Idea for alteration to the challenge: Start with the money bag, where you get more casings but drop money on hit. Start in cursed king mode, whatever its called. You have to buy the rat key. You have to get the advanced dragun. And lastly... you have to play as the robot. Please like so Hutts sees this! EDIT: Hutts, if you see this, the following additions are optional. Turbi mode! Full clear every floor! Metronome!

I feel like the bonus damage from each item is multiplied, not added, that would explain why you started dealing so much damage so early. Considering that you had 370 coins and 25 items when you reached Bullet Hell, each item had (370/500)*(2-370/500) = 93.24% increase in damage. Now, if it were just linear increase (aka each item gives you +93% damage from your base damage) then you would deal 2431% damage with each shot (or 121.55 damage), which is way less than any of the bosses' health. But if the damage of each item was based off of the already boosted damage (by the previous item), it would be (1 + 0.9324)^25 damage multiplier, or roughly 14.2 million multiplier :D So I guess it's no surprise that even the final boss couldn't handle that 71 million damage shot lel

@@galacticranger8072 that's the thing, it's a damage PER SECOND cap. If the damage comes as one big lump, it's not DPS, it's just straight damage. It's why weapons like the firework cannon do so much damage, it's that it's one very highly damaging shot as a pose to 100 shots with decent damage. Gungeon calculates DPS reduction after the first shot, which means that if the first bullet does 10 billion damage, it's instant death.

suggestion: every item is gilded bullets EXTREME MODE activate curse of the king AND you cant junk chests for gilded bullets you can only get them by opening chests or buying an item from the chop and dropping it (you can do hard mode which is the same thing but no curse of the king)

I believe your damage started stacking multiplicatively, because there is no way you'd kill the king so fast otherwise, especially if the sidearm only does 5 damage, because otherwise you would only do roughly 700% of base damage increase by that point, equaling 40 damage per shot, so I think the gilded bullets affected your damage after the previous gilded bullets was applied, so the gilded bullets also affected the previous gilded bullets so to speak.

Mr. Glass run; Play as the robot, Start with one armor, 6 glass guon stones, the glass cannon, full metal jacket, and a lodestone ammolet. Rules; you can not use any guns other than robot's right hand, and the glass cannon. You can not pick up armor, or any guon stones that aren't glass. Your active is free game, and you are free to replace chests with either a blank, or an ammo drop, as long as you spend the key to unlock them first. I've tested it, and I can confirm that it is frustrating, but rewarding.

Hutts! There's a mod called SimpleStats that allows you to have a display on the side that can show most of the stats that change throughout the run. You can customize which stats get shown. One of them is damage and it shows your damage multiplier. It can also show things like curse, coolness, speed, and so many more. It's a useful mod that I'd recommend especially for a challenge like this so you wouldn't have to calculate it yourself.

For everyone confused why the boss damege cap doesn't work right here To simplify it it doesn't mean anything for 1 shotting bullets it mainly affects the damage you do over a period of time (also 1 bullet that deals a lot of damage is not a thing in normal gungeon except for a couple S tier guns) Meaning 1 bullet that deals 10k damage will one shot the boss but 10 bullets that take 5 seconds to deal 10k damage will not because that damage cap will be in effect

That's not how the damage cap works. There is a flat cutoff where the damage cap stops working. If a bullet deals more than 1000 damage, it ignores the damage cap. I am a modder, and I tested it myself to make sure this is right. A bullet that deals 999 damage will not break the damage cap, but a bullet that deals 1001 will. For reference, a bullet that deals 900 damage does not insta-kill the Trigger Twins, who each only have 400 health, because the incoming damage to the enemy is reduced to comply with the DPS cap.

A list of bosses that can be considered bullshit are: ammoconda, high priest (the nowhere bullets) and one that (I think) may be unique to me is wallmonger, ammoconda is famous for its bullshittiness, high priest because of his bullets from nowhere throughout the fight, and wallmonger because of the impending doom if you can’t kill fast enough

I think it might stack by multiplying your damage by 2each time instead of adding 100% of your original damage. So 15 with max money would give you 2^15*100% damage instead of 15000%. Which definitely one-shots everything. Idk though if it did that I feel like it would have gotten busted faster

I think guilded is a damage multiplier, so 1 at 500 shells is x2, second one is x4, then x8, and so on and so forth. So at 15, it'd be a x32768 multiplier, so it that defence, it's really no surprise.

