After watching Ashterothi and you, I got my third character into Minmatar FW, and I am successfully losing frigates. I think of your positive attitude a lot, and the idea of just jumping into it....one question...Safety, in low sec, on red or orange? I think I don't understand something about the "Safety".
You'll allways win in the isk race, though. You could do my, wait for it.... mitigation with an acil repper. Another tip is to use EC-600s. They will almost certainly jam your attacker a good portion of the time. I once killed a Megathron with a Thorax like this. It was back in the day before ancillary reppers, though.
I think you would have got that Cynabal if you had your keep at range set to 500 instead of 2000, you had full range controll but drifted to about 4k and halved your dps. Good fights though.
The effects stack. You do have some penalties the more you stack certain modules but you do have benefits for running multiple webs to be able to close range easier like you saw in the fight against the comet.
You definitely died to that hecate because you spammed approach when you were already at zero instead of keep at range. You are correct you would have got hin in one more volley, but you missed the volley you needed because you were approaching. Good vid, thorax is a fun ship.
@@sabresg You definitely have been learning compared to your older stuff. If you like this ship, I would give the VNI a try. You use it the same way you use a blaster comet. 40k EHP if you can unload the armor rep. (More than twice the thorax) and ability to project half it's DPS beyond blaster range with drones. 2 heavy, 2 medium, one light is a maximum DPS set for this ship.
