When I was a kid, my parents divorced and I split my time with both parents. My dad bought me tons of toys (only child) in the early 90s. He became homeless and had to put everything including my toys into storage. My mom refused to have my toys brought into her house. A few years later, my dad couldn't pay for his storage unit, and it was sold, including my toys. I can't express how traumatic this was for me as a kid. When I turned 18, I began buying my old toys on Ebay. My dad helped me find them for many years, until he began to suffer from dementia. I'm only 34, but my dad is 71. My oldest daughter is 13, and I've saved many of her toys, despite what she wants. I don't want anyone going through what I went through.
It's so weird that you posted this tonight! I have just resently gotten into Ever After High (I know, I'm like three years late to the party) and I'm obsessed with it! I watched Dragon Games tonight for the first time 😱 So good! And I ordered some of the dolls from ebay, they are gonna be my first EAH dolls ever! Very exciting! Thank you for showing off more gorgeous dolls I now obviously need 😉😘

As a serious collector I have bought back most of the dolls my mother sold at a garage sale when I was 9. She sold my dolls and toys as well as my brother’s. So I have the most of my Strawberry Shortcake dolls, G1MLP and even my 1982 Annie doll from the movie of the same year. The lesson is to warn parents not to relieve your kids of their toys before they are ready. In response to your question about display. I keep all of my dolls on display all of the time. I only store my soft toys and plushies. I don’t have kids, so keeping them out all of the time in my office is no problem! [Based on your purchases here I would say you are an EAH Royal]
I tend to store all of my smaller toys and figures from the 80s and 90s under my bed in bins. Most of my plush, dolls, mlp, etc... are on display, but many of my vintage toys are in storage, where I rent a 10x10 every month. I live in an apartment, with young kids, so keeping them out of my collectible toys is difficult. I wish I had the freedom to display them anywhere like you.

I’m currently not transitioned, but I know I’m a transgender woman, so I go everyday channeling multiple personalities because I can’t come out yet, but I’m glad there are amazing people out there who do support and show it so valiantly. Literally everything you explained about repurchasing childhood dolls after either getting rid of or just not taking as much care of is exactly why I've been purchasing my childhood Barbies/play sets. I'm 27, a new doll collector as I just started this year but definitely not new to collecting as my husband and I collect many different things from Star Wars, Funko Pop, Hello Kitty, Disney Harry Potter and DC Comics. Although I do not have any Monster High or Ever After High dolls I do eventually plan on collecting them. I've been in Love with EAH dolls since I first saw them. My favorite and #1 on my must buy list is definitely the signature rebels Madeline Batter doll and second being the 2pk of Hunter & Ashlynn.
I feel that. I got rid of so much of my stuff because I was basically told I was to old for dolls and now I’m looking for all of my old dolls on eBay. 😅
My favourite character was always Ashlyn Ella and Apple white. Apple just had such an amazing arch and the way they did her character really made us look at both royal and rebel sides.
Royally Ever After Apple was a TRU Exclusive. A simplified version of SDCC Evil Raven Queen was also released but I am not sure if she was also a TRU Exclusive.
There was Royally Ever After Apple, Spellbinding Raven and Heartstruck Cupid that were all similar in theme (fancy lol). I believe they were all TRU exclusives, I am kicking myself for not getting the Raven. I have the SDCC one but not the TRU one....lol.
That Lizzie actually has a lot of flaws: she is supposed to wear a blue underdress (not black), she is missing white arm cuffs for her gloves, she doesn’t have her gold shoulder pads (not whatever necklace she is wearing right now), she is missing her card back piece for her dress, she is missing her purse and ring
I’m so glad I’m a horder because when I thought I had outgrown dolls I wouldn’t let my mum sell them so I put them in my loft and I’m so happy because in the last 7 months I’ve gotten back into collecting bratz and monster High and just went up into the loft and carried on collecting like nothing happened 😊
For glue seepage, I have used this technique which I found from Jay Dolls UK, is to soak the hair in multi surface furniture polish, (wear rubber gloves with this process and also with the washing out) leave for thirty minutes and then wash out with soap or shampoo. Repeat if needed. It worked for me with a very gluey Maddie Hatter.
I didn't get into dolls until my kids did in 2018, it was such a strange time to get into dolls. Love monster high and ever after high. The kids just got a couple of the dolls from their teenaged sister and we were hooked but they were cancelled.
Stop saying that, no it wasn’t. The way dolls work is that you make a doll, and pitch it to stores. If stores want it, look over the brands track records it’s playsets or that specific dolls previous merchandise and if it’s good or they just want more toys or anything to sell, they buy it. The only person who bought Apple was Toys R Us since the other stores didn’t want it, there was never an exclusive sticker on the package. That’s why the Spectra Haunted Playset was cancelled, it’s because no stores wanted to buy it which was surprising, so they had to cancel it.

