The law has changed just check it out, in 2022 the government confirmed safe standing could be introduced in premier league and the championship from the 2022-23 season. Everton have built safe standing in the new stadium.
@@terryevason3210 They didn’t change the law - they introduced rail seating which they call ‘safe standing’ but it’s only one fan for one rail seat. The only way to increase capacity at the new stadium from 53,000 to 62,000 is the government changing the law on safe standing to allow 3 fans per 2 rail seats. Highly unlikely the government will change the law
@@terryevason3210 Yes they are, but it’s one fan per one rail seat, so EFC cannot increase the capacity from 53K to 62K that way. It requires a change in the law to allow more fans standing in the south stand lower tier and north stand and north east corner. This government have so much to deal with, changing this law won’t be on their list
