Hey, I know I'm super late. But I just wanted to let you know this has helped me alot to learn more about gas mining. I'm planning on saving up a little isk before I try this just to be safe. Thanks for all the information and help

Great guide for a newbie player. I love the approach that "find out on the fly" and not like a teacher tutoring and have prepared all beforehand. I would add that you can press "v" for d-scan instead of clicking (also opens up the d-scan window). Also "B" to do the probe scan instead of clicking the button. Finally, all cosmic signatures are around a celestial in 4au range. so it might be useful to look where the signal is approximately and center the probe scan on the nearest Celestial (asteroid belts, planets etc) and don't forget it might be horizontal or vertical (double click to change view).

I recommend you bookmark the gas cloud and then approach your bookmark to be inside the cloud, this will prevent cloaky people from getting too close to you.

I would definitely not do it like this. If the WH connection collapses while you are mining you are stranded. Fit the scan probe launcher to the 3rd high spot and you'll have no problem scanning down wormholes and glass clouds, they are the easiest to scan down. At the very least click on the wormhole and click the info button to find out if the wormhole is end of life or or if it's mass limit is being approached but I do this with a core probe launcher on my venture. It allows you to go around nomadically too jumping from J system to J system. And of course groups deliberately collapse wormholes to gain hole control of the system as soon as they enter.

Pablo López-Ortega man need your help here...how to harvest that cloud at whormhole....did you go in or just warp some where near the wormhole

@@702ification say you found the gas site, you would warp to it, then you can either burn towards the cloud (they're all named similar to Fullerite-C72) with a microwarpdrive, or you can right click save location on the cloud, then warp away and back to that location which will land you in the center of the cloud. At that point it's just target and huff.

@@702ification I hope you found your answer, tr331 trec. Once you find a wormhole by scanning it down, you can enter it. Entering a wormhole puts you into a new solar system which may contain gas sites, which you can go to and start mining. So yes, you need to go inside of the wormhole. Being around the outside of the wormhole will do nothing.

Your isk per hour is going to be less than half of that since you spend more time scanning than mining.

24:57. It's not 3ml isk in 8minutes. It took you half an hour to find the gas cloud. To be fair, I think you should add that time. And besides that, you'll warp out after 20min. Good guide nonetheless. Thanks. (Except for the button smashing... )

Hi Snaeb! I believe the best ship for exploration is the magnate. It has 4 low slots, so that you can fit 4 warp core stabalizers. Also , I see a lot of professional ninja looters and salvagers using it in low sec to great effect. Plus it looks the best to me! :D

Depends on what matters to you. Being able to escape if scrammed? Magnate, for those lows. Added signature resolution and faster scanning? Heron.

Best ship for alpha mining is the Praxis any noobie can use it and six mining lvl 1 makes a huge difference. All our alphas use them with a boost your getting close to low end barge .

I don't think the Aquisition array is for alphas. As an alpha the Regular probe launcher worked well with sister probes. This guide shows you how to be brave. lol D scan is life, also use dot land. Some Gas sites are actually full combat sites, you will always need to leave in under 15mins. Becasue the sleepers come. Also the Gas skill is 24mil.

because the t1 exploration ships (magnate , heron, imicus,probe) have bonuses to scanning , so you can scan quicker and scan down harder to reach sites . Usually the slightly harder to reach sites have more isk. Also sites in wormholes can be pretty hard to scan down for an un-bonused ship (venture)

today i make ur ships same , found first worm hole then gas site found yeah this good for me playing new this game.but this problem emergency patrollers guarding fullerite gas and lose my ship i dont understand

You only have about 20 minutes to mine before the NPCs (emergent patrollers) show up to blow your ship up :P

All of the gas sites are safe at first . After 20-30 minutes npc's appear that try to blow you up . So you have to keep an eye on your surroundings at all times .

@@eveexpertguides995 Unless someone got there first and activated the timer. In that case you blow up the moment you land on grid. You are going to die doing this- sometimes- keep it cheap. In my experience though I find an empty site far more often than a guarded one so my gains offset my losses by quite a wide margin.

I was try to enter a wormhole for gas for the first time, and I just survived for few minutes, some guys just watching that gas cloud and jump in really fast:(

Try somewhere far far away from Jita. Jita is the most active system ,so people are more likely to be camping in wormholes around there. The sec status doesn't matter as much

20 jumps away, but try for somewhere close to a different trade hub like diodixie, rens or hek. That way you can get needed supplies and drop off the gas when you are full and go back for some more

Saw 3 structures in this video's wormhole, and one jump from a trade hub. I would NEVER even have tried that wormhole. Use womholes 4-5+ jumps from trade hubs MINIMUM.