Modified challenge idea: Money to Burn: Start with loot bag, 9 curse, gilded bullets, and microtransaction gun. Can choose between any item that synergizes with the previous. Must get rat key and advanced dragun, can only use micro transaction gun or synergizing guns.

11:17 maybe something like The Midas challenge? (Basically this challenge but he has to have max curse straight-out of gate. (The reason for calling it The Midas challenge is because basically in the story he (King Midas), was cursed, and only realized it until after he accidentally turned his daughter into gold). I believe think the gilded bullets may have compounded with each other and worked exponentially instead of linearly. Which would explain why everything died in one shot despite the damage caps.

these challenges where every item is a certain item end up being really easy and i think for the items of a certain genre you should get a similar quality item to what you would get normally like you wouldn't get platinum bullets from a brown chest and also please spend keys on the chests to get the item because you are getting more items than you normally would also a fun challenge idea would be every item is an ammolet but you also get extra blanks so you can use the ammolets you get

Just wanted to say that your math checks somewhat out. To be exact your damage multiplier is 4,102.8% if you have 15 times gilded bullets with 236 "coins".

Were you multiplying the bonuses or adding the bonus cuz with multiplying them each % increase would scale off the prior one to include itself in the next calculation so 1 maxed guilded would be 100% extra of your damage to give 200% damage but the next would give 400% then 800% so the calculation should be 2^X where X=guilded bullets

I think Gilded Bullets just multiplies the damage you already do with its percentage. That would make sense with the amount of damage you started dealing. It starts doubling the already doubled damage you do.

If you look at it in .25x speed that's not what happened at all, he probably did slightly over a thousand damage and broke the cap. However he still did less damage than the old King's health.

I feel as though gilded bullets is similar to something like the soldier's syringe in RoR2 in that when you get it normally in game it is a minimal boost usually, but eventually, if you stack them enough, they get really overpowered.

Almost all damage upgrades in Gungeon are multiplicative, so if you were to stack pretty much any damage upgrade enough it would get crazy

Hint: The best way to make money in this game is by going robot and maximizing your curse with the statue at the beginning. This is because the robot does not use red health, and jammed bullets still only take one piece of armor away, which eliminates one of two problems with the jammed enemies, whilst still getting piles of shells. So, if you want to try this run again but you turn on the statue and you want things to be really insane, Try robot next time, and maybe even turn on the gun blessing for increased rng. You get more money/shells from the game overall, while still being able to live longer. Edit nvm lol, he said "maybe robot" after I finished writing this. He didn't mention turning on the statue yet at least Again edit: A comment already said turning on the beginning statue whilst playing robot

Not really, he only got that many high chests because he didn't pick up any A or S tier items. The way the game handles loot is that it's more likely to give you better chests if you haven't picked up any high tier items yet. Since he was breaking all the good chests, and not opening them, the game kept on giving him good chests because it registered that the previous chests had been wasted.

The reason this run was so op is because gilded is a damage multiplier so 15 gilded isnt +1500% its ×2^15 which is ×32768 and because the dps cap is based on your damage per second of your attacks the first shot cant be nagated

The real reason why the Old King died immediately is because the little bullet dude (the chancellor? Purple robe bulletkin) next to him was shot by Hutts into the King. Once the dude hit the King (btw, he got lucky since the lil guy barely had enough speed to hit the King), it one shot him. That guy can one shot ANY BOSS. Yes, ANY BOSS. If you can get the lil chancellor guy to another floor and have Casey, which provides a lot of knockback, you can one shot bosses providing you hit the boss with the lil dude. ~*~*~The more you know~*~*~

The console was not made by the devs, it was made by modders. Not all the names in there are official, for example Spread Ammo is referred to as 'Partial Ammo'.

melee master challenge only melee weapons excaliber is an exception however since it has a melee reload cannot pick up casey unless there's an S tier or A tier chest on the floor give wooden blasphemy on start cannot play as bullet though if you get a B chest, get regular blasphemy if you get a C chest, get armor of thorns if you get a D chest, just get a passive that goes well with melee (don't have it go too well with melee though!) oh yeah also you can spawn a cleanse shrine in because all of these melees were smuggled into the gungeon so you will have lord of the jammed making you suffer if you don't spawn a cleanse shrine and pay the price for purity
