Miss World 1963, Carol Crawford was a light-skinned black woman and the first black Miss World. She was on the front cover of Jet Magazine on November 28, 1963 on pages 60, 61, and 62.

Cindy Breakspeare is also considered mixed through her father's ancestry. Both Elizabeth Barrette Browning and her husband Robert Browning were also descended from Jamaicans with African DNA.

One thing common among them is they do not have beautiful faces unlike in Miss Universe black winners, like Angola, USA and the first Trinidad and Tobago.
