That’s not what the deathstrike nerf meant. Death strike heals for a percentage of Dmg taken in the last 5 sec, the change is not that you only heal from the most recent source of Dmg, but that you can only heal from each instance of Dmg once (making using death strike within a 5 sec window of another death strike nerfed)
That would be fine if Deathstrike actually did something, but it doesn't, which is why we press it 2-3 times to actually survive. They can't make a change like this and then not totally remove the nerf in PvP (50% IIRC, nerfed in the pre-season of S1 DF), it's going to be bricked.
I think you misunderstanding the death strike Nerf. Each individual instance of damage will still count towards death strike healing, but only one time so in your example, the death strike will heal you based on that chaos bolt and the little tick of damage. Previously, you could death strike back to back in all damage taken within a certain amount of time would count for both of those.
Imo they should revert pvp changes in every single pre patch and start from scratch just like they are doing right now. Avoids the problem we had with Glacial Spike and Comet Storm for exemple, they got nerfed in Legion and were only unnerfed in last patch of Shadowlands. We had no idea why our Glacial was hitting like a wet noodle.
DK was already paper compared to other melees, now this nerf…..they are retards seriously. And other classes gain 80%dmg etc. lol amd warrior became a healer. Im already starting to hate this exp :)
Taking as much healing as possible and putting it into the healers is BEAUTIFUL. My only concern is for PvP, I absolutely despise how crushingly meta healer comps are.
@@grantx6 I mean no matter how hard you try you cannot play high end 2s with no healer. 2x dps 2s is just a dream of unexperienced players. Even Rogue/Mage works till a point.
Having a 1 minute Doom Winds on Enhancement is actually so rad. It's such a short uptime and so easy to stop, having it at 90 and not lining up with our other CDs was a bummer.
@@Chakafuyo21 actually been playing with that. Can't fully go into either, but you can easily get elementalist build with DW and proc ascendance, seems to do decently though I'm not sure it's the final play. Either way, Storm bringer hero talents seem to be better than totemic for PvP
@@CP_Tacti I went full storm build with hot hands and lashing flames. You do miss some stuff like ele blast but you never have downtime though. Yesterday I played full storm with just enough lava lash talents and hailstorm so it looks more like an older version of enh. This one felt really nice without proc bloat.

This is all good stuff, having the healers heal again, but they really need to look at mana for healers because right now they're already unkillable in BGs. It actually strikes me that if healers just fucking went oom before my kids go to college they could pretty much remove dampening from the game and pvp might start to heal.
Not sure how they would resolve that since its purely because theres no dampening in BGs, what id like to see maybe is for them to add dampening to bgs for healers on a player by player basis, based on how long they are combat for. So once they enter combat after X time dampening for them starts ramping then resets if they leave combat.
Are tanks really getting it that bad? It seems to me that with the big stamina increases they are going to have absolutely enormous health pools and the percentage drops on some of their abilities are being reduced to fall in line with this increase of health?
nah, its not that insane of nerfs. Tanks are just upset because they wont be able to pull 3 packs of mobs in M+ and be the only one to live and feel like they're "carrying" while also being the cause of the wipe from over pulling lol basically tanks wont be unkillable gods now and they're crying.
@@CB38096 what's fun is NOT losing threat. Pulling 3 packs and everyone living just let's dps see the fun numbers. I find it difficult to do but never hard. Though I tell the healer before it happens to see if they are ok (or drunk)
So, previously, my wife and I had to abandon do regular BGSs. Seemed like all we ever played against were these professional players teamed up with every possible ADDON bristling like a battleship. They became a tremendous turnoff as no one enjoys literally getting farmed like domestic catfish. We found some fun and successes doing the blitz's as a team providing one of us played a healer. All sound familiar? My question now is does this change take away that last bastion of fun for us? Sounds like the new blitz will force everyone to Q solo. BTW, if Blizzard ever came out with a game modality called WOW- Noaddon we'd be all over that.
When it says that resto druid will no longer be increased in pve only by 8 percent means that it will now also apply to pvp, the 8% buff. That's my best guess as to why its in the pvp section.
You may have to remember, with battleground blitz coming along. Some of these changes may be targeting QoL for BG's rather than arena as solo BGS being ranked is blizzards new baby fresh out the oven.
It's relative to the number your comparing it too. You are correct that 20% is, indeed, about 37% lower than 32% ((32-20)/32). But it's only 12% lower when compared to 100% of total health. For example if you were healing someone who had 100 max hp pre-nerf, you would have healed them for 32 hp. Post-nerf that number is now 20 hp. That's a difference of 12 hp. 12 hp/100 hp total hp is a 12% difference/nerf. This is an example of how you can use math to say whatever you want it to sometimes.

Can I make a suggestion? Instead of just reading the notes for us on a video form, Can you make a tier list “as it currently lies”, then revisit that tier list and move classes up the slider and down the slider based on notes that are released each update. That way we can look at something other than you reading to us.

you are misunderstanding the death strike nerf It basically means if you get hit by a big chaos bolt that "damage event" only counts towards one death strike, if you deaths triked twice in the 3 second window the second one wouldn't take into account the choas bolt damage. This change is fine if they unnerf death strike in PvP Tbh

Tanks won't "suffer" just won't be literal gods. This will allow the support to actually play the roll they signed up for instead of being damage bots.
Lol these tanks have been mighty spoiled I guess. The support will keep you alive instead of yourself as it should be in a mmo. I don't see the issue here.
Enh still need to change the basic effect of lava lash so that it can immediately increase flame shock damage on targets, even by a small%, but there will already be synergy and meaning from the ability. Need to give a PvP modifier to increase the effectiveness of crash lightning and sundering. Enh will have a great opportunity to express their identity through range-cleave attacks in storm build with crash lightning with 2 talents, instead of LL-molten assault-hailstorm.
20% Frenzied Regen healing? I was just on the beta and it's showing 12% for Feral....WTF. Why am I going to waste 5 globals trying to scrounge up 12% healing instead? I don't like the direction of needing even MORE reliance on healers - a role few people want to play and is already on short order. I miss double dps 2s in shadowlands. As if it wasn't already dead in the water in Dragonflight....now this just solidifies it. And a lot of HP-based healing didn't get touched for some reason for specs that don't have a tank off-spec?

Why are people acting like the Death Strike nerf is major? You STILL heal from recent damage (past 5 seconds) its just if you are spamming DS you cant benefit from ONE Chaos Bolt hit 2x just because youre spamming. Get a big hit, DS. Wait a few sec, big hit, DS, wait a few sec. This is how DS was always intended to be used and how DK's over 2200 actually use the ability. Its rare you'll see Mes use 2x DS back to back.
Your biggest survival tool isn't even DS, it's Chains of Ice/Death's Advance. Both Partywaffles and Mes (#1 Shuffle and AWC Champ) preach all day every day that as DK your survivability is based on positioning and kiting. Yes it would be nice to be able to face tank a WW monk burst, but that's not the intent around DK. As a ~2700 DK main I don't mind this change whatsoever, it makes sense to me.

I feel like rogues are being trolled. We've been waiting so long for updates to rogue its absolutely garbage. Assassination is what I want to play but I cant cause its so poorly designed with the hero talents. I wonder when they'll give us some updates, game isn't that far from launching and the amount of changes they'll have to do to the spec is pretty huge if they want it to be actually good and fun to play. The stealth dependency for assassination is just bad, you could have a bit of it but there's too much. You have no option but to play around stealth, the hero talents with sub is so trash too. Ambush and revolves around stealth... Like seriously whoever worked on rogue just hates the assassination spec.
