Thank you for acknowledging that Desperate Measures pairs perfectly with the origin trait. When pairing with a volatile void build you can get your buff with a grenade and proceed to keep it up with volatility. Feels great on a Briarsbind Lock.
@@coinisinorbit It's great how well Briarsbinds let Child of the Old Gods play with weapon perks, especially void. Rarely do I hear people talk about it because of Well-lock popularity.
Master of arms nerf was so disappointing... Frenzy is just so much better overall. Ended up getting the edge transit god roll twice, but sadly none are shiny.
Master of arms should be 20% or better yet keep it as at 15% but have it where if you get a kill with other weapons it's 30% if it was special or 45% for heavy
It's weird because they were happy to talk about how they spent time retooling mountaintop and luna's unique stuff to still be powerful, but more balanced. For some reason recluse got left in the dust.
That's the next roll I was hoping for. I already have kinetic tremors/explosive payload and kinetic tremors/firefly. I think cross overlooked desperate measures on hung jury because all the other perks were more exciting or something.

Bungie has said they are looking at nerfing edge transit already. More specifically they said “while we don’t have a specific change currently planned yet, we wanted to give a heads up before anyone grinned too hard for this rare perk combo that is likely to be altered in the future.”
Just wanted to point out that forebearance can roll with demo and wellspring, when enhanced and on a light subclass it'll give 25% grenade damage per kill
About the Hung Jury rolls... Kinetic tremors+ OFA seems like the way to go. Kinetic Tremors helps to proc OFA and Kinetic Tremors gets a damage boost from OFA. They synergize perfectly. All you have to do is shoot at enemies.
Luna's Howl w/ Subsistence - Incandescent is a potential super fun roll for crazy ad clear and free auto reloads on scorch/ignition kills like avalanche but infinite reserves. :3
I'm looking for the Rampage/Killing Tally on Hammerhead. It's an incredible amount of damage buff that is not hard at all to proc. Machine guns are ammo efficient add clear, but Onslaught can easily lead to missed shots. Rampage/KT keeps the RPM *consistent* and lets you kill anything that dares look your direction.
Heehoo 60% damage increase go brrrrrrrrr. Seriously excited for this gun and especially this roll. With that amount of damage it’ll be hard for rampage’s timer to run out lmao. My Titan will be a force to be reckoned with in onslaught next week lol.
@@Kideem According to the big brains that give us the community insights on DIM, the double damage buffs are multiplicative, not additive. Meaning it more like a 73% increase.
You can test magnificent howl: just pull out the old roll. WIth brief testing, it can be stowed and things like holster mods/transversive steps also reload the mag without converting bullets, allowing you to get a full 10 round mag of magnificent howl bullets. Seems to be hard capped at the 10 round base mag as backup mag didn't allow for more magnificent howl bullets. Similarly, I tested out mountaintop in PVP with the old roll as it was also converted to the new frame and got rampage, and I think it's gonna be pretty dead. They specifically tuned it to "not one shot", which means it was further tuned from the base lightweights which can't guarantee a one-shot without spike nades. A direct impact with spike nades on Mountaintop does 75+83, while a direct spike nade-shot is 169+70 for lightweights.
It should be noted that Bungie said they "were monitoring" the Edge Transit combo and weren't announcing anything yet but it's probably some kind of nerf or limitation gets put into it.
Not hard to get that roll. Everyone chasing shiny version with those 2 perks plus cascade point even though they gonna try to fix it so you can't perk swap mid encounter.

