Hey I had a question I want to do my first purchase of genesis but I saw that if you do it in game you gain a double bonus does it work if you buy it through lootbar too?
People are asking here why Hoyo is getting generous lately. Cai Haoyu the chairman of Hoyo and producer of Genshin has resigned from his position last SEPT. 2023 to focus more on research about cutting-edge tech. Da Wei has been assigned as a replacement for him that has been decided by the board. On livestage from Hoyofest, Da Wei said he had a tour in a span of a year to be able to reflect and what future awaits the game soo here it is. Gradual to massive changes incoming.
The reason why there's so much better rewards is the switch of directors. Da wei is now the director. (I'm not 100% sure if it's Da wei, but it's still a new director. I said Da wei since I've seen that it was apparently him a lot, if i'm wrong, please correct me!) Edit: Apparently, over some comments I've read down (Arthur Morgan thank you!!), it is indeed Da wei. So, we can now expect some higher rewards coming up! Also please stop saying it's because of competition, it's clearly not about wuthering waves or any other games. Wuthering waves and other games has been already released for awhile, and there wasn't any changements. Only now that there's a new director, the rewards are increased. Congrats on 90k+ subscribers!

They can’t decrease anymore fate points on weapon banner with only one fate points needed now, although 50/50 shouldn’t really be a thing in gachas but it is fine if we have to have it.
It seems that they realized something that I call "Just give them the carrot", which I also recently had great success in my dnd campaigns. What it basically comes down to is: It really does not matter overall how many free things you give out to your players, except that it makes them happy. If they give out double the rewards, whales are still going to whale, dolphins are still going to dolphin, and free players will continue not spending money. But all of them will feel happier and more motivated to play the game, which will raise overall participation and maybe even bring some more whales back.
well, tbfh its obvious no one will switch from a f2p to a whale all of a sudden just because u gave em, like what?? 30 free pulls?? its just an overused tactic especially in the gatcha space, because people playing these games are just so accustomed to having shit rewards that even a measly ten pull is enough to make them loose their minds.
Free 5 star standard character each year, buffed rate up on 50/50 (if it really does help) and a nerfed weapon banner fate points compared to a measly free 10 pull. I don’t get it.

@@Yugito Something players missed about the 50/50 rate up... According to what I read, it's not just an extra chance to get the limited character, but because it triggers when you lose the 50/50, you still have the next guarantee even if it saves you.

The only thing new to this is the 5 star. We get 10 pulls + 1600 primos for every anniversary and 800 to 1600 from lots of awards we got up to this day. This is the effect caused by new region and anniversary happening in the same update. We are getting more content coverage about genshin than the usual. But the rewards were basically always like that.
honestly unlike other genshin news ive seen so far, ur the only one who ever not just annouace the new easily but u also put a code in the thumbnail i am very grateful for it due to many other genshin code video always starts off with an intro probaly is the 90% of the video 😅
They were threatened by games getting better like zzz most likely. I doubt they can put up the “just quit if you hate it’ face anymore that they had to do something with the gacha mechanics and rewards ppl became frustrated about. What really got me angry at the time is all employees in the company rewarded with ps5 from funds made by players paying for gacha that they got f-Ed over by 50/50 losses and hard pity, while players rewarded with scraps in the anniversaries for their loyalty to the game. Why am I still playing you ask? Because I can’t deny the game is really good in visual aesthetics, gameplay and emphasise the world building to the game. There was a point where I did made a decision of dropping genshin all together during Fontaine when I found tower of fantasy and played it only to find that one is buggy as hell and so many things they are lazy with this going back to genshin. If it wasn’t for that reward buff I would;ve quit genshin and play zzz cause that game looked badass.
I have never been so hyped for a genshin update, to the point it’s interrupting my already horrible sleep schedule cause of my hyper active brain and I’m so excited 😭
You have to click cheer on the web event to get the free weapons, then the little chest icons will turn into check marks that signify that you’ve collected them
Zzz & hsr are from hoyoverse.. It doesn't do anything to them if their other games were doing better, they still get money out of it. And they're nowhere close to making pressure on genshin, please read comments, it's because of the changement of directors not because of other games.

Ummm, actually we got 20 pulls from doing nothing besides losing in every single anniversary. Genshin always could and did. The only new think is the standard char, because even free 5 star were given before with Aloy.
This is the best time ever to come back to Genshin. I stopped playing a month or so after Inazuma dropped (around raiden banner), came back very very briefly for sumeru and fountaine. But I'm back for a much longer time now! I have SO much to explore, and even more with Natlan. And the fact that we get so many awesome rewards make me want to stay even longer!

Not really, the only thing new is the 5 star selector. And that o ly if we ignore Aloy. We got the same 20 extra pulls like always for anniversary, and we got 800 to 1600 primos for awards a lot of times before.
When the news came that Genshin won best mobile game award, I predicted that 1000 primos should be enough to make players crazy, and now they did it!!! And since it'll be around 120+ pulls then I should rest assured cozz Kazuha will be home,😌and we're getting update in wishing system, my chances of getting Kinich increased

Came back to the game before 10 days, my primos were 12k or something and now they're 15k or something. That also goes back to the commission system so the new producer is doing a great job so far

I heard something about Hoyo having a contract with Sony. They needed money to start this anbitious project (Genshin) and Sony helped them (but they were in chains (contract things)). Now the contract is over they can do whatever they want. I dunno if its true, but some points makes sense.
No, don't believe every rumor you hear online. Genshin did more than 5 billions only on mobile by January 2024. They were the fastest game to beat 1 billion in less than 6 months. This whole Sony rumor is getting out of hand, people are adding new inventing stuff by the day
