In this video, a new personal best was caught! I also found TONS of fish loaded on boat dock posts and was able to catch them ALL on a brand new lure that I've never once thrown! I lost count of how many fish were put in the boat in this video!

I get outfished by my wife all the time. Kinda used to it. Her PB at a private pond is 7lb 22.50" on a Bass Stopper tri-colored rigged worm. But I can get her on Walleye/saugeye and catfish. Awesome video Josh

That’s a dang good one private pond or not!

@740_bass_fishing Yup, my weighted PB was 4lb 12oz 20" from a bank. I had a bigger one atleast 5lb from a cheap sit in kayak. Small electric only lake. I paddled till I found a couple acres of lily pads. 10 casts in the bass launched up out of the water and absolutely crushed my frog 🐸. Didn't have anything to measure it.

Topwater blowup that big would have me hooked for life. Biggest I’ve ever caught on topwater was probably in the 3 pound range. My biggest from the bank was a 5.2 flipping a jig around docks at Seneca but when I was probably 11 or 12 years old I caught a 7.11 on a spinnerbait out of the pond across the road from my parents house. It was a private pond that was actually really deep. I used to fish it a lot as a kid. My PB is the 7.4 I caught last spring at Seneca.

@740_bass_fishing Yup! I saw 7lb/ spinnerbait video several times lol. That one was awesome. I also did good using Stanley Ribbit frogs w/ Stanley Double Take hooks. It's acts like a subsurface swimbait. The bass tracks them down and sucks them down from behind. Use them in thick matted yuk coverage.

You ever fish the grassy areas out near the front of the harbor or the break wall going out to the main lake? They typically hold bigger fish

I have fished one of the break walls but probably not the one you are talking about. I know which one you are referring to and I fished the marina right before you go out to that one but didn’t go all the way out.

@740_bass_fishing Last couple years, I have been in those grassy areas. Drifting in a kayak and dragging a Black/blue Blue Rock 1099 jig w/trash chunk trailer. But closer to the bank I've used Yamamoto senko wacky black/blue fleck/ blue tail. Usually bass at 15"-18" range. Some people used brownish green bladed jigs. But by the rocks ,you already found the pattern. Way better early May.

I’ve heard a lot of the same that you are describing. I’ve only been up there probably 3-4 times ever so I’m definitely still learning.

@740_bass_fishing I go there several times a year. Usually for bank, kayak or non private charters fishing. Mostly East Harbor. I haven't had a boat out to the rock bank areas. Another lure choice is black/white swimbaits when you see them busting shads. Bass hide along the rocks in the spring. Of course, KVD 1.5 red works good. Note: I'm no expert lol 😆

If there’s one thing I’ve learned and learned quickly about fishing is when you think you have them figured out or think you’re an expert those little green fish will humble you every single time! 😂
