Actual difference were Cook & Pietersen who outscored our top order in spin-friendly condition that gave their bowlers those big totals of 400's & 500's to defend on these low bouncy tracks. Otherwise India would've beaten them in close margins had their totals finished on 150-200 range like Ahmedabad's 1st innings.
Remember this series loss. I was shocked to see England dominating over in India's home condition. After 1st test win i thought its a easy 4-0 win for india but England shocked every of usm credit to them. Anderson,panesar, cook & kevin were the key players in this series
India wasn't making spin friendly pitches back then, we were preparing neutral pitches which would accommodate favourable conditions for both the sides. Its Virat Kohli who identified the unique ability of Indian pitches spinning both the ways & only then we started preparing spin pitches

"Bunny"? They played each other in 6 test series of 4-5 test matches, Jimmy only got him for 7 times while 3 of those series played on extremely helpful tracks of England & Kohli averages very good 44 against him. That's pretty mediocre stats by a bowler against a rival batter.

James Anderson has a unique ability to nip the ball long way you can see the seam,he never bowled a leg cutter or off cutter the seam shows just a seam up delivery still he manages to move the ball a long way,great skill, one of the greats of all time

MS Dhobi, the only captain who lost a series in India for last 2 decades. He was a lousy test captain who lost 4-0 in England and Aus in 2011. Someone else should have captained this series.

You could probably argue he is the man most dedicated to test cricket out of all the test players out there At his age he couldve adapted his bowling style a few years ago and played t20 cricket franchise cricket without putting his body on the line and with no risk of an injury. Indian bowling tracks had become so hard and obviously for the pacers it had become so hard bcci had to initiate a right infrastructure which would balance the game and it would support either entity for the longer run batsman and both bowlers

His record against Sachin in the test is marvelous but it's nothing but a common misconception that he dominated Virat, in fact it's the other way around. He only got Virat Out only 7 times in 6 test series of 4-5 test matches, with VK averaging 44 against him & 3 out that 6 series were played in England with pitches tailor made to assist him more so than usual.
