We have a mama deer who lives in/around our forest. Most days each Spring she walks through our woods with her baby/babies. Last year, she had twins. This year she has just one fawn. So beautiful to see! We are grateful she feels safe to be here with us!
We have deer that hang around our golf course in south eastern Alberta. Fawns laying low in the shade between the green and Tee box while mana watch’s on from underneath a spruce tree. Nature adapts and flourishes, no need for taxes and punitive regulations from the talking heads.
Oh, yeah. Saw this in our back yard in Maine a couple years ago as we were having coffee on the deck. The spotted babies came out of the woods and happily ran up and down the lawn, then went back when mama called from just behind the trees. But they ARE adorable, aren't they?
Yup, she has them in my neighbors backyard and teaches them how to eat our hostas every year. They just cleaned them out a few days ago. Tomatoes and peppers will be next and then the wild celery down near the creek. Makes fall cleanup easy.
🤦♂️ Why do people shoot vertical videos? Yes. Sometimes there is a reason to do it, but 🥴 If you're outdoors, horizontal is almost always the best option.
At my 92 year old mother’s house, the doe would stand on hind legs to lick seed out of the bird feeder and the fawns would gather around her to get the seed that fell to the ground. Really a beautiful sight.
I have deer that visit my backyard. There are three does, Each gave birth this spring. One had a set of twins, one of which is a piebald. They are so beautiful.
@@TheYamahog12 When I worked in Connecticut for a bit I used to hunt near Lake George and further up. Lake Placid is God's country, like Montana, Idaho, Wyoming. I used to be a big hockey fan watching the Whalers, until they moved south. Once that happened, I stopped watching hockey all together. Now I think they are called the Canes, not really sure.
Good chance one or both of those fawns will fall prey to a predator such as coyotes or black bear in the first couple months of life. The baby deer are probably safer being close to people early in their life because the predators avoid people.
You are welcome to come and take all of the deer that wander through my property every day. And take them with you. They eat everything I try to grow. (Not so cute really.)