I got a shiny one with quick launch, spike grenades, envious assassin, bait and switch. I also got another with envious and explosive light so Im gonna mess around between the two
Luna’s howl having the combination Incandescent and heal clip. Marks 2nd Solar Handcannon in the game to have. Igenious gets heal clip / incandescent combo. I’m happy with that honestly.
Not even gonna lie, the weapons are amazing, not entirely the best. But im only playing to get the super black shader because its leaving when the final shape drops 😭😭
@@elid5904nope, onslaught is staying, same with all the weapons. But the special variant glowing weapons, ornaments, and shaders corresponding to the event are leaving when the final shape drops. This info is coming right out of Bungie by the way. The hall of champions is also leaving. They might keep it because they said the same about 30th anniversary, but I'm not taking my chances. Even if it's them using fomo, it would suck to miss out on the shader. There are too many armor pieces that REFUSE to shade well and this shader forces it to pick a single color.
Btw cross destiny 2 team said not to grind the shiny version of edge too much ‘cause they r looking into the combo and are gonna do something about it..
Hung jury with kinetic tremors & explosive payload is so smooth. The gun has always felt a little light in the hands and sometimes feels like I’m shooting paintballs. But with these 2 perks, these paintballs now have earthquakes and dynamite with em and I enjoy it a lot. Highly recommend!
I am edging on recluse (repulsor and frenzy) Finally got it and put on titan void (warlock main) bcs good at activate volatile and good atbeing offensive
As a solo player speaking on behalf of other solo players, THANK YOU BUNGO. Succession, Forbearance, and Hammerhead (in place of Commemeration) are raid weapons us solo players with social anxiety/no friends have been wanting very badly for YEARS (since nothing really comes close to them (except for salvagers salvo to forbearance)). Big W for solo players like me.
@@SavvyMon4 yea you do. People always make this mistake thinking that. If there are a group of ads and you simply kill them to proc the destabilizing rounds and kill those volatile enemies you turn invisible which starts the chain and gives you volatile rounds coming out of it. That is of course combines with stylish executioner. It's great to have that perk because it lets you start the chain even if you are out of a dodge to go invis.

One of the few sets of weapons (at least so far) with next to no bad perks or combos. Every roll I get is like “ooooh I’ll keep that. Oooh that one too. Whaaaa it can roll THAT? Saved” lol. If I can give a suggestion for anyone who reads this tho, enlightened action and destab rounds on recluse for pve. I know a lot will want MoA or subsistence or the new perk, and those are all great, but enlightened is incredibly underrated and more helpful than you think. And since you’re spreading dmg around so much with destab, your handling and reload is so snappy and feels great. Then just spec out range our stability or whatever you want with your barrels and mags. I got this roll and immediately dismantled all the other pve rolls I had been saving. It’s great
Sorry cross but your sword damage teating was total crap. You need to be consistent with your stacks of banner of war and light vs heavy attacks. You had too many variables off that messed with thw results. I want to see another test done with no banner of war at all. Just well and light attacks only.
@@caveman2480 the stacks of banner of war only increase the frequency of the healing pulse, but all stacks give a base 40% increase to melee ability, 10% to swords, and 25% to glaives.
Hey Cross! I think Desperate Measures is going to be the go-to once we get Prismatic because at that point, we'll be able to get melee and grenade energy because we'll be using both light and dark abilities.
Best Kinetic Tremors scout is Randy’s Throwing Knife with Gutshot Straight. Has a faster activation than even enhanced KT Hung Jury. The damage on KT is buffed by Gutshot as well.
You gotta remember that these perks will be able to be enhanced in TFS so Master of arms could be buffed to 18% or back to 20%, so it’s still a good roll to search for.
Actually explosive payload one for all on the midnight coup is absolutely insane. You constantly got a 10 or 15% damage boost. Then you proc one for all. Now you got 35% on top of that and you don't need a kill to prock it. Now for single Target damage. Explosive kinetic is awesome
I'mma get that Blast Furnace with Polygonal Rifling, Steady Rounds, Zen Moment, and Rapid Hit, with a Stability Masterwork. I have an old, sunset Blast Furnace with almost this exact roll and that thing just feels like THE GUN for me. Update: bros are angry at me for wanting stability in PvE
Pretty sure golden tricorn also requires that you use a matching subclass with the weapon's element type (at least in order to get times 2). Desperate Measures can be used on any subclass and any weapon, combine that with the origin trait that additionally grants ability energy. Pretty versatile across the board!
I got a kinetic tremors/firefly roll on hung jury that I’ve been running on my warlock with chromatic fire. Layer weavers trance with strand on top for even more death effects. I’m not sure if it’s meta, but it *is* fun.
As much as I’m upset we’re getting Hung Jury back for a fourth time, there are some rolls I’m looking for. Kinetic tremors procs one for all, and one for all does affect the damage waves of kinetic tremors, so that’s really great. Also because of the weird bullet splitting that explosive payload does, you can combine it with rewind rounds and shoot forever without reloading as long as you keep hitting your shots
For the GL shiny eith field prep envious you can probably take the banner with FP and swap to envious and get better total damage in exchange for less dps for not having cascade point. Just a thought on an alternative option
For anyone curious. The true godroll for hung jury is one for all and kinetic tremors, kinetic tremors can proc multiple targets at once and the KT damage is buffed by OFA if you manage to proc on multiple targets.
I know people aren't excited about Hung Jury, but hear me out. Rewind Rounds + Firefly gives you a version of Hung Jury that feels like the classic Triple Tap + Firefly god roll from D1. I have one with Appended Mag and Backup Mag mod to get to 19 rounds. On Carl, I can get off 37 rounds of straight DPS per clip with RR. Feels so nostalgic and incredible!
Anyone gonna call cross out on explosive light damage? Grenade Launchers: 60% increased Explosive damage. Cross said 25% in the video. It's 60% on grenade launchers, 25% for Rockets.
I actually got a shiny succession with reconstruction, discord, redirection, and recombination, plus a tachtical mag and stability masterwork, and I gotta say cross, it very so so SO good. I normally hate snipers, but only 2 snipers I ever felt good using in PvE, supremacy with Kinetic tremors and rewind rounds, and now this succession with discord and redirection. you absolutely have to try it if you can, and cant wait for it to be enhanced.

