Dr. Karl vividly reminds me of Dr. Wiley and when his robot pulls out an emerald it reminds me of a Chaos Emerald. When he said PTSD, the first thing that came to mind was probably the worst Sonic boss ever, Red Eye. If you’ve ever beaten Sonic 3’s Death Egg Act 1 with no SuperSonic, you’d know the pain I’m referencing to.

If you think about it, we are all like the bosses because. None of them are actually bad guys, they were all just fighting to defend their souls from the devil. Doing every single thing they could to not be enslaved forever. They all just made a mistake when coming across the path of a fateful dare and took the risk even though it was a crazy risk. We make mistakes like that even knowing sometimes how bad it could turn out in the long run. If this game has a lesson, I’d think it would be to not get to sucked into gambling. For it could ruin your life without realization.

That was the most bizarrely nightmare inducing thing I've seen in a while at 3 a.m. The voices, the black screen with a lone noise filled images of the bosses faces is all just so fever dream-ish.
