLZ make a use for corpses like selling them or something cos ik someone who has 4k corpses in a container

show this like very funny 3d action game play but in real its facking boring game without any interactive 3d or social fun. just dig dig dig ore... warcraft is much cheaper and funny then this...
