I think it would be kinda dull to bring an entire universe in the DLC. I mean yes, we want our interactions, but also that means Hades only gets quests within the DLC, and not all around the world. Also, there's risks with putting an entire universe in the DLC, since if you don't like Hercules, you don't buy the game (which is a downer on Gameloft profits) However, I also think that as this is a feud, we would NOT see Aurora under Maleficent's arc, but in fact we'd find HERCULES in Mal's arc, trapped and unable to be with Megara, while Aurora would be under Hades' quests. They are intruding on each other's territory. And of course there's still no guarrantee that we'll get them in the DLC. These are just quest names and they could still change as there's a few months to go yet.

I do agree that using characters from a single universe could be limiting, although a lot of the grumbles I’ve encountered regarding A Rift in Time is the lack of common thread between IPs. I think that linking up two characters from the same IP could work, so your theory of Aurora and Megara actually being on opposite sides of the map is super interesting! I would say that Hades/Maleficent/Hercules are some of the most requested characters in the game, so if there’s ever a DLC to lock to two franchises, it would be this one. I don’t think GL would suffer too much monetary-wise going that route. But as you say, nothing is guaranteed until the DLC is announced! Although I suspect it will be less than 12 weeks until it arrives now, so it should be in the final stages of play-testing (or we hope, let’s get some decent quality assurance for this one 😆) There may be more files in the October update to keep an eye out for!
This just randomly was suggested to me but thank God because waiting for DLC info is slowly driving me insane. I'm really excited for maybe Aurora coming since she's one of my favorites (and I honestly thought she would be an after thought to the devs) but something just clicked and I will be so excited it ends up being like this. Before you end up going into the Palace to defeat Jafar, Merlin tells you before you go around to close some rifts, that the Spark of Imagination once belonged to someone before any of current cast of characters lived in the Valley/Isle besides Oswald, since Oswald was very special to them. He talks about stories being passed down and how Oswald is similar. And now we're getting a library biome, with two biomes being named simply or close to 'Fairytale' and 'Mythology'. It's possible that it's just meant to be a nod towards Walt Disney, since Oswald was Walt's first creation or his first "use" of imagination. Or..... the devs will use the character that is a nod to Disney... Yen Sid. Maybe we end up in a library, cause something of a Sorcerer's Apprentice situation and use the Dreamlight magic to make the worlds come to life. Hades and Maleficent would obviously think they have more of a right to be the ones in control and that starts the feud. I had a passing thought with that conversation that all the DLCs are meant to be linked in some way, even if it's in small passing remarks like the Merlin tells you about the Spark. I wonder if the pink could be a reference to The Marvelously Mad Madame Mim from Sword and the Stone, as she has a feud with Merlin? I could see her being in the DLC similarly to Oswald in RIT.
I just started playing DreamLight Valley this past Friday and I’m really enjoying it and this new DLC sounds like fun can’t wait for more news and the showcase!
Ohhh, can you imagine?! Especially if they all wandered around the valley together! 💜 To be honest, I'm not convinced on Price Phillip. He's probably my least likely character in terms of confidence arriving, so I'd be happy to swap him out for someone else!
I’d really love that to be the case! Although the game does seem to have a habit of bringing in single characters (Jafar without Aladdin, Vanellope without Ralph etc.) so I don’t think it’s a guarantee 😔
Atlantis would be great! I feel like a lot of people thought that would come to Eternity Isle, given the various similar parts of the map, but it never seemed to transpire. We'll have to see if they ever tap into that franchise - I certainly hope so! 💜

This is true! A couple of people have mentioned Descendants. Although we don't have any life action characters at the moment, I'm sure it isn't out of the question!

Absolutely! While I don't think she'll be coming with this DLC, I think we may get an entire Alice DLC at some point 👀 If not, I think we'll definitely get her through a realm in the base game!

So from the roadmap they shared with us (that's on the DLV website!) it looks like we'll be getting the "showcase stream" where they show us new content around the end of October/Early November. If they're following the same pattern, we should get the DLC by the first week of December! Last year released on December 5th, but we may even get it earlier due to Black Friday sales. Did anyone have problems after the last update? I haven’t been able to harvest herbs or several other items in the rift in time realm. I can’t harvest on any platform!😢
Oh, that's no fun! Not being able to harvest sounds like a common time travel bug. Did you change your system clock or try to access while you were in a different timezone? If you did time travel, you'll have to wait until the date/time that you travelled to in order to harvest herbs again. Sorry! 💜

How much is everyone betting people complain about a paid dlc 😂 like guys they give so much free with the weekly moonstones I have never had to pay for a pack of moonstones just gotta do the dreamsnaps and buy what i want also i always save 2,500 for the drean path. If you can't afford to buy expansions dont play 🤣🤣 I see so much negative things for this game online but it's the only game I play that actually has regular updates and fantastic gameplay. And Hades finally!! Best character ever! ❤
I feel like there are always players who are going to be unhappy about paid expansions, it's just the nature of gaming sometimes! Although Gameloft did cause some confusion by initially marketing the game as entirely free-to-play, so I definitely understand some of the frustrations. But you're right, having the chance to earn free Moonstones is a really nice touch and something that keeps players returning each week, It's also my favourite game and I really do love what Gameloft have created for us - it definitely has it's issues, but on the whole it's a lot of fun. I do think they're going to find a way to wrap up that storyline (whether the Forgotten merges with us, or something similar) but I do have to agree. It's not my favourite part of the game!
