The Church had no problem with Galileos Model, their problem was he was teaching it as a fact in schools when he didnt have enough proof of his claims. When he tried to distort scripture to back his claims and then insulted the Pope who liked him btw, they put him in house arrest in a mansion...
Catharism was heretical. First, it was polytheistic: 2 creator gods, one good, one evil. Second: it identifies the God of the Old Testament as the evil one, so no continuity of the Christian religion. Third: anti-natalism. They were completely against having children. Fourth: did not believe Jesus ever took human form and that his human form was illusion magic. Fifth: did not believe Jesus died and resurrected. Sixth: rejected baptism as evil. Seventh: did not believe Jesus was God, but only an angel. Eight: believed in reincarnation, including human souls reincarnated into animals. There's more but definitely heretical by any Christian standard of the day, catholic or otherwise.
@@chumpliver Firstly, its not because I'm a Christian, its because there are some people who are trying to force everyone to remove the Christian part of western culture. Secondly, gay Christian? Really ?
