Definitely hard to try and find every single one and some are harder to find due to search terms, but in general trying to make a list of all of them by memory and searching is tough even while using all the comments from the last video so hopefully you still enjoyed and please leave a like and subscribe if you did! So far these are the ones I missed: Snubbull Ninetales' Owner Mallow's Mom What's funny is I did have a section for people who were deceased but were only mentioned and I'm not sure how Mallow's Mom got mixed into there: gyazo.com/a56b8d2bdd47b52d4c953710c9b0c071
People really do be brushing off the death of Sorrel's Luxray tho. We see its dead, frozen body with a peaceful look on its face, seemingly knowing it would die, still willing to do anything to protect its friend. That really struck a cord with me.
Those original deaths were really dark. Edit: also, ash jumping into the attacks is the stupidest thing he could have done. Maybe it would make more sense if I saw the movie but from what I know, that is the dumbest thing he could have done.
what do you mean the time where ash gets turned to stone like he does later on or the time his soul gets sucked out and later returns? I think some of the later deaths are more tragic (The old dog Pokemon)
It makes the "I Choose You!" movie look like the actual end of Pokemon's first season since Ash got revived by that Ho-oh he witnessed in the very first episode (also titled "I Choose You!") at the end of said episode. It also makes Mewtwo Strikes Back look like a red herring movie.
Do the ones in Jirachi Wish Maker really count? There’s a scene where we see everyone inside just floating around. It was more like they were captured than killed
Yeah and I am pretty sure someyhing sinilar happens in the Tree of Life in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew but I might be remembering it wrong because its been a while.
Honestly, the most shocking for me was Hunter J. It came totally out of the blue, just BOOM Future Sight and she crashes into the water. Then her airship crashes into the water and the windows break and it floods the ship and explodes. I was STUNNED, but I loved it! Diamond and Pearl is the greatest season!!
Same but there is actually a _Slight_ chance she survived by... An interesting method. She did specialize preserving her bounties after all. Also she somehow had tech that predicted teleport somehow so...
@@pichuperez9037 please let it be so. I want her to return in Journeys. Like have Goh see a Salamence flying around and, naturally, try catching it only to p!$$ it off. But once it sees Ash and Pikachu, it flies off to who knows where. Then the next time they see it, Goh once again tries catching it, but Ash gets him to hold off when he notices someone riding it only to be horrified when it's revealed to be J. She could even have an updated appearance with longer hair (she'd look good with it, don't deny it😳), a new visor since she lost the old one, and an even more dangerous version of her old arm cannon since the old one probably got waterlogged. Her new arm cannon could even have less charge time thus allowing for rapid fire. On top of that, only she could change her targets back to normal with a press of a button on her arm cannon and gives out a control device that does the same for her clients. Therefore, if any of Ash's, Goh's, or Chloe's Pokémon are captured by her, they would either have to get their hands on a remote or risk their lives by stealing her arm cannon. And this time, she could even get a little physical and try beating Ash into the ground herself.
@@Nighlocktheawesome00 Uh while the beating up of Ash seems a bit out of character, the other stuff would be cool. Wouldn't be surprised if like Goh's Voltorb, Chloe's Eevee, or literally most of Ash's journeys team was captured. Or actually now that i think about it maybe another Ultra Beast during like, a new ultra recon squad mission, and Ash's Melmetal in the process.
@@pichuperez9037 I'd say J beating Ash to within an inch of his life is very much within character for her. She has tried killing more than once, and if her Pokémon failed to do it, she would most likely try to do it herself. Hell, we could even get a battle between her and Cynthia like we should've had all those years ago.
@@Nighlocktheawesome00 yeah but i mean she's the calm, collected, not insane bad guy. While yes she is terrible and has attacked him before, that was just because he literally invaded her ship and tried to stop the deal. Her only qualm with Ash is that he occasionally hinders her, but even then it barely fazes her, heck in her debut episode just before she gets away and drops Ash and some of her crew in the hangar she says "guess i have to find a new Absol and Gardevoir", and as far as I'm aware Ash has only successfully stopped her completely _ONCE_ in the Shieldon episode. And while, yes she has no qualms in people dying in the process of her bounty hunting, i feel as if she wouldn't attempt a personal physical assault unless it's literally the *ONLY* possible option she has.
Part of me always hoped J would come back someday. Like god damn so few appearances but who else has actually tried to legit kill Ash or force him into a situation where he himself has to harm a Pokemon?
She's part of the reason why the d&p seasons were one of the best in my book. I don't understand how there's many people that said d&p was one of the worst when it comes to Anime
@@driley1988 she was honestly super wasted. She was a really cool character, but the pokemon anime does what it always did, it pussied out when making her or Cyrus. They were far too afraid to write a sympathetic villain, or even make them more charismatic. So Cyrus was just plain awful in the anime, a complete 180 to what he should have been. And J was just the most wasted villain of all time who got the shaft because she will never appear in any superior media of pokemon.
