EVE Online | The Scope - BREAKING: Ancient Jovian Stargates Discovered 

Having your character immortalized in a scope video is pretty damn cool. Congrats to the pilots who found the gates!

Using the actual character models is pretty awesome.

So many Jovian structures have advanced cloaking devices. If their structures can do that, I wonder how much more Jovian tech is just lurking around us.

I suspect CCP thought it would take longer than 3 days to find all the gates.

I hope it leads somewhere different/experimental compaired to what were used to. But still based on the mechanics of Eve of course. Idea: Something like a combination of Abyssal Space and Trig Space. You go in and there are environmental factors you must navigate around like Abyssal. Maybe like a Nebula. You have to find other gates but there is no long range things to warp to. Just a 'large map'. So we as explorers have to actually explore and create our own bookmarkets and find the things inside. Each of these 'solar system' would be small given we have to travel around, but 'computer limits' could have these things being the size of any grid (1000's of KM) in size. There could be many of these as they can be built floating in space like any other WH. Only Dscan would work. Find one, get in, and explore. Make new 'nebulas' as the demand fits, and there could be a ton of exploration gameplay different then what we already have. Same PVE, PVP, rare mining, data/relic, etc. No stations. Completely up to us to get in and out safely. We can bring in our own Depots. They are subject to risks. Make it hard for larger groups to control as there are no stations. It will be extra piraty as it will mostly only be solo/small gangs. BS/Capital sized ships could enter, but they are just as vunerable due to their size. But it might be an interesting place for solos as it would take a formidable gang to counter. Wont be able to just cyno 100 dudes in. But I can dream...

First new space since 2009? Interesting. I'm betting it's going to be one big system like Thera, with some new mechanics.

I know that it's a silly desire, but I'd love to have much more jovian stories, missions, tasks, places, objects, and NPCs to know. I want to know jovians and their whole empire much better. Maybe it's just the dazzle of the mysterious unknown 😴💭🛸👽🌌💙💙

The first gate was discovered before I was even aware of the gates. Unfortunately, they were all found before I had a chance to try and be one of the first to discover them.

I hope this will be like the Grey Tempest in Stellaris wherein a massive invasion force will travel through all of these gates once they are opened.

So what do we think? Access to the rest of Jove space, or an as yet unknown cluster of stars? Or simply a bridge between one side of new Eden and the other, making them points on contention.

A locked gate is usually the sign that something wants to keep you out, or a sign that someone is keeping something even worse locked in. Might be a bad idea to unlock and open the gates. Open the gates and swarms of ships flood out and start to invade lol.

If this is not just another way for alliances/corps to take another area and get bigger and fatter, I may well come back to the game. Like many other comments here I'm very much hoping there is plenty for the single player in this new area including new PvE content. And please for the love of God don't make it like Pochven!

Gates to the already existing Jove space I imagine (been wondering years ago if they were ever going to connect them), and some new Jove ships down the line I hope.

What did happen to humanity outside new eden ? Like where they came from the Eve gate ? That's weird i never see it mentioned. I mean we shouldn't know. But it's weird no one's found out how to go back.

Gates are physically aligned to their destinations in game right? So where are these gates pointing?

Now I am wondering though; if the Jove are the ingame explanation of CCP and Jove space is their ingame testserver for new features, would that not mean that if we can enter Jove space, we have an ingame test server? Now that Sisi has been down for a while... I think it would be great if you could enter a "Test Server" in jove space. Jovian stations where you could buy anything, but the moment you fly through one of the gates to get back into normal space, you would be in the ship & pod you entered again.

after how many years we finally see some Jovian technology ? makes me wonder if eventually will see other Jovian structures around the New eden....

There is an old legend. When everything in the game becomes completely bad (it falls online, there will be nothing to invent, etc.), then the developers will open the Jove space.

By Jove! Intruiging news.

My guess is that it is just another area for PvP. CCP abandon any meanifull PVE many many years ago, and trigs was only a way to split the galaxy to make PVE more difficult and was only done to create more PvP space. Hopes aren't high. Starfield will release soon so..... They better come with it and get some causual PVE stuff back in the game or they will lose loads of players and have to rely on a few thousand players with multiple accounts to populate New Eden. Only reason I haven't won already is the limited number of space sims on offer.
