He just left and abandoned his two children, one of whom was sick and then the other one was stuck taking care of him. He's not a bad big brother, he's actually a really amazing brother. Fuck the dad though. HE'S the bad one.

Big Landry is the best brother, taking care of his little brother, then continuing to take care of him AFTER his dad leaves, when he is still just a child himself, making a horrible decision that he has to make alone. I can't imagine it. And what about the sick brother? Those poor boys. The dad is the villain of the story, not Big Landry.
