I love Todo's one , he is like: -Get inspired -Rippoff a famous anime -Hit in a stunning scene. -Does absolute zero damage. So in conclusion , Todo is the GOAT.
he didnt use it to do dmg, he used it to get into "the Zone" which is why he was talking about being left behind bc the other 2 were at 120% of their potential
The whole idea is that all 3 of them are going to their full potential within this fight. This is was showing that itadori and mahito werent the only ones living up to their potential, but that todo was also growing at the same time
@@PhantomShibe what they mean is that todo's black flash kinda does nothing to mahito because as long as mahito is able to maintain the shape of his soul he can't die and there has only been three people who could harm his soul directly
Ye that bugged me too, cuz even if it doesn’t truly hurt Mahitos soul he should still be in pain/stunned from the impact of a fucking black flash from Todo Aoi himself
That shows how busted Mahito is, very few people can hurt him. The only reason why Yuji won was because of all the accumulated damage from Gojo, Nobara and himself.
FUN FACT: Actually in the manga the words “black flash” in the pages were never them saying black flash but it was for visual purposes for manga readers to know they used black flash. But the anime decided for the characters to say it in their head with the voice acting. But I’m not complaining that Mahito scene was bad ass. Also Yuji’s Max Black Flash to end Mahito True Form was SATISFYING with them chanting “Black Flash!”
@@zenitsuthunder3946 I wish they didn’t have the characters say it in their heads because it makes it seem like black flash is a special move or something when it’s just a random critical hit, it isn’t deliberate at all on the parts of the characters. Plus the black and red effects make it very clear visually
@@Dell-ol6hbDoesn't Mahito think something to himself about him thinking Yuji is capable of landing intentional black flashes when they're pushing each other during their fight?
@@ConnorGrummerYou basically have to have a knack for it. Its still luck, but lets say it this way, some characters just have a higher critical hit rate than others.
My favorite is mahitos first black flash. So good. In the manga it was just paneled so well with mahito being outside the paneling and crossing into the others. The anime still delivered that same level of impact.
I’d like to say that Todo’s unbelievable setup for Yuji’s INCREDIBLE black flash will ALWAYS be my favorite. Only Todo, master of weaponized autism, could do something that ballsy and creative with his technique while at such a disadvantage and have it pay off so well. Not to mention how hype the black flash syncing with the final bit of the song was. These two gotta be my favorite fighting duo in anime period.
My favorite tiny detail that I've only now noticed from this video is that during Yuji's first Black Flash he starts drooling due to how focused he is. A drop of spit falls onto the water below him and splashes right before he lands it. During his first Black Flash against Mahito, his head's bowed as he's thinking about Nanami and attempts to focus, before letting out a single teardrop which splashes onto the ground the *exact same way* his drop of spit does during the Hanami fight. The callback is crazy.
Is it the drool you never noticed before or the parallel? I ask because the drool was very specifically focused on by the camera, so I would be surprised if anyone missed it.
Black Flash is my favorite power gimmick in Shonen. It's something that cursed energy users are only able to achieve in the heat of battle and in the state of flow. Black flash is all about the timing. It's like hitting an insane frame-perfect deflect/parry in a video game, shooting a half-court shot, or a very nasty quickscope. It's inconsistent yet very rewarding and hype when pulled off.
It's kinda easy to do that when you're supposed to put your all into voicing a loud obnoxious crazy powerful spirit who is supposed to reflect humanity's deepest desires.
I just noticed. If you watch closely at 3:02 you can see Mahito's soul for a couple of frames. That was when he understood the "true shape of his soul".
Honestly my favorite is Yuta's. The way the guitar synced with it was so cool. My second favorite is Yuji's first black flash against Mahito. Then third is Yuji's maximum output black flash.
@@theoriginalman9426 todos goal wasn't to damage mahito . It was to get in the zone and bring out 120% of his potential as landing a black flash leads to a temporary stats boost
I'm probably biased but I'm still choosing Nanami's as my favorite. A four Black Flash combo, with the last one being a Black Flash 7:3 ratio? Absolutely insane.
@@maybe3568if we think that ratio weakpoint is 2 times more damage. It’s probably gonna be attack power times 2 raised to the 2.5 power. (2x)^2.5
@@matthewliu9127 Eh, I like the sukuna vs. mahoraga fight. While it wasn't as clean as most other fights, I loved the stylization risks they took. It rly added to the mood
@@matthewliu9127 There's a stilization risk when fights with a lot of moving objects are done, I like how all youtube randoms criticize the animation without knowing about animation itself and the deadlines that had to be met, It could be better? yes. Could it have been as stilized as every close to earth fight? Never.
