This video was super good, many thanks. It was really good education. I have KR saber V1 and waiting on my roman props V2 stenciled version. I might have mention this before, but your videos have changed my direction on my collection. And Im gratefull for that. Thanks again and looking forward to the next video.
Awesome collection. So many behind the scenes stories for these hilt. The V2 is hands down my all time favourite. All the grittiness. paint chipping, and overall aging look...add so much character to her :)
Thanks for the vid really interesting, I now feel even better about getting my V1 (no control box) knowing that there isn’t really one single “official” Luke saber with a control box anyway
The electronic one I had as a kid was pretty much based on the V3. The only feature it had in common with the “hero” version is the nipple atop the emitter. So growing up, the V3 was the version that I associated with Luke’s lightsaber. I had no idea about the other versions, and the first time I saw the hero one, I was so confused. It just looked kinda weird to me. Mostly the activation housing. It’s too big. Honestly, the V3 looks the best. The only features I would carry over from the hero version would be the card style and remove the button clamp (but keep the button the size of the E3), have the nipple on the emitter, and have the copper part look like one solid piece. To me, that would be the ideal version.
@@michaelrunde4262 yes but practically back then impossible. They would have needed a minimum of two. One static belt-hanger (V2) and one fitted with a blade for duels (V3). For various reasons they ended up with 6 total (Yuma, Hero, 2 x resin).
@@Sithslayer I think I understand what you’re saying. They didn’t have a way to connect the blade for the prop to the belt hanger hilt so they had to make several hilts but didn’t have all the same parts at the same time right?
I definitely remember a version in the movie where top of emitter it was sloped up unlike obi wans as being flat,I don't think this is a Mandela affect lol
Love your videos ! Where did you get these 4 sabers ? My favorite is the V2 for me. Its style is more in line with the other sabers of the Original Trilogy (Graflex clamp, totaly beat up, classic circuit card etc.)
@@Sithslayer Thanks for your response. I have other questions : Where did you get the reveal board in the Hero ? What paint did you use for the neck (copper/gold ?) and the grey of the box (light grey ? Flat ? Satin ?) Is the box rails should be painted as the same color as the neck or just appli some copper tape ? Thank you !
@@DARKOO92 the reveal board came with the 7Chambers MoM. For the neck I used a bike spray bronze gold. For the box grey use a satin light grey I used Humbrol. The control box rails should be covered in copper tape that seems to be the most accurate. Hope it helps!
@@Sithslayer Thanks for those informations. Do you know if the reveal board is still sold in the MOM kit? There is no photo of it on their site and it's not mentioned in the description either.
