Thank you Jeff for another video.. Really happy your back to making video's .... Would Love to come accross the river 1 day and talk shop and see the work you do.. Have a Blessed weekend and enjoy the break in the rain.. JDAS
I ran into this issue about a year ago when the Solus first came out. Great action, but not enough room for the breech plug to go through the 3 lugs. I just take the barrel off after hunting season and remove breech to clean etc. Then put on a 6mm creedmoor barrel for spring summer fall general rifle shooting.
I'd recommend you check out the Coup de grâce action by American rifle company. It has the same features you mentioned of the solus, plus you get an adjustable trigger hanger (for timing/eliminate the drop on close) a mecanical ejector, control round feed extractor with single feed capability and a pivoting handle for primary extraction, all that and more for 899$. That's a pretty good action in my opinion!
Jeff love your content keep it up! I enjoy people that are willing to talk truth. Thank you I hope you keep making videos. Been playing with my guns my whole life and just getting ready to talk my self into starting it full time. 👊
There's plenty of work out there for everyone, as long as your honest with your customers and do good work you will have plenty to do. That goes for any skill, whether its roofing or plumbing, be good at what you do and honest with people, you'll go far in life.
Took a brand new rifle out this past season. Had a high grade walnut stock. Fell in a hole 5 min into legal shooting time on opening day. Broke the stock in half. Walked back to the truck, and a massive mule deer was standing right there. Didn’t even care. Was so upset lol.
That experience was bout as memorable as woulda been the kill….i shot a 16” .308 right beside a white oak no plugs in and with the area 419 hellfire brake I promise you won’t make that mistake twice…ruined my hunt..slung the rifle and pulled out the longslide trp on the hike back….my ears ring bad daily from alot of fire..
I just built a Savage model 116 300 win mag this last deer season got sighted in and the first day of deer season I went out and the bolt wouldn't lock down on the ammo not sure what happened
