Only hyped for Scream 6 personally. I love the Scream franchise and it’s probably the only horror franchise I generally like ALL the movies. To hear Ghostface will now be running wild in New York… gotta go see it 😁 I would say FNAF as well but I don’t think it’s coming out this year. Pumped for both regardless 👍 excited for Ghostbusters though I don’t count it as horror lol
Man FD 5 was one of the better I’ve seen in a while. I watched it last year, and I know it had been out for a while already, but it was brutal. I could go for a FD 6
I’m looking forward to M3GAN, Scream 6, and Insidious 5. But I’m more interested in seeing M3GAN. I had always wanted to see a new killer doll rather than Chucky. Don’t get me wrong I love Chucky, but we really needed a new killer doll. Hopefully M3GAN does good and gets a sequel. 🤞🤞🤞🤞
I'm ready for some more Ghostface! Also Knock at the cabin looks great, I love Batista and regardless of what you think about M Night Shyamalan most of his movies are entertaining.
Scream 6 is definitely my most anticipated horror movie of 2023, the last one was great and i can't wait to see Ghostface unleashing terror in the streets of New York City
How would a Cat in the Hat horror movie sound? A group of partying teenage kids hiding in a house while their parents are gone and a wild and murderous cat with a hat and his minions (Thing 1 and 2) breaks in and hunts them down
My kid is already scared of the Cat in the Hat. 😂 Actually anything Dr Seuss related. I tried to get him to watch The Grinch this Christmas and he downright refused. He’s scared of puppets too, so all the Muppet movies I loved as a child are off the table.
By far the movie I'm most looking forward to is Maxxxine, then probably the new Evil Dead. I'll definitely check out Beauisafraid, but it scares me that Joaquin Phoenix's name is written much bigger than the name of the movie on the poster.
I was surprised to see that "Megan" released in my country before the US so i had to watch it before watching your review, and im telling you... You're gonna LOVE IT.
Chris is the type of friend we all need even if we know where horrible people we'll always know that Chris will give us the benefit of the doubt and have high hopes that we'll do good even if we know we won't lmao
3c you’re gonna hit 1M by the end of the year and I just wanna say congrats bro, been here since idk when but chucky season 1 definitely made me a fan of you, can wait for more spoiler free reviews!
@@daytonsouthall1137 I think they meant big licensed horror films are making a comeback in 2023, with ED rise, Saw and Scream 6 compared to 2022's only decent big IP films being Scream 5 and Prey
Scream 6 by far I think will be the best horror movie of 2023. Scream 6 is also the number 1 horror movie im looking forward too the most. Im also gonna be watching the Winnie the Pooh horror movie only cause im a man who grew up on Winnie the Pooh and I love horror. Ill be watching the new saw, the new Exorcist, the new insidious, the Meg 2. But scream 6 the horror movie im looking forward too the most.
The strangers was immediately my favorite horror movie when it came out. The scares, tension, blood, heart wrenching characters it’s all there!! So excited for a trilogy!
11:30 the Exorcist TV show, with Geena Davis, was a sequel to the movie. I wonder what will happen with the movie? If they’ll take elements from the tv series or have the tv as a different time line 🤷🏽♀️
Wow, That is so many Horror Movies coming this Year. I'm can't wait to check out Scream VI, Knock at The Cabin, The Nun 2, Saw X and The Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey Movie. And we'll see when The Five Nights at Freddy's is set to Release, still pretty cool they got Matthew Lillard in the cast.
@@3CFilms yeah watched it but like you said the list is to small we need more than 10 well i think you said but im probbaly not remembering right where do you see the the movies releasing like do you have a site for that?