I know absolutely nothing about these dolls, but your enthusiasm is just so damn entertaining! As a fellow collector, I’ve purged, panicked, and re-bought MANY things over the years. 😂 Doing it right now with 1985 Teddy Ruxpin. We can thank pandemic depression for that one!

I just bought an original apple from Mercari, she came wrapped in newspaper which transferred ink to her face and smells like mildew. Other than that she’s perfect and was about $25 I think. I’m a cautious now.
Mercari is okay- the support team itself tho is garbage. As someone who sold dolls before- they are kinda ridiculous and don’t help. Buying perspective it was a great place to get dolls but yep ur right now the sellers found it
The Apple white with rooted lashes was sold at toys rUs I saw her here in Manhattan when it was open😕 I never got her because all the ones they had didn’t look right, eyes 👀 looked pop eyes... yours is lovely 😊
I still have my collection and adore it. The dolls were so detailed and fun. Like you I wish they hadn't reduced the quality of the dolls. Having Darling Charming in full armer would have been amazing. I would have loved a doll of Raven as the person she would become. The Raven the designers saw in the future who kept leading the Rebels and found a way to rewrite her destiny. Otherwise I would have loved a complete line of the Hat-Tastic dolls. Raven, Dexter, Lizzie, Kitty, there were so many other amazing designs they could have done. More Legacy Day dolls would have been awesome and Crown-Coming! I wanted Ashlen in that dress so much! Anyone else wished they'd brought out any other designs as dolls?
They may not be dolls, but I ended up selling most of my Littlest Pet Shop collection a few years ago, thinking I had outgrown them. Only got £20 out of it as no one wanted it at £40. I regretted it instantly. My grandma volunteers at a charity shop, and someone brought in their child's ENTIRE collection of LPS, and my grandma bought them for me instead. I remember being absolutely speechless when she took them out of her car and showed me.. it was truly one of the best days of my life. Now as a 15 year old, I have over 300 LPS and would never even THINK of selling any of them.. not after the pain and regret of doing that the first time-
When I was 14 (35 now), I went to visit some family and we went to a doll museum. I had saved up my money for like a year to purchase a doll there, and got an Eliza Doolittle Barbie. It was the only one I ever kept in box. Then I grew up, moved out, figured my mom would keep her in a closet where she had been. Went to look for her once I had a child,, and she had been put in a garage and got rained on and thrown out. 😓 Luckily I can share my love of dolls still with my 10 year old now. I love these videos where you show your doll collections and new dolls! ❤❤❤
I have the Tricastlon set (in fact I think I reviewed them on my channel). They're actually amazing quality, and I think they're totally worth it! Also, that Lizzie hearts is not wearing her original top or neck/shoulder piece. It looks like she's wearing a Raven Queen top and a Madeline Hatter mirror beach necklace.

I mostly only collect strawberry shortcake dolls but the videos inspire me to expand my collection of monster high/ever after high dolls! Once I earn a little more.. disposable income.
im starting to recollect monster high, i gave away most of my dolls a few years ago when i thought i outgrew them. god i regret it so much. im still pretty young, im 13, but i dont really play with dolls. i went to a few thrift stores and i found the sister pack clawdeen, original jinafire, music festival abbey, and frights camera action draculaura. didnt find original howleen though :(
Yes, I gave away all my vintage Barbie's because I was "to old" to play with them which included my 1962 red head bubble cut Barbie that my mother got for me at Christmas and my 1970 Barbie Dream House. Worst decision I ever made. Recently I found, on Ebay, the 1962 red head Bubble Cut Barbie for a good price and in good condition and I bought her. I bought the vintage red swimsuit separately that the doll came in. Now I just have to find a metal Barbie stand that came with her. The Dream House I can't afford. Even in pieces it's to expensive. I've bought a lot of Barbie's since 1995 when I bought the Holiday doll for that year. Thanks to your channel, My Froggy Stuff, and a few others I watch, I know I'm not alone in my love for the doll, or dolls in general. I have Botox injected as well in my right arm. I had a stroke in August of 2018 to try and get my arm to relax enough and not have my finger curl up. I didn't have them inject it until 2020. I was trying to get my arm and hand to come back on it's own but I had to have it done because the spasticity interferes with moving my arm and hand normally. There's so many muscles to try and get to work in the arms just to get a hand to hold a pencil.
Yes, I re-collected some of the Barbies I had as a child. And a few I never had but always wanted because my neighbor had them. 🙈My favorite Ever After High is Spring and Sprung Kitty ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have definitely done some doll re-collecting. I also rotate my collection - that's one of my favorite parts of doll collecting because when I take them out I re-appreciate them all over again. Congrats on re-getting so many cute dolls - I think Lizzie was my fav today.

