@@Gregory_ferrandis Hey, I do appreciate you saying something (as I do get a LOT of suggestions for episodes) but there's really no need to jump in the fray for me. It honestly doesn't bother me all that much. Also, I never said I was done with Who Did It Better videos. I might be misremembering, but I think I said that when I do return to that format, it'll be as a full season wrapped into one mega video.
0:07 and 17:03 really crack me up I've never laughed this hard at the Thomas fan video honestly. Overall characters and people who share the same name is definitely interesting. Although I'm surprised you didn't mention Patrick the cement mixer and Patrick the Culdee Fell engine but oh well they're not as important as the Bert's. Keep up the good work Adam!
There’s a part of me that wants to see a version of Lost Treasure with Kerry Shale's Topham. Considering how angry Topham got in that movie, and how Kerry Shale handled angry Topham, imagine how intimidating Topham could have sounded.
Not gonna lie, I love these silly little ideas you and your friends come up with, it makes this little fandom feel more normal and more welcoming just because of little ideas like this one, I find a lot of ranking and list videos from this franchise tend to be more serious or more specific on what they’re based on (top 10 episodes, ranking certain seasons, etc) It’s videos like this that break that mould a bit which makes this feel more like any other fandom in my eyes, not just something certain types of people get into, I really appreciate that and I thank you so much for making videos like this one
2:06 I think it makes sense. I remember people on tumblr getting jealous when they found out that shrimps can see colours we can't and canines can taste water in a way we can't.
In this fandom there are 3 Alberts on the MSR. 1 is a Sir Handel with a different shade of blue who is a charming and hard working lad, the 2nd is the same thing but is an arrogant, reckless and stubborn little turd like Smudger and Stanley who dies, and the 3rd is just like with the 2nd one but is a crimson red Hunslet built Narrow Guage engine.
I like to think that he had an arc where he was originally a hunslet who was a turd and got rebuilt several times and every time he got rebuilt something made him change and when he ended up as the sir Handel recolor and became a chipper and hard working lad but ends up having a nasty accident and couldn’t be rebuilt again so he became a ghost to haunt the residents of crovans gate for not repairing him
It kind of makes sense though with his curious personality, like how he wanted to explore the world in the first season. I think it’s pretty in character if I do say so myself
You all ready got me liking this video now that you made a SpongeBob edit with the faces of Bertie, Bert, and Iron Bert added onto Squidward, Patrick and SpongeBob.
What a great ranking this was. When this video was announced, I’ve been trying hard to count many berts as I can. What a challenge that was. Great job! 👍🏻👍🏻
9:27 I agree, when I first saw Emily to the Rescue and heard this dude had a name I thought it was cool but didn’t think much of it until I actually saw Thomas the Babysitter and Thomas’s Fuzzy Friend. I rlly wish they did more with Albert like having him have conversations with the engines
I loved and appreciate this video. I had no idea Sesame Street had a trademark of the Bert and Ernie names. I'm a writer, and have a character that's named Ernie. So, that knowledge really saved me there, and I'll change the Ernie name to something else. Thanks!
In my AU, Albert is the one that fell off the old iron bridge, and was then rebuilt and painted maroon. Rusty said he was never to be seen again because he didn’t know the full story.
I kinda like the idea of Bertram being TFC's name in the TV show. If you're going to have one fat controller for the entire TV show and not acknowledge, uh... The concept of aging, why not give him a name different from all the RWS fat controllers?
Yeah I remember around 04/05 when I was about 10/11 and the Pack was kind of new, I remember wanting both Olivers to appear in the same story. About a decade later, I got my wish!
With you calling bert and ernie as "bert and errrrrrrniiiieeeee" i have a idea for the next video. Can you do a compilation of every time you or someone else said "ernie" and at the end you play a scene from looney tunes were a dentist says "be quiet! Shut up!
13:25 I didn’t know that. At least ‘Arry’s name isn’t Ernie otherwise that would cause more problems. To this day it’s still hard to tell the differences between ‘Arry and Bert. While promos and merchandise depict Bert with more stubble. It’s very hard to notice in the show.
5:05/5:11 I would like to know what model companies (active or defunct) were used to make the various carriages & wagons for Awdry's Mid Sodor Layout (they should have a date stamp of sorts somewhere near the wheelbase)?
I liked Albert the workman since it was another human caracter added with his family instead of more train caracters I liked how they gave humans a story to shine along trains but it would be itonic if his kid thomas grew up to be a workman next minute he has son called percy btw greats vids
I wonder if it was intentional that Iron Bert got his name when Arlesdale Bert already existed, or Oliver the Excavator got his when Oliver the Western Engine already existed, or not... Or maybe the writers just didn't care that those names were already taken
I like to think Bert the cleaner and porter are the same character. Bert, originally a cleaner at Vicarstown, worked his way up to Porter at Tidmouth. After all, the two stories are set apart by a decade
