yeahh big collabs could really be extra chaotic and it could be quite hard for introverts to speak up when there's a lot of people talking at the same time. sometimes, when you speak, you'll just be talked over especially when your voice isn't loud enough so you'll just end up staying silent. good thing ike was there

Yeah. I remember from a previous stream on his first week iirc that he mentioned that's why he isnt exactly comfortable with doing big collabs like that. I am super happy that he is def trying to improve himself and joining more into groups and even doing this OffCollab. Ike truly is great too amd iirc Vox and Nina do try to help also. But def Ike is a good friend speaking up for him to give his chance to talk. I know we all know the others dont mean to as y'all said. Big group collabs are pretty nutty and chaotic. Super glad Mysta has people like Ike extending that hand.

@@tuck234 Introverted people shouldn’t “have to improve” not to mention improving on being an actual introvert is literally impossible. The spectrum of introversion and extraversion all has to do with the nervous system and how the brain is wired. Yeah, let’s expect us introverts to just reprogram our whole nervous system for other people who can’t have the decency to let others talk and instead, do the rude thing and just talk over everyone. Don’t know about everyone else, but I was taught speaking over people and not littering them talk is rude af. Mysta shouldn’t have to feel the need that HE isn’t good enough and that HE has to change over something he literally has zero control over. Meanwhile, people do have control over the fact that they are being loud and speaking over people. My friends have no issues quieting down or flat out stop talking when I want to say something and give me an actual chance to talk because they know I won’t talk if I keep getting talked over and will ultimately just leave or be forgotten about. A real introvert can only handle so much before it just over loads our brains and we just shut down. Social interactions is mentally and physically draining and we can only do it for so long. My limit is any where from 30 minutes to 3 hours tops before I want to be alone and not be required to talk to anyone. Introversion is not “being shy” is not about how much time you stay at home nor is it the activities you do. Those are a side effect, expect being shy, we are just perceived that way. But it is literally just how long we can handle social interactions before our brains get over stimulated and we become physically and mentally drained.

​@@klausd.6285 We should be mindful of anyone who definitely feels or how we perceive someone maybe as uncomfortable, but that shouldn't also mean we just coddle either as if they are completely mentally defective, because introverts are definitely not. It helps no one especially said introvert. Some added context: My original comment that you replied to is a simplistic view, but I was more highlighting Ike providing the mental support especially since Among Us kind of encourages a more negative side of socially interacting (lying, arguing said lie, strategies of deception, etc.). I had no intention also of downplaying introversion as just shyness. I know it's waaaay more than that as someone who has been through similar situations. Apologies if it may have come off that way, but also we shouldn't just have others always handle as if you're always walking on eggshells around them. Treat them like a normal person.

yesss. i always have this urge to protect him against the world or give him everything... he just experienced so many hardships in the past... i'm glad he found nijisanji and nijisanji found him. i'm glad he's doing better now... he just... deserves the world. 🥺

Yo dude, as someone who is also in highschool and is socially awkward, same bro, same. Especially in crowds/ large friend groups, you just feel so small and insignificant, you want to talk, but you think what you want to say might ruin the mood for everyone and then you feel like what you have to say doesn't really matter much. you know? or is it just me 😅? if you read this, thanks for listening to my small rant.

@@jasher-2522 not just you bruh the only people i feel comfy with and knows won't mind me cutting them off mid sentence to say something are 2 friends i've been close to for like 5 years, then there's this other friend i've been close to for 3 years but since she's really extroverted she has many other friends that when people who i don't know approach us mid conversation i just felt the need to excuse myself because i didn't wanna stand out like a sore thumb and be an inconvenience just listening in

Same. For most of my elementary, middle, and high-school life, I had to pretend to be extroverted just to be noticed. But it never worked out because I never made real friends who genuinely cared about me. Most of my childhood was very traumatic so then having to emotionally and physically pushed myself out there to make friends was absolutely exhausting.

The thing is, when you're too focused on someone but other person is also trying to get your attention, you'll always focus on what you deem more important first. Maybe they didn't *ignore* them, but they were so fixated on the argument that they didn't notice, or perhaps they *heard* Ike, Nina, and Mysta but didn't *listen* to them, as in, they only mildly perceived they were saying something but didn't actually know exactly what and automatically deemed it as less important. Notice how when Ike started the emergency meeting people started talking again but he raised his voice before things got heated up again. The higher the volume, the less likely something/someone is only heard instead of listened, that's why everyone listened to what he was saying in the first place and realized Mysta was trying to say something but couldn't. Then they kept quiet and let Mysta speak as they probably would have had they known. I honestly wouldn't fully blame them, it's very natural and all of us have probably done it more than once without even noticing, it depends on how you were raised and how outgoing you are, idk if they learned from this experience tho. If they didn't then, yeah, that sucks.

yeah they really were incredibly inconsiderate and obnoxious during the game, reimu too had a lot of moments where she was just shouting and talking over people and even after Ike called a new meeting just to let mysta speak and reimu was STILL interrupting

