Jack McBrayer went from working on Late Night with Conan, to playing a character wanting to be interviewed by Conan, to actually being interviewed on Conan, and finally ending up on the Eric Andre show.
gibus theinfamous I think that’s because Conan and NBC fought bitterly in the middle of 30 Rock’s run. He moved to LA, got another show and probably didn’t want to return there.
Conan has mentioned that he envies his longtime friend Bob Odenkirk's acting talent for comedy, drama, and now action. He also says he looks too distinctive to play any except himself.
Tomasz Skowroński my list was of hosts that are american and I have at least seen once, so I can't judge others who I'm not sure of. One thing is for sure though, litterally anyone is better than Kimmel.
Jack and Aubrey weren't Conan interns. Aubrey was a NBC page though. Some of the interns that went on to be famous are John Krasinski, Mike Birbiglia, Mindy Kaling, Vanessa Bayer, and Ellie Kemper. I can find numerous references to them being his interns but only one article that mentions in passing that Jack was one. Vanessa Bayer is misspelled as Bauer in the same sentence so I question its credibility.
@@dlxmarks i think jack was an actor for conan. theres a conan blooper where an actor is in a big box dressed as a movie, and he falls over and you can see the actor. 99% sure its jack lol
And he appeared on the show a few times before he booked 30 Rock! There's a great interaction between him and Conan in the documentary "Conan O'Brien Can't Stop."
*"I didn’t run into another single living soul. Except one giant lesbian...* *Who is Conan O’Brien, and why is she so sad?"* not an appearance but my favorite Conan mention in 30 Rock
when i was about 13 i would pretend i was the most beautiful man in the world "Morten Harket", and me and my best friend would do MTV interviews as the pop band A-ha.
Watching Kenneth sit there in the guest chair made me laugh because he worked on Conan's show for a few years. Along with John Krasinski, Mindy Kaling, Ellie Kemper otherwise known as the most of the Office cast. I always liked it when Conan would just pop in on 30 Rock.
On the Conan show yes I don't think on 30 Rock though. However at the time of this show she was married to Will Arnett who is Jacks rival in the show. That kinda counts right? lol
RagebrosINC Nah, I think we were calling him an egomanic way before it was cool. You guys keep getting stuck embracing the crazy egomanics when they embrace your politics, though. Who'd have thought you'd get to embrace Roseanne, Kanye, Ted Nugent, and Scott Baio? You're so lucky.
Christen Kimbell did I say my political affiliation? I'm not a retardocrat or a retardican. That's what the world refuses to see...that you liberals are truly racist, judgemental, anti-free speech sacks of shit. Just like republicans. You are no different. Go cry about this on your femanist blog that has 2 followers. Your other account and your mom.
I love when Jenna speculates Jack and Lemon's fight into some kinky romance film thing, he has absolutely mo reaction and keeps on like he didn't hear a word.
The Conan episode of 30 Rock was the one that got me hooked. Rure Jure, Stabbing Robot, Dr Spaceman, "let's not do this, Elizabeth". Just a chaotic masterpiece.
Conan looks like he's five-foot-two when he's behind the desk. It always seems to take me by surprise when he stands up next to someone and he's like YIKES six-foot-something.
Lmao i saw the interview with him being tormented by Eric Andre. Its like he's just in character as himself. "They say if its grey, its good for you." "...No one has ever said THAT"
The best part to me is that "Stabbing Robot" fits in perfectly with Conan's surreal characters, like Pimpbot, Masturbating Bear, Vomiting Kermit, Abe Vigoda and the Fed-Ex Pope.
It was during the last season when the set was being downsized I believe. They even made a joke in another scene about it (Liz's office suddenly turned into a lake with flamingos)
I didn't get why the whole Kenneth-Conan interaction was funny, until I found out Jack McBrayer got his start on Conan's show! Such a great meta moment.
The joke with Kenneth sitting in the chair pretending he gets interviewed by Conan and then clogs feel extra meta given that Jack Macbrayer got his acting start as a bit actor on Conan's show that eventually led to his casting on 30 Rock an his stardom as an actor, leading him to actually sit in that chair and be interviewed by Conan for real lol
On his podcast, Conan talked to Tina Fey about how much better Alec Baldwin is at acting. At least in these clips, Conan seems to be a pretty good actor himself!
I feel like the elevator scene was green screened. It looked odd, and I’m also pretty sure that Conan is much taller than Tina fey. Even taller than this shot would have you believe
