Gabriel my man, thank you for another great video! Around 1:00 you were talking about the ED flavors and you mentioned that Fulfillment service could call an API of Order service, to get the order (as an alternative of putting order data inside the event itself). Doesn't that make Fulfillment service tightly dependent on Order service, which then goes against the whole point of EDA ? I apologize if I'm being stupid, I am just not sure that I understood it properly. Thx :)

It indeed increases coupling, sometimes you don’t have a choice or the alternative would be too complex to manage (you always have a choice but I mean that the trade off is not worth it), I’ve encountered situations where the simplest solution was to do this query back, the only fix was to rearchitect our systems and it took about a year to complete.

It doesn’t negate entirely the benefits of EDA, since you have persistent event queues (if you use something like Kafka for instance), so you can retry, you have a buffer to scale based on throughput and there is increased decoupling even if less than a fully asynchronous flow.

If you have the time and effort i dont see why you shouldnt store everything as events. As Greg Young says, you don't know what your data will be worth in the future.
