🚨UPDATE FROM THE BRIDE🚨 Since this episode has aired, the designer and her team have reached out personally to the bride (Efya) to apologise 🙌🏾 To rectify the situation, the designer and her team have fully refunded her order! 💸 Furthermore, they've extended an offer of a complimentary dress of her choice to make up for the initial experience. 👗 They are now collaborating with Efya to prevent any future occurrences like this one 🥂

Also, I came back to say don’t be scared! There are so many amazing parts of planning a wedding 😍😍 HOWEVER it’s good to have a 360 view of the process so that you can make informed decisions when the time comes ❤️❤️

from my experience, its the bride that typically does the distancing. However, two things can be true at the same time. Either way it goes, communication and honesty is almost always the solution.

I agree as a young bride, your peers do alieanate you and give off weird energies. Now that they are getting married and I am 10 yrs down I see that a lot of it stemmed from envy. They cannot be happy for you because they want what you have

I recently found this podcast and have been enjoying it very much. I binged through the podcast this weekend. 🙌 I would love to see bridesmaids come on this podcast. It would be awesome to also hear the perspective of bridesmaids and groomsmen. Because sometimes, I’ve noticed that the perspective of some of these brides are very linear and some lack accountability for what went wrong in their wedding planning (this is a general statement, not pointing fingers at a specific bride - just my general observation). The perspective of vendors as well would be very much appreciated. All these voices give insight to the wedding planning process, journey, do’s and dont’s, trauma, , etc and provide a well-rounded learned experience for the audience.

Honestly I’m so sorry you went through that. The kente business is absolutely crazy. Vendors literally need to learn to make things that has been agreed on. Don’t agree on something and make a change without speaking to someone who’s paying so much for it😢

i feel like your friend should be able to say they don't like you makeup without feelings being hurt, as long as you liked your makeup whats the problem