Im personally a sucker for Yuji's first black flash on Mahito where he is apologizing to Nanami. Yes there are other more flashy black flashes but this one just hits so hard and packs an emotional punch. Not to mention Yuji simply looks cold as hell gearing that thing up all "Jan, Ken, Rock" style
a RU-vidr uploaded an undimmed version. The animation and emotional impact of Yuji getting back into the fight for Nanami was what made that black flash so SATISFYING◼️💥❌‼️
@@ShadoRegalia Yes she also hit a black flash, that's why they're shown side by side with the black and red lightning around them. It is more clear in the manga because they literally say both of them do it whereas in the anime you'd have to infer it. Any sorcerer is capable of a black flash it is just random but achieving one is necessary to ascend to the higher tiers of jujutsu
Todos black flash was never meant for damage, it was for yuji. It was him catching up with yuji and mahito who both were in the zone after using their own black flashes. He didn't want to leave his brother to face this battle on his own so he pushed forward and entered his own zone.
Another cool thing about Black Flash is that by its very nature, people like Toji and Maki would never be able to achieve it. It really underscores how they can't be considered true sorcerers anymore because even though they're absolute demons physically, it's like Jujutsu has balanced the playing field by completely barring them from ever achieving that specific Zone.
Maybe some of the most entertaining or lovable characters but definitely not even close to best written, all the characters in JJK are fairly simple and shallow, with a few exceptions like Gojo, Geto, Mahito, and Yuji. A character being well written has nothing to do with how much you like them, you can despise a character and they could still be well written
@@supahx1421 I thought it was great but you can have your own opinion, I’m not the type of mf to get mad at someone for not liking the same things as me
@@Dell-ol6hbyeah I agree. Idk why the author doesn’t give them more personal scenes so we can see them actually interact in their downtime buts it’s always just fight after fight no room for the characters to breathe and let their personalities develop
My favorite part about mahito’s first black flash was that he was so confident that he was going to do a black flash that he said black flash BEFORE actually hitting yuji unlike everyone else who says black flash just after hitting it
Thank you for uploading this! I was searching for exactly this, but you are the only upoader. Its perfect, especially since you added Todo's extended flash!
5 in JJK0 5 in The Goodwill Event 2 against the Death Paintings 6 in Shibuya 4 more yet to come So, it seems like we have a total of 22 Black Flashes in the series as of the most recent chapters. 18 of which have been animated.
3:24 Best Black Flash in my opinion, purely due to it being so powerful that it feels like a genuine finishing move from Yuji putting every ounce of Cursed Energy he had left into it, like Kid Goku's Oozaru Fist against Demon King Piccolo.
My favorite without a doubt is the one from Todoh. In the manga, he just kicks Mahito and that's it. In the anime, they do an incredible sequence accompanied by a brutal blow.
Visual wise my fav is Todo, kinda sucks that it deals 0 damage against Mahito after all that dramatic build up lmao 😅 Feeling wise my fav is Yuta, the impact felt like I’m chewing 6 gum
Itadori's first Black Flach in Shibuya is just perfect, it has the biggest emotional charge of all, included season 1, and the Mahito's struggle by the hit is peak.
2:28 todo is just the goat -get one of the most epic and flashy scenes of the season -lands a black flash on mahito -does litterally 0 damage -refuses to elaborate
that's inconsequential, it will get removed in the bluray version anyway. and when the final version comes out, it will most probably be put onto crunchyroll and definitely be put onto pirated sites@@khalidmallhi
Black Flash kind of feels like the Kamehameha of Jujutsu Kaisen as far as usage goes. Its most commobly assocuated with the MC(Yuji/Goku), but technically a lot of charactet fan use it, including the villains(Mahito/Cell/Buu.)
Yuta's black flash is by far the coldest. The guitar rock for the charge up, the sheer power of the impact, the rage of Yuta, and the rock music makes it the best ever.
Black Flash is basically just: If your strong enough, you get access to a random crit attack that can chain into another, stronger crit, snowballing into something that can erase cities
I love black flash because its literally critical hits from video games. There is no secret to them, no mastery, anyone can pull one randomly and I hope they keep it as it is.
@@wlockuz4467 game and show are very diff shit, you cant compare them. how would absolute random flashes even work? save the mc 2 times and get boring ever after. having it as an universal option is way better. not saying everybody should be able to do it at will.
