Well amazon prime spent 2million on buying the rights to create a lotr series and I really really hope they make a box set with all episodes and a sauron figure similar to wit they did with the blue coat bilbo.

I love how much detail they put into LOTR. I love how much they had on Gimlis helmet. I really wish they would put this much effort into their Marvel figures rather than having no leg printing on half of them.

Guys, you have got this wrong. The difference between the two Bards is the one from set 79016 has a dirty second face and the one from 79013 has a clean second face. I think you mixed these two. They are very different though.

Some themes just have a sense of care and quality, and some don't. I don't think you can find one with better minifigures than LOTR, although Star Wars, Ninjago and TLBM are I think finally catching up. I wish some of the current themes (I'm looking at you, Marvel) could get their game on with this.

Yeah the DC Batman mini figures are incredibly good, however The Marvel theme is more popular. I wish Lego would try as hard as lord of the rings on Marvel Heroes other than Ironman who has been perfect almost every time.

Yes you are right, but i honostly think they should make new awsome LEGO The Lord Of The Rings sets! Maybe even a Eye of Sauron set with an exclucive Sauron minifigure based on the gam, and they should make a Felbeast set with a few orcs, and Merry and Eowyn and The Witch king!!

Harry potter and lotr are my favourite Lego themes I was too young when they first game out but I'm slowly collecting them all by buying bundles reselling them and keeping some after Ive got my money back

Lego put so much effort and detailing into the minifigures probably more than any other theme, they truly outdid themselved with LOTR and im so glad i have several of these minifugs

the difference between the two bard's is the face prints the one from the lake-town chase does not have the dirt on the face while the one from the attack on lake-town does

The problem is that the one in 2013 for Bard is supposed to have a different head print. The one with the ash print should only be exclusive to the set with Bain

There is a slight difference on the lake town bard figs, the grey and gold/light brown are a slight different shade of each colour.

The two Bard the bowman figures have different reverse face prints. The muddy face print came from the third film Lake Town set (with his son), and the earlier figure in the original Lake Town set (with the Master) has a more standard reverse face print).

It would be cool if they updated this list. Although LEGO lost the license and LEGO hasn’t made any new minifigs it’s insane how expensive these figures have gotten.

Corsair of the Umbar minifig is based on Peter Jacksons cameo appearence in Return of the king. He is the one that got shot by Legolas

I wish the line went on longer, there were so many things that didn’t get made. Also I wish there were more soldiers, like Gondor infantry. And there should’ve been at least 1 or 2 Rohan soldiers in the helms deep set.

12:20 on one the coat part on the legs is olive green and the other is dark tan

Brickvault the difference between those two figs are on the legs there are yellow flakes on the side of the fur on the older one.

Wood Brick * the leg prints also have some very slight variety on them. If you look closely, the brown difference on one bard is more jagged

They should of had Alfrid in the lake town chase set with the lake town master since he's the one to stops bard at the entrance. Plus he was around more then the master in the desolation of smaug.

Éomer was not king yet in this set, and there's no minifig of him as king (at Aragorns coronation?). The minifig is probably of Éomer as a Marshall of of the Mark.
