I’m surprised, Everhood’s ending didn’t seem to lend itself that well to sequels, at least not conveniently ones. I do think there was a lot about Everhood’s lore that could be further explained in sequels, though, so I’m very excited for this!
my guess is that this is a prequel to everhood since at the end of the game the everyone and the world is destroyed. there is the implication that everhood is a time loop with cat god but there is also the chance that this is an alternate reality.
This quickly jumped to the top of my most anticipated indie game list. This game was the most unexpected thing to happen and I loved it beginning to end.
the fact this is a gameplay sequal and not a story sequel makes my heart beat with joy. The story of the OG everhood was wonderful and needed no continuation. So to see the gameplay refined but the OG story not tainted is just... I swear I'm gonna cry
I continuously listen to Euthanasia Rollercoaster (all four parts) because of how much this game affected me. I never thought we’d see a sequel, but I am 200% down for it. The music already slaps.
Everhood quite literally changed my life, I'm a writer and I've learned so much more about things by listening to voices that speak the same way I do. Thank you you wicked weird gnomes, truly from the bottom of my heart
hands down my most anticipated sequel. i played everhood recently and fell head over heels in love with it. you're telling me im getting more of the same great aesthetic and character writing with a more fleshed out battle system? sign me up. day 1 buy.
0:33 - Well look at that, the mushrooms from the Mushroom Forest are returning. Well, they technically didn't count towards your soul count in that game, so I guess they're special? 1:23 - LOOK IT'S IRVINE! They DID escape to another world in the last game, didn't they? And of course the Gnomes are back at 1:24!
Everhood is probably one of my favourite games of all time I actually cried when I finished it both because I loved the story and I was sad that it was over. But now to see the sequel will be coming and all the new features it seems to have im so exited and hope even more people will play this game.
Played the first game last year and easily became one of my favorites and now this?? Definitely gonna be my most anticipated game of the year!! I seriously can't stop coming back to this trailer
As soon as I got the Notification I watched this Trailer. Everhood is not only a Great Game and among my Favourite Gaming Experiences of all Time, but it also deeply spoke to me and genuinely helped me develop mentally. This Game has left an Impact on me that will never go away... I cannot even begin to try to exclaim my utter Amazement at this News, I simply cannot downplay this. Foreign Gnomes, I may have not sent you a Message after I finished the Game, though I originally intended to, but I just want you to tell this: *Thank You.* Thank You with all my Heart and Soul.
Instant wishlist, and it will be an instant buy the moment it releases. Everhood is an underrated masterpiece, and I'm so excited for this unexpected sequel!
I am so extremely excited holy shit Definitely didn't expect another Everhood title but god i am SO here for it. This all looks banger, loving the snippets of track we got, and it looks like theres going to be a much larger world... Which means so much more rhythm combat! Everhood is hands down my favorite rhythm game among all rhythm games and I'm gonna be there day one when it's ready Secretly hoping for more racing sequences! And you bet yer ass im gonna be boof'd as hell
I'm honestly not sure if they can ever top their original game Everhood, because of how meaningful and powerful of a message they earned through making that story, but maybe since the last game had the characters be all immortals, this one will be about the decision to become immortal in the first place? Either way, excited for the game!
Oh my god. I got into this game at the perfect time. I think played Everhood for the first time in January or March. I wasn't sure if there would be a sequel based on the ending, but now I am super excited for more of your work! This definitely seems like a prequel, so that's super awesome!
1:00 this quickly became one of my fav tracks in everhood. im genuinely gonna be so miserable waiting for the game to come out so i can listen to it fully lol
Okay, this is a surprising, but welcome addition to look forward to. Absolutely loved the original, and I didn't think you'd got for another one on account of the ending... but this one already looks absolutely amazing. Already put it on the wishlist, and I'm looking forward to updates. also, you knew what you were doing with lucy weren't you?
This looks like it will be an incredible sequel! Outstanding visuals, awesome music, similar yet revamped combat system, a sexy slime girl - what more could a guy ask for!? Oh... Can my soul be PURPLE?
At the very real risk of being disappointed, I would like to inform everybody that Everhood was released only a month after its announcement trailer dropped, so the second game could be releasing much sooner than we think, despite the lack of a strict release window. Of course, one example does not a pattern make, and the announcement trailer for Everhood did confirm a release date, while this one does not, so there’s not actually any reason to believe that Everhood 2 will follow suit, but a man can dream.
You know, I've never played the first game. I don't think I've even heard of it, this just showed up in my recommended. This looks fun, and I'm definitely gonna play it when it comes out!
I cant express how quickly this has jumped into being one of my most anticipated games. Everhood is easily one of my top ten favorite games period and this looks like it has the potential to easily surpass the first outing. Easily a day one purchase for me
Holy sweet mother of cat god am I actually crying? This isn't a joke! This is one of the few times a video game trailer has legit drew tears from my eyes!
I'm very glad this is going towards a more traditional RPG route. Everhood was amazing but with every battle being scripted to happen it didn't really feel like an RPG adventure. Insanely hyped!
