I still can’t get over the fact that Furman literally did not miss in OT (5-5 from the floor and 1-1 from the line) and still lost. Truly an all-time classic of a game.
In my opinion, automatic qualifiers shouldn't have to play a play-in game. It should be for bubble teams like this year's Indiana, ND, Wyoming, etc. They already are at a massive disadvantage, let them play the best at full strength
Except for the fact both teams shot shitty shots for like 20 minutes straight. If Furman got the ball inside AT ALL they've won by 20. It felt terrible to watch from that perspective of both teams legitimately trolling offensively, but the ending was super exciting (again other than the time before it of both teams just whiffing 3 after 3)
Imagine winning your conference tournament only to be told after you can’t go to the NCAA tournament because you are in a D1 promotion phase and according to rules need 5 years or whatever to build a winning program but are already winners… I’m sorry Bellarmine you earned a ticket to the dance
just to get slapped in the first round? if anything a&m deserves it waaaay more than bellarmine. if they are NIT or CIT and win it then fair enough. if they’re so on about breaking off from the NCAA then why obey the rule? boycott the tournament. seems like a scared move to me
@@GoatedAtNFS a&m this, a&m there. Bellarmine deserve it. They won the tourney. I can't stand a major conference team that will be beaten in the 1st round
@@GoatedAtNFS lmao both teams would get slapped in the first round, A&M had there fair share of good games this year but neither of them deserve this spot.
@@ramuelcruzada3207 so you won’t stand like 5 teams then? it’s called the unknown playing field of march. been like this for years. and if bellarmine can’t repeat conference championships in the next 5 years the rule will still be undisputed
Being at the MAAC Championship and seeing that St. Peter's team begin their magical run, you could feel the energy then. What a team, what a run. Go Peacocks
10:00 And what a historic run St Peter's had. First 15-seed to make it all the way to the Elite 8, AND beat Kentucky in the first round. Too bad their Cinderella run was cut short by North Carolina.
Thanks for this! Good cuts! I really enjoy the one-and-done small conferences, where you see the total joy of the winners and the total sadness of the runners-up who may be going to the NIT, but not much else.
As someone who lives next to the University of Delawares campus I can say they r partying hard, but it’s gonna be a difficult first game against, in most sports, the rival Villanova
Great seeing my school winning the Missouri Valley Conference championship! We couldn't even win the Horizon League championship when we were in that conference since 1985.

Wait.. How were Abilene Christian and NM State tied with the same conference record, but one was the first seed and one was the sixth?? How is that even possible?
Saint Peter's just sort of scraped by. Can't see them going anywhere in the Tournament. Duke, too. They were crushed. Loyola, though, boy, they're ready to roll over everyone.
I understand why the 5 year transition rule is in play for teams moving up to D1 but conferences need to not let them play in the conference tournament because a situation like what happened with Bellarmine could come up.
Why though? I can understand if you're moving down in terms of divisional competition but if you're still good enough after moving up to qualify for a postseason I don't understand how you can punish a school for that.
I mean i support a no.1 team in a small division to win the tournament to gice justice to their record. It will be unfair not go to NCAA tournament when ur not no.1 and then suddenly those team with 10 loses will qualify. Chatangoo buzzer beater gives justice with their winning record although I symphatize for Furman coz they are already celebrating and that would have been a story for them.
I go to Jacksonville state and I was so happy when Bellarmine won and if u didn’t know if bellarmine won Jacksonville state would go to the dance because that was Bellarmines first year
