@@thelibrarian7193 The traveler in Inazuma is speaking a lot more aggressive and denying in comparison to mondstadt. From a defensive fighter, the traveler is now completely on the offensive, what the character did keep is that the traveler only fights people when he needs to. And keep in mind, we are only 30-40% into the story.
Traveler in lore: *powerful respected hero that gets stronger by each region* Traveler in game: *selint husk that could have been so much more as an emotional protagenist to play as*
@@Waffle-dog They actually do, they have voice actors and everything with Paimon in them as well. I say this having listened to them and everything, so I dunno what to tell you if they aren’t playing. Go look it up then, since we’re on RU-vid and all. At this point, the only reason they’re “silent” is so that the player can pick different dialogue options, which tend to have personality in those as well. Blank slate silent protagonists exist, but at least Genshin’s “silent” protagonist does still talk in-universe and you’d be able to tell if you bothered to notice. The Traveler is respected for a reason, it’s not like characters are just reading their mind, *they are still speaking*. They’re hardly even self-insert sometimes, since the “name” we put in is just an alias, and the sibling will call the Traveler Aether/Lumine regardless, as seen in the quest with Dain. All we do is pick what they say out of the given options.
@@GamerJosh2611 Like they said “silent husk of a protagonist”. Any voice lines the traveler has are minor and would be forgetful if not for the fact their minor voice lines are always at iconic and important moments. The traveler shows as much emotion as a microwave. Their dialogue “which tends to have personality in them” is nothing more than a script attempting to give the blank slate of a MC depth and personality. And yes the MC is silent those “dialogue options don’t count towards the MC not being silent.
@@GamerJosh2611 those voice quips with the voice actors don’t count for actual in game dialogue. Those voice quips are menu exclusive, plus the traveler sounds emotionless in those.
Kaeya calling us partner made my heart so happy, Noelle talked like she was about to cry 🥺 and Diluc calling us friend, why they had to be so wholesome?!
And this people is why people, we likely will never have a truly antagonistic Playable character. They all have to appreciate and be the ally of the traveller.
Hopefully they don't use this as a reason to not give us more harbingers , would be SAS waste of potential, and also a bit of evil karma character would be alluring to have .
IMO Childe is truly antagonistic. He loves murder, he's a monster. I don't think you can classify a murderer/genocider (especially in a game like this) as an ally.
@@lisaop2782 tbh antagonistic means they are a threat to the mc's goal or is an obstacle, and murderers/genociders are not exactly antagonists' synonyms
Now that's what I wanted the devs to do that. We already have the hangout events but i would love to see them in the hangout after ascending their level 90 man
@@juniorchief5989 I mean,,It's up for debate if they've stuck around in other worlds long enough to get attached like this. Spoilers for anything past Liyue's archon quest btw I mean, in We Will be Reunited, they were ready to just up and abandon everyone, but. They're supposed to be older than stars, as stated in one of the glider descriptions, apologizes for not remembering the name of it- So, you'd think death wouldn't freak them out. Yet, after Signora died, they shut down. Whether this is due to Signora dying or the realization they couldn't defeat the shogun, it's not super clear. However, if it was them shutting down due to seeing the death of an actual human they knew, then that would make it obvious they hadn't gotten exactly attached to people before. The real question from there is, are they attached to the people of this world. As stated before, they just wanted to up and leave after Liyue's quest, which they had been in tevyat for months at that point. So, they seemingly didn't get too attached yet by that point of the story. However, it's been longer since then. Another few months at minimum. They probably could of been there for two years now? But I'm not sure if we should consider the stuff you can get in the mail as canonical to the timeline. ,, Basically what I'm trying to say is; whether they've gotten attached to people in other worlds in unclear. And, there is points for the traveler both being attached to the people of Tevyat, and points for them not.
I wonder if The Traveler is going to think back to their journey before having the chance to either leave Teyvat or stay. Thinking back to their companionships with the many characters in the game, while saving countless lives (again and again).
The sad part is. One day we will have to say good bye. I assume with lumine/aether by going to different worlds again. But maybe not that either. I worry what would happen to paimon when that day comes, but my point is, I feel that day will come, but for now, this is the closest to a ending in the entire game. And I would honestly accept that. A final message from everyone, a beautiful one at that.
