I've been reading more light novels lately so I decided to make a video for them. Somehow this ended up as a full video, and is by far my longest video to date.
For this video my definition of a light novel is one that is published under a label that is recognized as a Light Novel label on the Japanese Wiki. As such regular books republished under a LN label will be included, while those classified as 'light literature' will not be.
My rankings are based primarily on music and not animation. Enjoy.

Do you consider this batch of song to be strong? It seems to me as if many songs made unexpectedly high due to the poor quality of the batch. Such as #16, #9, #7 and #4 for example. Did "Even if..." drop on you?

The top is a little weak relative to my other videos, but at the same time that's not the main selling point of this video (it's the amount of solid ones). "Even if..." has not dropped.

Great List. I'm 99% agree with your choice. Just curious but i didn't expect i saw Eiyuu Unmei no Uta graded so low, I thought you like EGOIST and that song.

@@LlamaOP From the statistics you provided above, the value tends to be around 200 for pretty much every year so I don't think those values actually says much about recency bias and other factors. I feel N=number of songs found in each year probably has more meaning and significance than the average ranking. Also, we're only looking at light novels opening which limits our data and doesn't quite give the full picture.

@@LlamaOP Actually having all average ranking value at around the same value could still prove your point of having less recency bias. That's assuming a person with high recency bias will have the recent 5 years' values to be noticeably lower (10% or so) than the older years. So having all values to be close to each other means having less recency bias by comparision. At first glance I thought highly similar values doesn't mean anything but it might actually does.
