The Realm will probably ride better offshore because it will have more deadrise than the Regal. The Regal 38 SAV shares the same hull as the Regal 38 XO which was built as cruiser with more emphasis on controlling the roll of the boat if you were sleeping on it. Nobody in the market can compare to the cockpit space and cabin space on the 38 SAV but the Whaler was designed with more deadrise and offshore pedigree from their center consoles
I have 2019 Boston Whaler 38 Realm we just took on trade, customer bought Everglades 365 from us. The 38 is very heavy (24,000 LB) I have not run the boat offshore yet but it seems very nimble for it's size with the quad 350's. Customer who traded the boat said there is dramatic difference between the two boats and how they ride but in fairness the Realm is really not center console and has the weight distributed differently than traditional center console