You actually want Sticky nades with Full Court. Perk says damage buff is determined by distance shot travels but its actually on a timer. Sticky nades allows you to hit that timer with every shot no matter the distance
Enhanced overflow on mountaintop has my vote, it gives slightly over double the mag which should give 3 in the mag, perfect for chunking down healthier targets
Man, I’ve commented on this video to many times already, I’ll just say this, if your into build crafting and you already have a crafted forbearance, still grab the new one but aim to get demo and chain reaction. Demo in combination with the origin trait will make Forbearance nuts for grenade regen, combine that with devour and even with prism and Warlocks getting feed the void as a default. Also; whilst soul drinker in my opinion is a better origin trait, if you already have healing sorted out with devour or banner of war, then the ‘new’ forbearance is a good choice.
BTW Cross, kinetic tremors is buffed by damage perks. One for all and desperate measures does increase KT damage. Precision Instrument doesn't work cause it only buffs precision damage
Could is ask for a favor. Could you, in videos like this, make a "best, mid, still ok" roll that shows the icons of these three rolls for the weapon side by side, so we can grap a simple screenshot at store it for comparison. That would make is so much easier and also give people with less insight the chance to know what rolls might still be good, even if they are not great
So one note of a roll I am keeping is a hung jury with rewind rounds and explosive payload. I was using it and the hits from explosive payload count double for refunded ammo. I had over 100 shots before needing to reload.
I know I'm a bit late to this party - but I've been farming Elsie's Rifle all this time! Last night I got and extended barrel, ricochet rounds, keep away/zen moment, headseeker roll. Reload MW but I'm not doing another 300 rounds of onslaught in the hopes of a better MW haha
I have a feeling that the origin trait is going to give BOTH bonuses if you're running prismatic and that's why Bungie made it for these guns because they know these are some of the best weapons
I got a Hung Jury with firefly and kinetic tremors. It's EXCELLENT! It 2-4 taps guardians and does decent damage to yellow bars. Plus, the perks on it allow for decent ad-clear.
Cross I have 1 gripe with this video, and thats the fact that the desctiptions for the perks dont fit on screen, as a perfectionist and a small time youtuber, the thought of having such a little fuck up in the video would kill me, and its amplified even more so because i know you have editors you pay to make your videos
I think people are overlooking demo + wellspring on forbearance especially when it's combined with the origin trait to feed ability energy into our builds with prismatic coming in TFS.
I haven't seen anyone saying this. But with Desperate Measures, you do not have to get a weapon kill then an abilities kill to get to 2x. If you just get an ability kill, you immediately jump to 2x and can get kills to keep it up. Makes it really good to me.
I recall hearing for Mountaintop that Hard Launch + Implosion Rounds hits harder than Spike Grenade due to increased damage modifier for low blast radius... So that is something to keep in mind if you are going for Hard Launch + Implosion Rounds + Autoloading + Recombination + Any Masterwork that is not Blast Radius.
Cross if you were unaware you can test mag howl changes right now on the old versions, personally in an SBMM environment it seriously feels awful like the 122 to the head is awesome, but it really is hard to get it going just feels really bad. I'll more than likely just be going for a consistency roll and and a MH roll for CBMM modes
U can use the adi ball to heal the lure trap in onslaught. If shaks trap is red hit it with the adi ball and boom it's fully healed and u can still use the ball o heal the adi after.
I just got a shiny Recluse today with Subsistence/Dynamic Sway & Master of Arms/Desperate Measures with Ricochet Rounds and a Range Masterwork. As a mainly PvE player I just wish Dynamic Sway was Repulsor Brace, but I’m still happy with it

