Interesting choices and sure to create some discussion. I love that 2008 Sauber but for me it's a BMW, so not eligible. I'd probably go with the 2001 Sauber with a shout out for the 1994 car too. Alpine for me its the 2020 yellow/black Renault and Ferrari its 1990. As for McLaren its the West livery on the MP4-17 of 2003
The best Red Bull livery in my opinion is the 2018 shakedown livery. The digital camo looks amazing! Although not sure if this counts or not as it never raced.
Broke your own rules with Sauber. As BMW they were owned by BMW, they were a different team. If you're not including Brawn with Merc, then BMW shouldn't be with Sauber. They kept the name sauber on for historical reasons, but they were BMW, not a partnership, wholly own. This also bars Lotus, as they weren't Renault/Alpine.
Agree. As much as I love that 2008 car, it's a BMW not a Sauber. As for Renault, you could include the 2011 Lotus Renault GP as that was a branding exercise under Renault but the 2012-2015 cars weren't Renault entries so not eligible.
my picks: Haas - To me, this team's signature look is when they use that bone color that's not quite white, not quite grey, so 2016, 2018 and 2020. The 2020 car is probably the cleanest-looking of the 3. Sauber - So many to choose from. I agree on the F1.08 being the sexiest of the BMW Saubers down to the shape of the car itself and the fact it's a winner. The 1995 car is cool because it's basically a retro Red Bull livery from a decade prior to RBR entering as a team. The 2019 Alfa Romeo looked so right with the addition of the Shell logos that really hammered-home the classy, nautical vibe that I was already getting from the previous year's livery, and the 2020 Valentine's Day livery with the snakeskin pattern and the hearts easily outshines all of Red Bull's preseason camo liveries from the same period, at least for me. STR/AT/VCARB - 2008 painted bull I guess. I really liked the 2021 AT, but I'm hesitant to put it ahead of the brilliant blue cars from the last few years before the AlphaTauri rebrand. Toro Rosso as a whole brand was just more visually spectacular than AlphaTauri. Williams - 2000 BMW livery. I think I saw that one in a museum alongside one of the V12 LMRs when I was a small child, and I'm sure that factored into why I still love those two as an adult. The red Williams from the year before is right up there as well. I prefer the '99 version to the '98 version. Renault/Alpine - They didn't miss on a single livery from the time they took over from Benetton in 2002 well into the Lotus years. Enstone's liveries since Renault returned in 2016 haven't been nearly as good. The 2010 Renault and the unraced 30th anniversary show car from a few years prior that it took some of the retro cues from are probably still my favorites. Stroll - 2023 Aston Martin as it appeared at launch, w/o the distracting Valvoline logos McLaren - It's hard for me to choose between Marlboro, West, and Vodafone, so I'll just go with my recency bias and say 2019. That's easily my favorite recent McLaren. Ferrari - That 2013 livery was a good shout, because it made that car look fantastic despite still having some awkward proportions. I quite liked last year's car too. There are a bunch of recent Ferraris to choose from, but 1997 feels like peak Ferrari to me. It was beginning to look like a Schumacher-era car, but it was also the last year for classic Ferrari traits like gold wheels and yellow markings on the second car to tell them apart. Truly a unique and transitional car in the Scuderia's history. Mercedes - 2019 or 2010 Red Bull - 2013
Sonic the hedgehog on the Williams is just so great. One of my favourite liveries. I would like to see a list of the best special/ one off liveries too, there's been some great ones in the last few years.
Hey man, good work on the channel recently. I'm becoming quite the regular to you material. And you, sir. I like your style. Jovial, warm, witty, not overly excited or energetic, well read, informative, engaging. My only gripe is that I would like the videos to last a touch longer. Just to help fill out each video. You're more than capable. You're on a good thing, man. Long may it continue and keep you on an upward trajectory. All the best for channel, mate. I for one will be paying alot more attention. 👍🏼 And in my opinion, the 92/93 Canon Williams Renault could possibly be (A) The best livery ever. (B) Have the most attractive silhouette of an F1 car ever. Fin.

i feel like people love the marlboro mclaren livery cause a senna and prost and b its was so dominant. when you isolate it just looking at the livery theres nothing special but maybe it adds to the appeal too its clean and simple solid lines on a fairly boxy car but then again i think the chrome mclaren is more interesting of a livery. but i still prefer the marlboro. so this comment is basically pointless. lul
