Wonderful! I did this trek way back in '99, long before there were 4K cameras, and this video makes my photos look awful by comparison! Looks like you had some spectacular weather, so clear. Thanks for helping to bring back some wonderful memories!
@@Wonderliv Spectacular videography. Please reply with a link if available where we can see what cameras you used! I did the trek in 2019. I see that, like me, you were fascinated by the glaciers! I am planning a trip for December 2023 to climb Mera Peak. Thanks for sharing your adventure with the world!
Such a stunning and wonderful piece of film. I’ve watched a lot of videos of the trek from luckla to Everest base camp this one is spectacular, I don’t know, having not been there if the colours of the scenery are this vibrant but these images are really beautiful. I hope this hasn’t been photo shopped in any way? Loved it
I did heli flight from Kathmandu to kalapathar in April 2018 with my daughter and then did trek to EBC in November 2018 and fulfilled a boyhood dream of seeing Everest 🇳🇵
@@ivanleone82 I did heli flight in spring to base camp and we flew over the summiteers in their tents which was quite exciting to see but doing the trek we were told oct/nov was better as less crowded on the trail,we had -20c overnight and about zero during the day, stay safe
Been there. Simply amazing. Glad for the video. My husband threw away all. ALL my memories when he did not pay storage fees. So sad. So glad. Thank you for your beautiful production and the memories it helps me retrive
Very nice work... did the trip in October 2016 as a 68 year old... you've captured the whole experience very well, EXCEPT.... the two incessant sounds. The welcome sound of Yak bells coming downhill toward you so you can have a rest for a few minutes, and the damned helicopters going up and down the valley to rescue optimistic hopefuls who underestimate the preparation and effort necessary. It's not cheap to be ferried out! Glad I did it-- bucket list stuff, now not available cos of Covid and my rapid deterioration in fitness! Great work.
Sou do Brasil e com esses vídeos, conheço lugares que jamais conseguiria chegar pessoalmente! Viagem incrível, parabéns! Muito obrigado por compartilhar conosco!
Awesome video. I did the same trek with my wife 3 years ago, this brought back so much memories, I can still feel the morning cold mist and smell of the Himalaya. Thanks for sharing and taking me back with your journey.
So glad you got to do this amazing journey before this crazy year. Memories that I’m sure those of us who’ve done it will cherish forever. Everest base camp trek is so beautiful.
You got this spot on. Thanks for putting the effort in and uploading. I went in 2002 and this puts context back in place for me better than all the other videos I have watched.
WOW. This is one of the most beautiful videos I have ever seen. I know I'll never manage to get there but this looks incredible. I wonder how many miles you covered there during that amazing trek! What did you film this with? The quality is outstanding! Thanks for sharing this.
@@onoyoudont As I mentioned earlier, I know I'll never manage to get there. It's an impossible task, given my health issues, distance and other factors so unfortunately, I'll never be able to say "I did it". However, seeing videos like this is a joy, watching others achieve what I can't.
@@hauntological I'm sorry, it was presumptuous of me. But it is a wonderful video and trust me it does a fantastic job of transferring the spectacle of this fantastic place without having to suffer altitude sickness ;) Take care.
Thankyou for sharing this beautiful footage of your trek to EBC,I made the trek in 2019 and it was the most beautiful and amazing adventure in all my life,so to see such fantastic footage and relive my journey brings me great joy. Thankyou so much.
It is one of the most amazing experiences indeed, specially with everything that is going on now, we can feel very fortunate to have done it. Ebc trek is beautiful. Thanks for liking the video 🤗
hi! if you don't mind, i just want to ask how much is the total cost going up in EBC. i mean the total in everything like airfare, fees, food, hotels, etc. thabk you so much! climbing atleast in EBC is my wildest dream and to see mt. everest would be one of my goal
@@Bliss_1987 It really depends, if you search online you will see many tours costing many thousands of Dollars. Your best bet is to fly to Kathmandu and plan everything once in Nepal, this will be much much cheaper. Feel free to email us at info@wonderliv.com I can give you some details on the company I used for the trek.
Thank you so much that was a really great account of the EBC Trek got me chapming at the bit to come back to Nepal and do it again as soon as I can. Some great capures along the way! Wishing you happy travels and continued amazing videos 🙏🙏🙏
Same to you. Nothing like being out in nature and admiring what this beautiful earth has for us. Hopefully we can go back to exploring the world soon 🌎
Awesome view and work. Thanks for sharing. > Watching from Australia. I have been painting for the last 40 yrs and taking pictures, this place is ideal for me. who knows one day I will go.