It’s a debate really, cause the traveler is already attached to all of these characters they met! Also, I think Paimon would maybe be revealed to be a god or something, maybe she will take guard of everyone from Celestia or something
@@Crashbmaster0 Being realistic actually, on F2P the rate of farming Hero's Wit is too slow I too had the dream of making all the girls & male traveller level 90, problem is that there's also artifacts, talent books & weapons to build as well. Oh and BTW "弱さわ罪!" "Weakness is a sin!" - -Dio Brando- Kanzaki Yuichirou
That's what he is, a villain. I don't know of any hero that would feel triumphant when standing over the corpses of countless people, innocent and not alike
i dont know why im on the verge to cry???? they are fictional characters and i know it, it makes me feel weird butterflies in my stomache and i feel appreciated, it makes me thought of myself as a weirdo
Same here my friend I feel the same and it's almost almost make me cry and never stop playing the game almost but if they were a choice to stay and leave I will stay with them and be a happy family of course I only hope for it
Mona's part made me spin in my head. "In the reflection of the water, I see the ascenion of the morning star." This made me think of Lucifer since his name can mean 'morning star'. Why is this important? Paimon. In the Ars Goetia, Paimon is described to be the most loyal to Lucifer. Now, who is OUR Paimon most loyal to? The Twin Travelers, Aether/Lumine. Aether: The personification of the bright upper sky. (Possibly a link to world hopping and/or Celestia?) Lumine: To illuminate. (This is how I am linking the morning star connection better.) Could Lumine/Aether be based on Lucifer? (Lucifer is another name for Satan in many cultures, as we know, along with Beelzebub, who was Raiden Makoto.) In conclusion, Paimon might be more than meets the eye, as we all are suspecting. (Of course, this is just a theory, a game theory. Any information here was used during a solo-brainstorming session in the span of nearly 15 minutes at 11PM.) Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Sad for kokomi still doubting herself as a divine priestess of watatsumi. If it wasn't for the traveller maybe she may completely succumb to loneliness and self doubt.
Hooold on (crackhead theory) Mona says “in the reflection of the water I see the ascension of the morning star” in reference to the traveler. In demonology Lucifer is known as the morning star. Does this mean the traveler is the equivalent of Lucifer?
It's honestly a damned shame that it's via voice lines. The only actual acknowledgement I see for the Traveler is a few characters, Shenhe being introduced to the human world and saving us from a God, Kazhua saving us from the Raiden Shogun, Ayaka during her story event putting on a play of emotion for us, and Paimon of course. Characters like Venti are just there, Zhongli will probably forget and outlive us, Xiao protects everyone, Amber introduces us then we barely see her, Klee loves everyone, Yoymia loves everyone, Hu Tao wants a business, Yun Jin sings, Dainsleff is busy slaughtering, Barbara literally cancels your sorry quest if you piss her off even once, Albedo is focused on work; your just another volunteer, Mona is focused on the stars, barely see Sucrose, Jean is blandly acceptable to everyone, Kaeya is busy being shady, Raiden is a bit like Zhongli, Beidou is a Nijuuang simp, Kequing has no personality and is always busy, Xingqiu is busy with books barely around, Chongyun is a Shenhe simp, Tartaglia just loves fights; he was literally willing to kill you when you first fought, Sayu sleeps doesn't really pay attention, Qiqi; need a say more, Ganyu is like Kequing, Xinglang is barely seen and similar to Yoymia, Yae Miko teases everyone; similar to Raiden, Noelle is nice to all, Nijuuang is a bit above it; similar to Zhongli, Yelan is the same as Nijuuang, Itto is nice to everyone, Sara is a Raiden simp, Thoma is a Ganyu and Kequing, Ayato is a a bit of every serious person like Kokomi-Kequing-Ganyu-Zhongli-etc, Razor is bland so far; he barely speaks English. Need I go on? I apologize for the butching, and by no means do I hate any of the characters.
Why do these lines feel like a typical moment where the protagonist hears these thoughts which inspires him/her to either find joy in his/her life again or to sacrifice himself/herself for all his/her friends?