I don't know if anyone remembers moxie girls and liv dolls but when I was around 10 those were all I wanted to collect! I thought the removable wigs of liv dolls were so cool! I had so many bratz, barbies and those dolls too. I just graduated college and am now wondering where all my dolls went! I probably did the ole "oh you can do whatever you want with them, mom!" lol recently now I search eBay for lol dolls I missed so now I have some oldies to look for too! I am just now getting into doll collecting as an "adult" and your videos have helped me over come my fear of being "too old". I always knew I loved toys and dolls but recently I've been actually acting on it by buying my first lol doll and now i'm obsessed with eBay and finding deals! currently searching for a candylicious 😂
The Apple White with the sceptre has a really pretty dress! Shame 1bout the shoes, they should have been gold or red or at least have had gold accents on them. Also, red lipstick would be nicer than pink!
I'm a seller on Mercari and I can vouch that it is an amazing app, both for the buyers and the sellers. Shipping prices are a lot cheaper and you get way more amazing deals than Ebay. I had to sell a lot of my old doll collections and I never thought I would enjoy being a seller so much!
I bought all of the signature dolls I was missing, and even restored a great deal of them since I got some from my local Once Upon A Child stores, and I couldn't be happier. I love them. I am not customizing them by coloring their plastic accessories to make them more show accurate.

I’ve seen Ghoulia Deadfast on Mercari for $200 btw. I really suggest mercari. Also the white plastic cage on royally ever after are fancy sleeves. Just move them forward.
I fell in love with eah when it first came out, I always loved Disney and fairytales but there was nothing quite like eah and there still isn’t. I was never allowed to collect the dolls back then which is heartbreaking to me, I’m only about 2 year older than Caden but was always told I was too old for dolls. But now that I earn my own money I’ve been starting to collect run down eah dolls and giving them a new lease of life. Starting with the signature doll of my all time favourite character, Cerise Hood! Back when I couldn’t collect these dolls, I loved watching your videos and recently I refound them. Hopefully I am build up a collection of my favourite dolls and clean them all up (including so very hard done to hair) and paint extra details on them. I’m even making cerise the ears she should have had

Because I love the IT dolls and their fashions, I was very happy and relieved to discover Mercari, where I find much fairer-priced items, as well as wonderful service. I have purchased over a dozen items and I've never had a problem. I always use PayPal when I purchase anything on line as an extra precaution. Just like eBay, you can save searches and are notified when the items are put up for sale. Etsy, eBay, and Mercari is where most of my disposable income goes. Oh, and thank you for recommending the press on nails. I love them and now I won't have to go to a shop for a manicure (more $$ for my dolls) You make me laugh -- thank you!
Love your Ever After High doll eBay haul 😍💖 wow I missed out on some amazing dolls with Ever After High and will also have to do an eBay haul soon as I love all these dolls. The outfits are really well detailed and are very beautiful dolls. I regretfully sold a lot of my Monster High dolls a while back as wish I had them now and am buying some of them again on ebay. I love the Royally Ever After High Apple doll but love all of them and not sure which character is my favourite yet. It's a pity they eventually made them cheaper with the molded on parts. I have recently moved to a new house and it is taking a while to get my doll display sorted out again, but also change them around as there is not enough space to display them all. Love your eBay haul and will definitely have to buy some of these dolls. 😍💖

I realy love dolls. I have a lot of barbies , Winx dolls and one LOL OMG.Resently I discovered EAH and I want to buy fist chapter Apple, Raven, Madeline, Briar, Cedar, Cerise, Ashlynn and Hunter and the getting fairest dolls.But that costs 1000$ and I am only 13!!!!
