@@Tbot_2dont know what ya'll are talkih about but it was explicitly shown that Moss got killed by the Cartel. Courtesy of his wife bringing her mom along, leading to her telling their driver, leading to the driver telling a random stranger about it, who happened to be part of the cartel. Bro did everything right, and still ended up dying from luck and circumstance. Things happened to align to kill him dead.
You must not know what Gory means. Gore means blood that has been shed. Strangulation is not gory at all, getting shot in the head which is further down is actually gory so this is wrong!!!
This doesn't count all the deaths in the movie and you've missed on some of them. The hotel reception, the woman by the pool and the dead people at the drug deal aftermath.
@@soundmind2321 He didn't know who that guy was, but assumed he was a (plain-clothed) policeman because of what happened right before. He probably didn't know what that thing held by that policeman was either (a captive bolt pistol) and that it was a potential source of danger. Poor guy got killed, before that he had enough time to realize what's going on or to question the authority/intentions of the supposed policeman. I think most people would be as confused and dumbfounded and get killed before they could react, just like him. THAT is what makes the scene so scary and disturbing. Could have happened to almost any random person, the same way.
@@dondon1617 The difference between this guy and the others (like Mike Myers and the Ts) is this guy actually engages with you. He talks to his victims, even smiles at them. That's what sets him apart. Chigurh was a walking Masterclass in psychopathy. The ice in his veins is colder than ice.
0:07 how did that not hurt Anton more than the cop? When he did that he would've gotten winded, his strength would've reduced, and the man would've had a second to get free from the shock Anton felt when falling causing him to slip up for a second.
You forgot the thirsty Mexican, the Eagle Pass Hotel desk clerk, the El Paso Hotel pool lady, and Carla Jean at her mother’s house… Otherwise, great video👍
@@kyokokirigiri100 Tom goes back to motel and sits on the bed where underneath killer is hiding The rest deals with toms dreams about his dead father and such “the country(death)” for old men. Saw it explained in an interview. Tom is killed in the motel The killer never let’s one get away 🎩
@@TheGrum Anton didn't wrap his legs around the cop's body the police officer just had to scoot sideways to get his back onto the floor and then there would be no choke
Yeah I do BJJ myself and that was bad. Honestly even an untrained person could have gotten out of that. It's like the cop didn't even try to use his hands.
To be fair, get attacked by surprise, one second you're chilling and the other second you're on the ground with some extremely strong guy choking you on the ground, doubt much people would even register what's happening before it was too late
Cena and The Rock need to take notes. Sometimes, glory isn’t always in the victory that’s at face value. It’s in the quality of the match and how you make the other guy look good as well. And as the older, more tenured generation, you owe it to pass the torch or give back to those that made you the way you were given the chance.
1:10 bro you just heard gunshots and even opened the door first before moving out but you STILL walked out without your weapon ready... come on dude you could've easily won
Great movie. Most people love that Chigurh is as textbook as a psycopath as you could get, but I'd argue the better part of the movie (and book by extension) is how the whole theme of 'fatalism' is destroyed by any of the main characters just being sort of intelligent. If Moss checks the suitcase once, he'd probably have found the tracker. If he never went back to give the guy the water, he never gets identified. His greed gets the better of him every time. Sherriff Bell is so busy trying to right his past wrongs that his law enforcement is laughably incompetent. Even Chigurh has moments where the whole 'psycho killer' doesn't match with his actions; why do the Two-Face coin flip when you start the movie off with two bodies and they didn't get a chance? Why drop the facade when one gal questions it and it throws you off so hard you vaporize her anyways, not to mention the absurd hilarity of having philosophical conversations before game ending people, or just the idea someone wouldn't call in a dude with a super bowlcut wanted for something prior to the start of the story, and running around with an actual hole puncher. It's just a comedy of errors when you step back not unlike Fargo, just far less overt, and darker considering the villain wins. Coen bros really don't miss.
First could easily could have gotten out of that. Like so fucking easily, and he would have been on top of the guy. Use feet to push your legs up and flip yourself over. Like a backwards somersault with the back of your head pinned to your assailant's chest. Now you're on your feet, the chain is on the wrong side of your neck and drops off, and your assailant is on the floor on his back
0:20 dude what is this cop doing? Stop moving, plant your feet in the ground and push BACK so he loses his leverage on you. That particular hold would be SO easy to get out of it's not even funny, how does a cop not know that?
@@cappuccino-1721 i don't think you would. its easy when watching "every death in no country for old men" to know anton means the guy harm, but irl the overwhelming majority of people do not mean you harm. there is no reason to assume any rando you're talking to is about to kill you. you don't know what the object is, and it is a huge leap to immediately assume its a lethal weapon. just think about the generalities of this, not just this specific scene. think, in general, about a stranger holding an object you can't identify close to your face. i don't think you are going to immediately assume you are going to die. you'd be weirded out, sure, but not in fear of your life.
@@endaburns2121I’m sorry, no. Most people aren’t going to just stand there while someone puts a cattle stunner up to their forehead. You have to be incredibly stupid to assume something like that wouldn’t cause you harm. Most people are not that stupid.
