The identity key isn't a real key. It is a mix of the race, and gender key. The mirror key isn't real either

The music box key is really overpowered when fighting the enemy, but the writers made the characters kinda forget that it existed, just to create more tension. Same with using the mirror key or the ghost key or the head key to get rid of dodge in the end.

For Sam's part it's totally normal Kinsey or her brother were tied up so they couldn't go upstairs, and for dodge I was wondering too but I guess it's because she is not real and she used a key to get the appareance of someone so the music box key I guess it only works on real people that's my theory but not sure.

This show has a lot of potential I really hope they improve the story for season 2 the first 3 episodes where basically really boring also they just kept forgetting they had the keys like they literally used the music box key once while it is super powerful and the bad guys are by far the best performance too the keys are so cool I hope they actually do cool stuff with them

it was kinda SAD what happened to the one guy who used the Ghost key and then the door shut on him, effectively cutting him off from his body because you can only re-enter your body through that exact door and I was just like "oh god he didn't KNOW and now he's permanently gone he didn't even get to say sorry for what he did!?!?" like that just tugged on my heart as much as what we found out about who REALLY got thrown behind that omega door.

The coolest thing ever I’m 35 and I felt this show because as a kid I sure imagined having a key that could take me anywhere in the world 🌎 I also love old classic keys so to see the cool keys is awesome. I love this show it’s a family affair thing

Locke and Key season 2 was confirmed in late March 2020. There's no official release date yet and that means it's unlikely you'll see the show return until Spring 2021 or so

I loved this show....I rarely see the trailer before watching show..Because of that this show was exciting for me...This show has so much potential ...they can do prequel story where the keys came from, more about their Father's and his friends story, Also proper continuation of story from Season 1 end... Only request is to writers not to make characters so dumb...Giving crown key to Ellie, not using Music box key during face off with Sam are total bad decisions

+ Another missed opportunity... Season 2: ....... Creating the Demon Key 🔑 😈🤦🏼‍♂️ Actually could have had a different INTENTION during the process = to trap/immobilize or defeat Dodge forever when he/she tried to use it. ~ Even BETTER would have been to create a SWAP Key, to have Dodge & Ellie swap places [pulling someone specific/human from the demon-realm in trade for an Echo.] TADA! 🙌🏽 (Win/Win)

Ok also they couldn’t get the music box also Ellie just had it to get the crown but yeah also the other guy I don’t think you remember but they made the demon key to cure people so if they stoppe dodge there would still be demons same for the swap key they wouldn’t be able to get close also there needs to be a key hole for a key to be used so how would the swap key work? Since they clearly wouldn’t get near dodge

Most laughable moment in Locke & Key: Bode and Kinsey are in the woods to dig up the head key at gun point by Sam when Kinsey's fear monster attacks Sam. Bode yells "HOLY SHIT!" 😂😂🤘 I played it back several times.

Can’t wait for season 2! I’m happy that it’s already been renewed for both 2 and 3! We’ve got at least 2 whole new seasons to look forward too. Shooting for season 2 began this past September and runs through March 2021. I am assuming the release will be sometime this spring. May or so? Anyway... love the show. It tops out Stranger Things, for me.

Going by practicality, the Mending Key and Anywhere Key are my personal favourites. Being able to fix anything AND return to any door that you’ve previously visited is just... amazing. Also the Head Key would make for an amazing business in giving people entirely new identities.

I didn’t realized the there was a twist, until bode asks Rufus if Ellie is ok, saying she is missing, and bode asking for sure dodge is really gone ,that got me thinking and crack the twist that Ellie was really the one behind the black door. That one where Gabe was dodge the whole suprise me.

Yeah I totally agree! Why would you go to the black door and risk getting hit by one of those bullets when you can just use the music box key to have Lucas do it. Or they could have used the music box key to have Lucas climb back into the well. They could have also trapped Lucas with the ghost or mirror key. They had so many possibilities to get rid of Lucas and they chose the most stupid option possible. Regardless, I’m still excited to watch season 2.

I wouldn't dare use the prison mirror key or the ghost key. I find the identity key to be the coolest. I was bummed that they were easily outwitted by the demon, but it was expected.

That makes 12 keys. Imo, there must be a 13th 🔑. Shows usually don't stop at a random number like 12 unless that number (12) held some kind of significance. Who knows - mayb we'll get a reversal key in season 2 🙈🙃
