They're using the same tactic psychologically though. Both the "wrong strategies" and "look at you" parts are designed to frustrate and make the viewer want to try and do better.

@@unkarsthug4429 yeah but the difference between Dr. T and the shitty mobile game adverts is that Dr. T is a humorous character with charm, personality, and genuinely witty lines, while the other game adverts repeat the same stock phrases with blatantly annoying jabs at the viewer, without any substance to back them up
Many people have wondered, "What ever happened to Dr. T?" After the heroic people of boom beach repelled Dr. T's Mega Crab attack, He gave up his life of evil. Dr. T retired to an island in the Boom Beach archipelago. Dr. T now spends their days farming fresh melons, and drinking the fresh juice the melons produce. He no longer yearns to take over boom beach. No he's definitely not thinking of all the ways he could destroy the Boom Beach archipelago. He's not imagining once again riding the Mega Crab, this time to a glorious victory. He's certainly not plotting how he would defeat each and every Boom Beach players that attacked his precious Mega Crab, specifically, Zaffyhb, CityInTheSky, GavinSmallFish, KyiSunshine and cj0113, the players who did more damage to his Mega Crab than anyone. No, he's not doing that, he's simply farming these melons, these completely unevil, completely delicious melons. Definitely not holding a grudge and plotting your defeat right now. Nope, just farmin' melons. *next episode* You see that was an imposter! And I'm an imposter! *deflates*

Dr. T is one of those villains who is so memorable that he’s the only thing anyone remembers from his source material. Or even the one thing keeping their source from being completely forgotten.
I like how no matter how many times he fails, not once does he feel discouraged or any negativity at all. He just gets straight back to it. Truly an inspiration to us all. Stay Strong Dr. T. ❤
He does the opposite, instead of the average virgin villain who reveals more and more information per second they breath, Dr. T actually somehow gives so little information he actually starts taking your IQ before you even find out his plans or that he's evil, I mean he's just making melons.

8:05 this ad looks like a cutscene right before a final boss fight with Dr T, the dialogue and music are perfect for that, and also the confidence Dr T says that this mega crab WILL defeat you once and for all also makes it look more like a cutscene before the true final fight

You kidding me, clearly Dr. T has personally declared WAR on these players and is now personally heading over to their bases to destroy them, then is going personally out of the game to make their lives miserable, and if that wasn't enough he'll kill their moms and fuck their dads. (PS: maybe this is just me but I feel like Dr. T would be that type of person where if insulted long enough would take the statement "nice argument but I'm your house and fucked your mom" to a whole new level, and would probably find things like swatting cringe cause he's not personally going over to a streamer and raiding them himself.)

If there was ever a sequel to Boom Beach, here's what I imagine one of the ads would be So it begins with Dr. T, on his own tablet, watching those cheap mobile ads and says: "is this what has happened to companies when I stopped taking over!? Who wants to get to pink or compare stats in game!? I doubt these creators have brains!" He then turns off his tablet and turns around to look at a blueprint for a new super weapon designed from the pieces of the megacrabs he's created. We don't get to see what he's creating but Dr. T gives us a hint "This time, I've got EIGHT times the brainpower to make something bigger than my other creations!" Before taking the blueprints away. The idea of his new super weapon is basically referencing an octopus robot that would be revealed in a few updates
