This makes me appreciate even more the whole 5-volley goal of Nagi Seishirou from Blue Lock's latest big match. As someone who doesn't watch real football, I didn't know that's the hardest feat to do as a player.
A great kick from Groß, the amazing movement by Dunk, an excellent cross from Estupiñán, Undav making the space for Mitoma, and the superb finish. Wonderful teamwork!
Here's everything Mitoma had to do in a split second: 1: position himself for the ball; 2. resist the temptation to strike a volley with the first touch; 3. take the brilliant first touch; 4. look up and assess the goal scoring opportunity; 5. determine that the likelihood of a shot second touch would result in a block by Allison or defender (Gomez, I think); 6. not shoot (harder than one thinks, given instinct and muscle memory); 7. identify an alternative without prejudicing goal scoring opportunity - the fake; 8. actually execute the fake; 9. re-assess options and realise he has to shoot with his third touch or lose the opportunity to score; and 10. shoot and execute. MITOMAGIC.
He made it look so damn easy that for casual football viewer this wouldn't even seem that stunning goal, but honestly just brilliant awareness and skill.
I watch football for over 30 years and I can say how he executed it is a sign of an elite player. Not just a very good player, but potentially a generational one, at least in EPL, e.g. Bergkamp or Hazard. I would pay any money for him being a money bag boss
the ball control on this high pressure situation reallly was one of a kind. Very few players are able to keep their cool and feint in front of so many defenders, definitely a sign of quality.
Most people cant scoring in tight area, but mitoma have a degree at dribble and when he researched about dribble, he found about human center gravity, in other word he can predict where his opponent move. Maybe because of that he dribbling on air and then kick the ball.
I'm a born and bred Hibernian supporter who lived in Brighton for over 40 years. I watched Hibs put 6 past Aberdeen on Saturday... but all 6 combined didn't come close to the joy I experienced from this goal and result. Sublime!
Such an intelligent & beautiful goal from Kaoru Mitoma indeed! Have to thank you the equally good assist that resulted in this beautiful goal too! 🙏 🌷🌿🌏💜⚽️🇬🇧🇯🇵
This Community Studiam reminds me of the Brighton Miracle at the Rugby World Cup 2015 where Japan beat South Africa 34-32 in the last minutes. What a wonderful place!
Thank you BHA Official channel. I just can't get enough of this!! Mitoma knocking team mates off in his celebrations is quickly becoming a thing...just don't get hurt!
An excellent goal from an excellent Japanese football player, Kaoru Mitoma should win the Puskas Award for this masterpiece that reminds me of Pelé himself.
今日何回見たかわからないほど素晴らしいゴール‼️ ありがとう 三笘、 ありがとう ブライトン サイコー🎉 A wonderful goal that I don't know how many times I've seen it today!!️ Thank you, Mitoma Thank you, Brighton. The best🎉
I was there and it was the most amazing atmosphere - Mitoma is a genius, a really humble man and such an important player for us, I hope he stays for a long long time 🤞🔵⚪🔥