Desperate Measures & the Origin Trait is really impressive! A LOT of my Crafted Weapons have Demolitionist & I really abuse my Grenades! It still works great with my Renewal Revenant Build also, you just have to use Impact Induction & spam the Melee!
im chasing an enlightened action + master of arms roll just in case MOA gets a buff. Otherwise, I have a subsistence frenzy shiny for general play and a repulsor brace MOA for my gyrfalcon hunter
Cascade + Envious + Bait is so stupidly rare it might as well not exist. It has a 0.5% drop chance on the SHINY version of Edge Transit. So not only do you even have to just get the damn thing to drop you need to also need to hit a less than 1% drop rate on top of that. Plus Bungie said they're evaluating that perk combo and told us to expect changes in regards to that combo.

got a falling guillotine yesterday to drop with destab rounds/repulsor brace and chain reaction/sword logic. Have not used it yet but it looks like it could be pretty lethal in solo content
Man, everyone sleeping on what I'm thinking is the best PVE roll for Coup; firefly/one for all. Firefly, aoe damage on precision kill plus Outlaw levels of reload multiplier, and OFA, giving a 35% damage buff on dealing damage to 3 things. Precision kill, explosion hits 2 other ads, boom you have 10 seconds (11 enhanced) of a huge damage buff. Not refreshable but insanely easy to re-proc when it runs out. Seems super fun and super effective. Alternatively you could just do explosive/OFA, given that explosive is also a PVE damage buff.

I got a shiny Elsie’s rifle with hammer forged, ricochet rounds, zen moment/keep away third column and head seeker/desperate measures fourth column. God roll for sure
People look at numbers and say "i want the bigger because more!" without understanding the more important stat: Uptime. Master of Arms is the best damage perk imo because it has the best uptime. You'll get the most amount of damage out of that than any other perk. Yes, if you specifically play into you can get dmg out of it more, but it requires setup and time, time you're not using Master of Arms.
I have 3 rolls of hung jury with kinetic tremors + explosive parload, firefly, and PI and they are all fun but I was also hoping it would be a little stronger. Oh well hopefully they'll be better when they can be enhanced! Great video as usual thanks Cross!
I think recombination on mountaintop is gonna be good for just dealing with anything large, if you have good crowd control and ad clear in your build already I don't see any reason not just take recombination just for the sake of deleting anything with more than half a magazine worth of health on your primary
Every time I use my kinetic tremors/explosive payload HJ on Servitors or Skanks, each hit makes them gain altitude. I managed to get one Servitor to eventually get higher than the Fallen drop ships. Now I do it for fun.
Crazy how I got a shiny Recluse with smallbore, high caliber rounds, both repulsed brace and dinamic sway on column one and Master of arms with destabilizing rounds column two and range masterwork. Probably used up all my luck tbh.
I think getting just a few kills will give your grenade back when those are enhanced, so with the Demo reload you can just slay out. I'm going to try it.
I think with Luna's Howl slideshot would allow you to continuously build up that mag howl similar to how holsters work (I tried this with NF in Onslaught. I build up stacks with NF holstered it to refund the ammo. with Solar holster+LP. And got to 10 stacks.) Was roughly doing 7-9K+ depending on LP perk and precision dmg and debuffs
