In 1983, 2 years after the 1st entry of Cyprus ever, the Greek jury thought to pass on the Cypriots and awarded them a nice 0. In retrospective this must have felt pretty weird so - to my perception - this was the desicive factor who lead to the Greece - Cyprus 12s once and for all no matter what.

Government of Republic of Cyprus claim to be the only representetive of the Cyprus island yet they act like only Greek people live on the island. And for centuries, Cyprus have remained to be one of the Turkish islands. Before that, Cyprus was one of the Assyrian islands... After this point, unfortunately both sides made many mistakes in a social, potical and humanitarian level, causing pain to each other. I wish all Cypriots leave happily together, without taking under consideration the nationality. Indeed eurovision is not a neighborhood competition however i used to love turkish songs and even felt happy everytime turkey would be on the top as well as Cyprus of course.
