Thank you for putting your list all in one place. I really enjoy listening to your thoughts on the DC animated movies, even if I occasionally disagree with you. I do recommend that you watch the Lego DC movies you might be surprised with how good some of them are. Yes they are made for a younger audience but most of them are still pretty funny and still have descent written stories. Honestly, I think the Lego DC movies make for a solid way to introduce little kids to the DC comics characters. My favorite Lego DC movies are Lego Justice League: Cosmic Clash, Lego The Flash, Lego Batman: Family Maters, and Lego Justice League: Attack of the Legion of Doom.
Lego cosmic clash. That movie has a special place in my hears. All 3 of my kids growing up watched it sooo many time's growing up that I know it word for word. Inflections and all.
My top 10: 10. *Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo* 9. *Batman: Hush* 8. *Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay* 7. *Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox* 6. *Batman: The Long Halloween* 5. *Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker* 4. *Batman: The Dark Knight Returns* 3. *Batman: Gotham by Gaslight* 2. *Batman: Under the Red Hood* 1. *Batman: Mask of the Phantasm* I know most of these are Batman movies, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit I think his movies are just plainly better than all the other stuff DC makes.
Video idea Rank the fights. Not every street thug but the bigger fights from these movies like Doomsday vs Superman, Batman vs Clayface, Wonder Woman vs Etrigan, Aquaman vs Orm, and so on
Batman: Year One Batman: The Long Halloween Catwoman: When In Rome Batman: Dark Victory Robin: Year One Batgirl: Year One Batman: Three Jokers Batman: Arkham Unhinged Batman: Bloodstorm
Batman Gotham Knight was awesome, why is it so low? I don’t recall any advertising that it would be related to the Nolan films, from what I remember it just heavily advertised the fact that it had some of the same creative team behind it. It is a bit manipulative but based on the trailer it doesn’t lead you to believe that just bc it’s some of the same people it’s set in the same universe or something.
My top 10 10 reign of the supermen 9 fata five 8 the constantine movie 7 death of superman 6 tmnt batman 5 long hallowen 6 long hallowen pt 2 3 injustice 2 apokolioks war 1 under the red hood
My Top 10 DCAU Movies 10. Wonder Woman 9. Crisis on two earths 8. Death of Superman 7. Batman vs Robin 6. Assault on Arkham 5. Under the Red Hood 4. Justice Leauge War 3. Batman Superman: Public Enemies 2. Justice Leauge: Doom 1. Flashpoint
Dude I love Gotham knight but I have a lot of nostalgia for it because I had it on dvd for my dvd player (Also I love how Batman is basically the entire top 5 except for flash which has Batman as the secondary main character)
21:27 I was so disappointed that they took away, her chemical, bleach skin and red and blue hair. They should’ve kept those. I’ve been wanting to see her with the chemical skin and red and blue hair in this universe since flashpoint.
Only 2 minutes in but oh my god i agree so much with your bottom pick. It was like BTAS animation with 60s Batman humour. The fart joke, the 2 full length musical numbers back to back, the cringey credit scene, and dont even get me started on THAT Nightwing and Harley scene 😐
4:06 I’m still glad of the show, got a movie, honestly season one should’ve adapted the comics through faithfully with Grant Wilson, and they could’ve had the red X and apprentice thing happen in the movie after the show.
I bought Under the red hood In the belief that the short DC Showcase: Jonah Hex was included but it wasn't This animated short is what the live action movie should've been as is far superior to it in every possible way.
Justice League War is the only DCAU movie I've rewatched, specifically because I love the Darkseid fight. Welp, just different tastes, or maybe when I watch more Superman Animated Series or if I watch JLU, they'll have much better Darkseid fights.
So if I may interpret correctly, you love all the stuff “done right” based on previous cartoons but not the comics and you appear to have a bias towards characters that are either new to the DCAU or Superman. Stunning lack of substance and lot of your picks are wack.
@@alphawolf926 awesome, watching this tonight, thanks! I type in DC, Batman, Superman, or Justice League and almost every DC animated movie comes up, except this movie. I typed in Wonder Woman and it came right up🤦♂️
@KERMIT GOT THE SICK KICKS Oh yeah, I thought it was good, especially for being a standalone WW movie, no cameos from other heroes. You can focus on her story and get invested in her world. Here's hoping HBO will stop pulling animated DC stuff from their service.
This is the hottest take ever, I don’t like Under The Red Hood. I thought it was obvious who The Red Hood was, I thought the Lazarus Pit thing was weird (probably because I don’t like Ras Al Gul), I don’t see what people love about it. BUT. I reall fucking love the interaction between Jason and Bruce in the climax, that’s some of the best writing in any Batman film.
It wasn‘t false advertising. The movie people opted out last second is all. And you really should rewatch gotham knight. Maybe u can appreciate it a bit more with a more adult perspective now. Or someday. Love that film Edit: The fucking fact u put killing joke above it. Mate. Please
Very unpopular opinion I think I'm alone in this but I f****** hate mask of the Phantasm I watched it as a kid when it first came out maybe I need to revisit it as an adult
You should rewatch it. It features a lot of themes that problem don't connect as strongly to a younger audience. I personally think it's brilliant. I think it gave us a story with a deeper look at Bruce Wayne than any live action movie has done. It also features a good mystery filled with great action. Also it's very smart to have Joker be a secondary villain in the movie rather than take center stage. It makes his moments all the better.