Wow you sure captured some amazing footage. Thank you for sharing it with us all. I really enjoyed watching it although I'll probably never get to go. You kinda took me there.
So glad my video helped you experience this truly amazing part of our planet. This is why I made the video as true as possible as the experience of hiking 🥾 all the way to base camp. Stay safe friend and thanks for stopping by 🤗
Hola!!! Me ha encantado el video. Las reservaciones de los hoteles las hicieron con mucha anticipación o diariamente según llegaban a los pueblo ???????
I just added it to the description but here it is For anyone interested in my detailed trek here is the breakdown: - Flight from Kathmandu To Lukla (video here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--s5Tdx8H_yU.html) - 1st Night in Tok Tok - 2nd and 3rd night in Namche Bazar - 4th Day Pangboche - 5th Day Dingboche - 6th Day The Pyramid | Ev-K2-CNR (www.evk2cnr.org/cms/en/evk2cnr_committee/pyramid) - Day 7 Reached basecamp and back to the Pyramid - Day 8 to 11 I followed the same route back to Lukla.
Wonderful video! When I get my savings together I definitely do my planned 3 months Nepal photo-trek. Thanks, for showing the glacier part! May I ask when did you do the trek? You had nice weather, and I would like to know the season.
The trip was March of 2018. The weather was perfect as it wasn’t too cold. I highly recommend it, hope you get to do it soon. The glacier part most people don’t visit it so make sure you check it out is close to the actual base camp.
QUESTION: Beautiful video! I'm doing the trek in 2024 and in the middle of research. Can you please share your approach for daily water (e.g. sources, filtering, amount). Thanks!
Try to be as light as possible. I brought a sawyer mini water filter and was able to use it daily on every stop without the need to carry lots of water everyday.
@@Wonderliv Thanks for your response - but what was the water source? A hose / faucet at the lodging? Were you buying bottled water? Combination of the two? Thanks.
That was a GREAT video, so clear and it was relaxing to watch. When staying in Kathmandu, does the drinking water need to be treated, do they provide bottled water or!!!
Thanks so much, is such a magical trek, Most hotels do provide you with bottled water, but what I did is I brought my own portable water filter and this is what I used in the entire trek.
Glad you liked it. If you have a medium physic you should be able to do it. I exercise regularly, never done a marathon and was able to do it no problem.
I’ll say if you exercise regularly it’s doable without lots of preparation. Message me at info@wonderliv.com, happy to share specific tips about the trek
Парень скользил по льду, и я заметила, как над ним тигр смотрит с вершины горы, прям с макушки страшными глазами,🐅 если увеличить, то ясно видно😁 каменный, конешно, 42:55. Или 43:13
Man how far is the place @ 40:51 from basecamp point where people click pics. I went to ebc back in 2018, but didn't encounter that. Is that even further to ebc point
How about visiting in September or October? Also can you mention about best of the stays in between ? Lodge names . At initial level of trek n while descending back , is it advisable to do overnight camping ?
You fill find plenty of stays along the way. From very basic ones to more luxurious ones. Check the weather as I’m not sure how cold it will be in sept/oct.
Why did you go both up and down via Tengpoche, when there is a much more interesting and impressive trail on the opposite side of the valley going Namche - Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche? Tremendous views across the valley, lots of wildlife and almost no trekkers. Takes the same amount of time, good lodges in Phortse. Tengpoche can be visited on the way down.
@@Wonderliv Some kind of misunderstanding here, Phortse route takes exactly the same number of days as the standard route. Just that Tengboche night, in you case Pangpoche, would be replaced by Phortse. Or you could go all the way to Pangpoche also like you did, but using the High Scenic Trail. Next time... Several people have blamed time concerns when asked about this, I suspect they just not were even aware of the more interesting Phortse variation but do not want to admit it.
How long does it take to trek to the base camp at everest i was thinking it would be 5 to 7 days but its saying 12 to 14 is that right . Any information would be very much appreciated thank you 😊
Most people account for 12 days. I was able to do it in 9, but I kind of rushed on the way back with very long days of hiking. I’ll say someone with average fitness should be able to easily do it at an enjoyable pace in 11. You have to keep in mind that several days are accounted for getting used to the altitude.
@@Wonderliv ah thank you for your help 👍 much appreciated. Yes I think tour guides maybe 12 to 14 days bu the look of it and on your own maybe quicker. I've looked at the poon Hill trek which takes about 7 days or less just wondering if that might be worth it as have not got 14 days of time to spend trekking as amazing as it would be I feel using that time to see other places of nepal would be better spent
