Evening Mixed Species River Feeder Session | Ribble Free Stretch
Well what started out as a disaster of a river session turned out alright in the end. I am still leaving about this stretch of river! Some absolutely amazing fish to target in this section of river, but for the last few weeks conditions have been less than perfect with the river needing rain and being low and slow. However, I like a challenge and set out with my feeder rods for an afternoon session to give it a go.

Gotta be honest mate. I find this river fishing a bit boring. Could just be me but I think the best thing about this video was when your bucket broke.

Don't agree I find them more entertaining. Because when you do catch a bigger fish it will be and feel unbelievable. Anyone can catch all day at a fishery with a method feeder

Well that was different. Very enjoyable for a change, it’s the kind of problems most of us experience and on days like this one thing after the other seem to go wrong. I’m looking forward to your next visit. 👍

You have been the best on TV today. I came in from shed after sorting my fishing gear , to try and lighten the load. Came in at 3pm . And put tv on. Great viewing with a bit of a laugh thrown in. Loved it. Keep fishing and we, ll keep watching. 😁👍

Glad you're doing something different westy me and my mate fish that stretch quite a lot. Definitely fishes better with more water and colour in it. Feel your pain on that walk done it many times never gets any easier! Keep up the good work 👍

@@WestysAngling I had 2 barbel out of that stretch a week last Thursday as it went dark , went this Thurs with my mate neither of us had a bite from 5-11 pm. I'm waiting until it rains to try again

Thought you were going to buy the Korum chair barrow kit ? certainly helps if you are travelling a long way on a river stretch less chance of losing nets and broken buckets as well .Actually good to see lots of young eels .Spent 12 hours yesterday on the banks of a syndicate as a guest 57lb catfish and 24Lb common carp Both PB's Good for the mental health to be out fishing

I know how you feel about that long arduous trek from the car park right down past Church Deeps Westy.. the Deeps itself is great for trotting for roach,perch,chub and dace,bite a chuck..further on where you walked to is good for a days sport on the maggot feeder..You are also right about some of the idiots and antisocial behaviour as I've experienced it myself.. enjoying the videos by the way.. Tight lines! 😊🎣

Well another cracking video westy. You have got a hell of a lot of patience and perseverance.nperhaps Percy would be a better name. You were so lucky to have a dad that taught you about fishing co my dad used to take me when I was little and me brother. I only started course fishing last year and I am retired now. But eh it's getting off ya butt and getting out in the fresh air that's what it's all about. Can't wait for the rod race 😊😊😊x

we all get beginings to a sesh like that! just keeping it real mat...in my years angling experience ..when wandering less is best..ridge monkey bucket xl...ya can even buy a seat top for it ..fits all my tackle and bait in it for a day...smaller rod bag with just single long sticks and 1 or 2 rods..different if youre just targeting a known swim...were youre settling in for the day....ya can take the kitchen sink...tight lines mat...

Mate I'm dead from today on that ribble my backs destroyed and that's without barrow 🤣 ma Mate got a beast of a perch out 2.4lb a 6lb pike and lost 2. Try a live bait next time mate you never know could get a 20lb pike out

Usual, guru n-gauge hooklength material , 4 oz feeder and 10/12 Korum allrounder hook

might be worth investing in a drone to check the river so you dont have to carry all your stuff up the river to find out its no good. just an idea ;)