@@kunoxx7 They're grown adults and you're trying to excuse their behaviour like they're some little kids that don't know how to behave. I think it's important to call out their selfish behaviour so that they can understand the way their behaviour can affect others in a negative way, because they are the ones responsible for the way they acted. I have had moments in life where I accidentally interrupted someone or talked over them but I always notice straight away and let the other person talk. It's really not hard, it's just basic consideration towards another person. And yes I know people have different personalities and mentalities, some people are a lot more oblivious and inconsiderate which isn't a crime and that doesn't make them a bad person. But in life you need to learn to be respectful towards others, especially when you're working a job that requires you to socialise and interact with others. You mentioned about them being outgoing but look at Luca, he's super outgoing but he also let others speak, he doesn't talk non-stop and shout over anyone else trying to talk. Many times he waited to speak and couldn't get a word out. The level of selfishness/inconsideration of certain people during the game ruined it for a lot of people. Doesn't mean that we're hating on those people, just on the way that they behaved. In the first place, yes it's lovely that Ike did what he did for Mysta but he shouldn't have had to go that far just so that they would listen to Mysta and it's sad that he had to go that far because some of them have no manners. I also think it can be fun to have that shouting and chaos sometimes, but it's not funny when it's happening the entire time with the same 3 people shouting over everyone else and not letting them get a word in edgeways.

@@blue7609 Not trying to actually excuse their behavior, although it might’ve come off as that to others. I did feel pretty bothered by what they did too, it was, indeed, very unfair to Mysta, I just feel like people have to understand different perspectives to make a judgement, sometimes we focus too much on the “what” and ignore the “why”, I was simply trying to describe what I think would’ve caused it, and explain other things to support that, like you’d do with any statement. I agree with you, their behavior was very selfish, but I sometimes like to look deeper in and make a second judgement. I like to understand and explore other things besides what we’re seeing, it will never make things any less wrong, but I like to do it to understand the other side. Know that I am aware that their behavior was selfish and that I never thought otherwise.

same! when they actually replayed the collab clip and you could hear mysta trying to speak and the girls just talking right over him like he wasn't even there, I started feeling angry/frustrated/helpless just like when I was in those situations so many times growing up. It feels so awful and when it happens frequently for years on end it really messes with your self esteem, like you always feel that nobody cares about what you have to say.

(I'm one of the eldest? Or maybe, I was the eldest during the call and they seem to quiet down whenever I talk all the time anyway 😂😭)

Honestly, I 100% agree with you. While watching the whole collab stream, for some reason, it was so obnoxious for them to not let other members to speak, especially for Mysta. Like, I understand how they wanted to sort of defend themselves in-game, but with all the screaming and interrupting as if there weren't any other members there really rubs me the wrong way. Don't get me wrong, I love all of them. But that one collab stream really changed the way I see them (just like you said). I may said something wrong, but I'm just giving my two cents. Hope nobody's triggered ^^;

@@Isegmfu I guess that particular stream enlightened us on who's more assertive within the bunch huh ;) among us aside though, my perception has greatly changed since the first time I stumbled upon NijiEN and honestly everyone's pretty sweet! I just hope that everyone will get a chance in the future to play a similar game and will be more equal in terms of who gets to speak.

since this was 4 months ago you’re view might’ve changed but i don’t think it’s fair to let this change your impression of them because not everybody is gonna be able to hear everybody and they all just wanna defend themselves lol. it’s just how among us is. i really doubt that anyone playing among us would’ve been able to let everybody speak because.. that’s just not how a lot of people are. + imo it wouldn’t have been all that entertaining. i’m sure none of them meant to ignore the other it’s just something that happens

@@sleepycomfort You took the words right out of my mouth, plus i believe it was the fact that the louder streamers were more aquainted with each other and more comfortable with streaming, its kinda wrong for your opinion to change on someone in a collab where the game is literally quick debate most of the time with play fighting and yelling when you should base your opinion by a streamer themself. A lot of people were saying the female vtubers were annoying or obnoxious for their behavior but they’ll be looked at like that if the streamer THE VIEWER is watching is the more timid type.

@@HunnyVeemo yeah exactly!! letting everybody speak would be ideal but it would take way too long. i saw a lot of people complaining about the girls ignoring ike which i mean they were (not that they meant to i’m sure) but luca also was.. he wasn’t exactly yelling but he was still continuing on and talking. i relate to mysta a lot in that scenario because i’m also a major introvert and also have social anxiety but i can’t blame people for not hearing him since he was quiet and they were in their own world

There’s nothing wrong with having smaller calls! I have plenty of friends that stream and they usually have a 4 person limit in their own calls (the streamer themselves, and 3 others), since most multiplayer games allow 4 people. I also have a limit of 4 people in stream calls with me. Don’t feel obligated to be in larger calls - set your boundaries and be honest with your limits.

we all react in different ways i guess. as for me, i just stay silent and wait for them to notice me and ask me themselves lmaoooo

@@jinwooclips yeah for me I just wait for them to be quiet and then repeat myself but sometimes they still didn't notice me and that put me in a really awkward situation cause some of them heard me but they didn't even bother stand up for me
