Today we are repairing the rust on the inner fenders. It's been decided... the 1956 Plymouth will be for sale once we finish up all the rust repair. The price is $8,500 CAD. We paid $6,500 for the car and have approximately $2,000 worth of material into it. This means you get all the labour we spent on it for FREE. Email Jolene if you're interested at jolene@hiltzcommunicationsinc.com ✅

It seems that it would have so much greater value to hook Doug up with his own project car. He has a lot of great ideas of his own. Any project that he gets so much joy out of restoring/customizing/modding/etc. should be 100% his own creation and less of Chads vision (which is fine), but Doug can build his own. I'd think that he'd prefer it that way.

BC, it's fun to see Chad using the floor as an anvil, workbench, tabletop and layout space. Then he uses zip cutters as grinders, sanders, shapers and oh he even cuts metal with them! Thanks to Jolene for her great camera work!

I've been watching your channel for a couple of months now. I've really enjoyed watching you ,"do right" by this Plymouth Savoy. I worked on Aircraft as my career. I've known a lot of good sheet metal mechanics in my day. Your work discipline and dedication far exceeds anyone I know. Whoever gets this car will have a special vehicle that by all appearances has been rescued at least twice. I look forward to many more videos coming out of your shop. Thanks

You just can’t help yourself, you see rust on a project you attack it. Gotta love that. Thats a nice battery tray repair, some of that rubberized undercoat on it and it will last and last. Someone is going to be a very lucky buyer, free labor! OMGOSH doesn’t get any better than that.

Man this is so similar to my 62 C10 project, every panel you look at has some level of rust repair needed to get it solid again. But in the end it'll be worth it and another classic is kept out of the scrap yards! Car is looking good and certainly more and more solid every episode!

Well done Chad and Jolene. I really appreciate your attentiveness to when he’s welding. I had a friend teach me how to weld yrs ago and then for years I didn’t weld but I’ve gotten back into these last 2yrs. with your videoing as Chad welds I’ve been able to pick it back up quicker. I thank you for that. I wish you nothing but the best and mini mini more years of success.

Hello Chad, Jolene, & Doug, team Hiltz is hard at work! That is a nice car for somebody to either prep & paint or just clear coat. Alot of free labor has gone into the car which would cost someone a small fortune if they were paying for the labor. Chad & Doug are doing really good work on the car. Jolene has given us excellent videos of all the repair work that has gone into the car and they have been great instructional videos as well!

Love this build since I have a 56 Dodge which needs many of the same repairs and watching it done gives me renewed confidence in tackling them. We have lots of people building tri-fives and more common stuff like that and I am working on a 57 Chev also. But you can buy almost anything for those aftermarket. But if you also like the less popular brands for which there are no decent repair panels available, builds like this one, the 56 Merc, the 58 TBird are all great. I also happen to have a 59 TBird and a 56 Merc too, so of course I am biased..

You're doing a great job getting rid of the rust on that car. 😎👍 To identify (sign) your projects you could have metal plates printed with Hiltz Auto Co written on them. You can apply them e.g. on the dashboard or on the gearbox tunnel, but also in a more discreet way like inside the engine compartment...

I paid $1500 for a 1951 Ford 8N tractor back in the 1990's, and traded it straight across for that very car in this video in 2017. I traded this 1956 Savoy to the guy in Blockhouse Nova Scotia for a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda convertible that he was asking $12,000 for. He traded me that car without the 340 engine and radiator.