@@irondragondxd3836 I agree about Cyrus I felt like they could've done a little more with him he looks like he could be a sympathetic villain. Ass for as J I feel like they really wanted to make a villain that you could actually take seriously. Most villains in pokemon were jokes, and I think that's why J was loved. She wasn't a pushover like most villains in the Anime and she just didn't give a damn. Tried to kill ash multiple times, the woman was out for blood. The moment when she and her crew drowned and blown up in her ship you knew that they were killed. It was pretty cool but like you said she was kind of wasted, it would've been nice to see more of her.
Fun fact: the Lake Guardians currently has the highest kill count onscreen after they killed Hunter J with her crew and the Pokemon she captured + her team.
9:13 What’s worse about the Talonflsme is because it was flying when it was Medusa’d. So there would be a high chance that when the Talonflame crash-landed, it shattered into bits
I've found at least one fanfiction story where the Cyrus case serves as the instigator of Ash going back to the beginning of his journey to prevent him from doing so again, and i'm not referring to the Infinite Loops Project even though Saphroneth (the author behind the biggest case i'm familiar with, titled 'Ashes of the Past') is involved in it
The deaths weren't all that explicit or scary. The only one that could be considered explicit was Hunter I'd death in Diamond and pearl. But again, she wasn't shown dead, but only the explosion was shown. This doesn't prove to be very unhealthy for a kids show.
I just came here to say that Cyrus didn't die. That portal took Cyrus through space and time to another dimension where Sinnoh doesn't exist (yet). I am sure he will be featured in Pokemon Legends: Arceus in some way or form.
5 y/o me when the only anime I watched and allowed to is Pokemon, *Damn it's so sad, how can a character must die like that?* Me currently who already watched many anime including that one genocide anime (AoT): *hell yeah i wonder what happens if this one character dies*
I am so Happy you remembered the Mastermind speical I was expecting that to be ignored I always liked that special. Also wow 100! Although not show I'd count the Chespin one. Also did the fake Groundon kill them? I never thought it did I thought it just sucked them into it's body but they were still alive
Counting every death in Pokemon is a tall task so I'm not surprised there's some missing, especially if you're counting ghosts too pff There is at least one Ash death missing, the one where he drowns in the Pokemon Ranger movie before getting some life back through May and Manaphy
I want to talk about the thousand something non-water pokemon that probably drowned in pokemon 2000 because they were standing on the ice when the ocean thawed. The movie only shows the water pokemon and flying pokemon leaving safely in the ending scene.
5:53 That’s Little_Z/Beefy_Smash_Doods level of meme. Also, wouldn’t it cool if these movies (and maybe even old anime episodes) were remade (likely unofficially) in the Alola or Journeys art styles?
Ash died in the Sea Temple movie after a Heart swap with May by Manaphy while May saves the Sea Temple while in Ash's body when Ash dies in May's body who somehow got bright back to life afterward and getting heart swapped back by Manaphy behind the scenes without us knowing it
You missed a few, Snubbul in the Lugia movie, the old man with the ghastly, Haunter, and Gengar in Pokemon Xy/Xyz, and the death of the Snubbul in Pokemon The Power of us. Otherwise you did amazing! It's kinda creepy to think one of the more child friendly animes had so many deaths. Revived or not there is still way more deaths in Pokemon than certain animes you'd expect more deaths in. Creepy in a cool way of course. I love your channel and your amazing content! Thank you for all the effort and research you put into your videos! ^^
How many times is ash brought back? Like, “oh, we should kill the main character” and then the director sees the episode and is like “no. No that doesn’t count”
Okay, so Cyrus and Lysander definitely didn't deserve that. Even though they were 'bad' people. Like, they must have had pretty good reasons to think the way they did. I'd think that Cyrus propably lost someone important to him in his life, and that's why he doesn't want feelings to exist. Just my thoughts though...
For me the most unexpected and most hitting death was of Hunter J. But she could have used Salemence and got away... oh well lol. Btw, the guy from the Pokemon app, looked like her.
I think it should be noted that I Choose You was in a different canon than the main anime, technically meaning those death don't count for the main timeline
Seriously from season 1 until battle frontier season I was positive ash was getting older and was 13_14 by battle frontier as his and Brock's voice was getting deeper he seemed to be getting starter and taller, then I found out he was still ten... I was so disappointed lol
Pokemon I choose you was the one the hit me the hardest especially sorrels luxray that peaceful look on its face. Underrated death. Tho Latios death kind of got me but not as much as I choose you
