Welcome everyone back to a Sole Adventures NZ vlog. went out surfcasting in the bay after work on 12 &13 October 2023. Few good catches including 2 small trevally, couple good kahawai and 3 Blue Moki. Shout out to the 2 bros that was out there fishing with me too.

If you're wanting to catch snapper, sacrifice a kahawai and take the scales off and take the fillets off and use a chunk of the kahawai for a big snapper bait

Cheers Peter. Mate had an awesome arvo landing those 3 moki. Fresh mussels was what he was using. I'm still wanting to land 1 my self😂. Good luck with the Moki 👍

@@SoleAdventuresNZ should tr using prawn or cray tails for bait. cheapest cray tail i found was at pak n save haha although if u find pipis/tuatuas should try them out too. i find them to b gr8 baits surfcasting in general
