The Philadelphia Flyers have started their 2017-18 regular season with a 6-6-1 record. While they put up an impressive 41 goals in their first month of play, they've been hindered by inconsistent goaltending and mounting injuries on both offense and defense. Sean Couturier has proven himself to be a very good top-line center, Claude Giroux has had his best start in years, and Wayne Simmonds is still Wayne Simmonds.
While they've lost some heartbreakers already, I'd say that this start to the season isn't much of a disappointment, as the offense has been finding the net and their young prospects have shown a lot of promise. Hopefully the team can get healthy and start stringing together wins with more regularity!
