As an Everton fan, I’d absolutely love Minteh. Our own PSR issues are resolved now Godfrey has gone meaning we can keep Branthwaite or Onana unless the price is right. We’ve been dealing with PSR for 3 years now remember. It’s all a joke. I’d rather keep DCL for the fee being quoted as he’s a £40-£50m striker with a longer contract but he’s a bosman in 12 months and we can not allow him to leave for free under any circumstances so I’d say £25-30m is fair. You pay cash so it shows on our PSR and we pay it right back so it satisfies Newcastle’s PSR. Win win. These rules are not fit for purpose though. It’s a joke. They’re there to protect the top 6

We will regret selling Callum Wilson, DCL is not the same quality. I hope we find a way to keep Minteh personally. I would rather see us cash in on players that only have a year left and could potentially go on a free in a year, unless we intend to tie them down, cash in now.

If I thought we could just ignore PSR and guarantee ourselves Champs league (by more than 6-10pts beyond the rest of the "big 6") then I'd consider it but we won't have the squad for that. I assume we'd still need to get our books in order for the next year or face further penalty so we'd probably just be kicking the can down the road and looking like arseholes in the process. At least we'd have a bunch of players that would want to leave - sorts out PSR. Bruno to Portsmouth won't be necessary then.
