@@spectralknightgaming8364 oh yeah that's right! I haven't watched The Simpsons in awhile but I do remember the one episode where Homer has an imaginary friend and they're shooting nails and staples at each other and because he's not real he ends up shooting the Flanders who's just sitting there watering his bushes.
That fact that you said “Timmys dad” reminded me of the fact that he literally has no name and everyone even the president would announce him as “Mr Timmy Turners Dad” without knowing if he had a son or not.
Daran Norris had the most flawless execution of the voice of Timmy’s Dad. Each line of his was spoken with a theatrical melody, bringing an edge-of-your-seat drama voice to normal mundane suburban problems with your neighbor. The suspense at the start of each sentence, only to end with a punchline is super relaxing. He did a phenomenal job.
I remember being in history class and when the teacher asked what caused world war 1 someone in the class whispered “dinkleberg” and everybody laughed.
For those unaware, Timmy's dad offerred Dinkleberg to shake his wife's hand during the gardening episode, where it turns out "everything she touches dies" *Dad was out for blood.*
Fun Fact: the name "Dinkleberg" is based on the acronym D.I.N.K., which stands for "Double Income No Kids," which is why they're usually portrayed as so much wealthier and happier than the Turners.
Also explains Mr. and Mrs. Dink from Disney's Doug. The wealthy elder couple without kids. Mr. Dink tends to buy items that are "very expensive" with his extra disposable income.
Not really, he revealed in the episode where he’s a “villain” that he was doing everything just so that Timmy’s Dad could believe that he’s a villain to satisfy that narrative. He really is the Ned Flanders of this show.
I feel like it's the opposite. At first, he seemed to purposefully rub his success in Timmy's Dad's face more until way later when he is shown to be way more caring and just wants Timmy's Dad to hate him if it makes him happier.
@@jaredmccain7518 a lot of the clips are from the season with sparky and the last few are from the one with chloe also sparky was just fine to me chloe was the one who really screwed the show
That and like diaoond mentions, in the episode the secret origin of denzel crocker, it's revealed that dinkleburg was with Mrs.Turner and eventually dumped her while at one of crockers big huge meeting gatherings.
"Thanks for putting me in your movie, Turner! It was worth losing all the possessions that connected me to the meaningful moments of my life and made me feel whole!"
It’s funny how early portrayal somewhat justified Timmy’s Dad’s Envy, Anger, and Hatred for Dinkleberg and then later in the show, it turns Dinkleberg into mr too perfect.🤣😂
@@viniciusgmachado1204 I was thinking about it just seconds before I saw your comment. I was thinking about how Mr.Turner looks like a tube with arms, legs and a face with balls for a chin.😅
I love how the last line Dinkleberg has is… “It gives my life purpose” Gives us a lot of lore, meaning Dinkleberg also enjoys having fun with Timmy’s dad
@A guy with an anime Profile Pic Because I can if Timmy's Dad still hates Dinkleberg when that happened, you're thinking of a different universe than I am
@A guy with an anime Profile Pic Because I can I mean, with the acception of Family competitions, I don't really see Timmy's Mom hating either of them. Just more of a "I'm doing this cause my husband is"
@@lucassupports3234 yes in a world where fairies exist to grant nearly every wish of a child. How dare they make something so extreme happen and not have any issue with it. /s It’s a cartoon that isn’t to be taken too seriously.
This is not about being not grown up. If this is childhood, every moment is funny or nostalgia and also If people hate the jokes, they have no Humor because this is just to good 😂👍
26:59 The fastest clip of the titanic sinking. What was hours after the titanic hit the dinkleberg- iceberg, to sink was portrayed in seconds. Amazing.
I thought from the title that this would be a deep dive into the character of Dinkleberg, how he was used in the early show, and how he developed over time. About a minute in, I realized that I wasn't just watching a few introductory clips as a cold open to the video. 10/10, did not regret watching the whole thing.
It isnt in the video, but timmys dad was always jealous of the guy since kids because dinkleberg and timmys mom were a thing! But dink was always an ass until the 180 on later seasons... he coldly ditched her ex timmys mom during the crocker episode.
Like lucson mentions, Mr.Turner actually partially does have a bit of a reason to hate him, in the secret origin of Denzel crocker (I think), you see dinkleburg and Timmy's Mom together when they were kids, and then we see dinkleburg dump her in college when Crocker was looked at as crazy and the military gave him (Dinkleburg) a check for huge amounts of money.
Sometimes i just find myself grumbling "Dinkleberg" in times of woe, inadequacy and even spontaneously for nostalgia and shits and giggles. Then i found this video. 10/10 much needed😂
1:31 For context, Throughout the Episode, Mrs Turner cries after stating everything she touches dies, and the prise plant she won instantly dies when it was handed to her, Causing Mr Turner, the Judge, and Dinkleberg to each take a step back from her as she sobs, then Mr Turner states this line.
“Did she give you this bazooka” “Which I can’t fire at the Dinckleberg’s house because it’s out of ammo” I love how this implies that he didn’t even hesitate to try and blow up their house. He just saw the bazooka and immediately aimed and tried to fire. Like the whole time his wife is lecturing their son he’s just over their pressing the trigger over and over again trying to get it to work before realizing it’s empty.
@@sprtsfanatic1 Absolutely! That women deserves an award for that! And a raise! *gives her an award and bag full of money* At least Dinkleberg didnt get it this time. :)
I just completely figured out that these numbers become links for where you can go in the video, so I just made a giant list. 0:30 1:00 1:30 2:00 2:30 3:00 3:30 4:00 4:30 5:00 5:30 6:00 6:30 7:00 7:30 8:00 8:30 9:00 9:30 10:00 10:30 11:00 11:30 12:00 12:30 13:00 13:30 14:00 14:30 15:00 15:30 16:00 16:30 17:00 17:30 18:00 18:30 19:00 19:30 20:00 20:30 21:00 21:30 22:00 22:30 23:00 23:30 24:00 24:30 25:00 25:30 26:00 26:30 27:00 27:30 28:00 28:30 29:00 29:30 30:00 30:30 31:00
One of my 4 favorite cartoons of ALL TIME tied with Spongebob, Powerpuff girls and My life as a teenage robot! Dinkleburg is one of the many reasons why! Always puts Timmy's dad in a funny rage.
Honestly, it's probably out of jealousy. Dinkelberg is a acronym for, Duel Income No Kids. Plus like he said, his house is bigger and nicer, as well as cheaper.
It’s so weird recognizing less and less scenes as the video progresses from knowing the episodes plot from the clip to scenes I’ve never seen before Is this what becoming old feels like
Sure is, and as y'grow older and start creating less and less significant memories, time will begin moving faster and faster. You'll feel like it's only a month or so has passed, but it's actually been three years.
I love that (maybe) to compensate that they made dinkleberg into a saint (figuratively) in later seasons , it’s extra funny seeing he being the nicest person ever, Timmy’s dad still hating him for no reason and yet only good things happen to dinkleberg
0:26 I think it’s worth noting that Mr. Turner is beating the Mr. dinkleburg who’s giant robot they likely bought from some big shot company while turner made his in his garage
"DAD! Get a grip! There is nothing evil about Mr. Dinkleberg" Timmy's dad: *horrific gasp* Dinkleberg's gotten to you too! he put a chip in your little girl brain just like he did to your mother!"
I don't think he would Firstly: Because its a Kids show Secondly: It may be Just Normal and jealousy Hate not that type of hate Third: Something tells me you think about that or something similar idk @@michaelsarmiento3057