2023 baby, HERE WE GO ! 🎉 I really really enjoyed Servants, will give knock at the cabin a try ! Honestly Cocaine Bear will be the kind of “don’t need to see” that I need to see 😂 For Scream 6 the New York Setting really gives me something, I’m curious ! 🎉 65 really got everything you need for a good cinema-ride, hope they don’t mess it up with some “too much” 😂
I'm hyped for the new scream too, I'm hoping for a scene with someone like Kirby or gale walking past or through an alley and we see scream stalk and freak them out before chasing
I would be more invested in 'The Exorcist' reboot if there was a high-end director at the helm like Guillermo del Toro (The Orphanage), Ari Aster (Hereditary), Sean Ellis (The Cursed), Alejandro Amenábar (The Others). Someone with a seasoned, sophisticated, heightened vision as to what works best for that subject matter. Hearing that the same people who relaunched the 'Halloween' franchise is behind this falls flat. The final 'Halloween.' ZZZzzzzzzz! These movies were pushed back on account of the pandemic. Countless delays. Teasers a-plenty for years. Constant build-up with the stars promising a great film worth the wait to the fans. Online banter ad nauseum and finally, this - THIS is the best you could do?????
Agreed. These directors need to rewatch 70s and 80s horror films and adapt what made them work back then. I think Mike Flannigan would be a better choice.
I have to respectfully disagree. I think they are highly talented directors and did as much as you can can do with a slasher film. I loved Halloween 2018, and Halloween Ends. Yes, Ends was different but I loved that they had the balls to do something different. However, I agree that the Excorcist would greatly benefit from all of the directors you listed. I guess it doesn't matter too much to me because I'm really not a huge Excorcist fan or a fan of the demon possession subgenre of horror. My favorite subgenre is slashers. Still, they might suprise you with what they are able to do. I'm just not a big fan of this new trend of doing three films, I mean how much can you really do with the excorcist in three films that will be enough to make three films?
I’m excited for Meg 2 despite how terrible the first one was , if they can follow the Book by Steve Alten a lot closer , we’re in for a big Treat , there are 3 Megalodons in this one
I'm still upset that Disney didn't let Guillermo Del Toro to make his version of The Haunted Mansion. I like Devito and Wilson but the casting of them as the main characters didn't do it for me. The story of the attraction is dark so why didn't they go with that route? I don't care if it's supposed to be a kids movie. The previous movie touched on heavy subjects too.
Scream did a great job setting us up with a newer group of protagonists for its following films. The recent Halloween films teased but ultimately follow through on something similar, and clinging to Laurie Strode and legacy characters wore the sequels down. I like that this batch is away from Woodboro, and our new group of heroes. Sidney, Gale, and Dewey are great, but the franchise can evolve without them now
Can't wait for Salem's Lot. Idk if it's still dropping that year. It got delayed to Spring 2023 and then vanished from the slate with no news or real updates.
Chris i need to thank you your the reason I got into horror I usually never watch anything horror related because I’m an easy scare but because of you I gave it a chance and loved everything I’ve watched so far
The exorcist is the grandpa of upscale horror movies, blumhouse better walk this carefully, it can't be a failure imo cuz of how iconic the damm movie is, I'm hyped but my expectations are pretty high because of what it's based on
I like the fact that Ghostbusters has another movie coming up and the FNAF movie too, but one movie remake I'm still very curious on is the Christine movie? Do you have any more on the Christine remake? Just wondering
That’s kinda disappointing about Meghan…. Like seriously. If you can have a gem like terrifier 2 be as violent as it is making bank, why not take it as a lesson to give the people what they want for the audience is for instead of main streaming it and selling out a bit. I get it, your thinking business wise and mass market wise. But I think it’s gonna downgrade the quality of your film and it’s gonna lose steam quicker than it would have if it was still R. I hope there is a rated R cut later on.
Anyone not excited for the new exorcist should check out the show from a few years ago, it might give hope for what it could be! That show had amazing acting and very creepy, suspenful scenes and I've been wanting more ever since that ended
I can’t wait for the last voyage of Demeter as a vampire fan That looks awesome , And I am looking forward to seeing m3gan , And 65 , This year well be a good year for movie fans and Alexander Skarsgard is making a new movie , Awesome video and for my honorable mention is I am looking forward for Meg 2
Chris - Infinity Pool is also directed by Brandon Cronenberg, son of David (so should hopefully be good as his last two movies were pretty solid movies, especially Possessor. )
@@LordSnurdle I mean they already started making assets for the film at least , and my apologies as I misread your comment I thought you meant the film won't ever happen 😅
@@JordanDuffy49 I mean I’m sure it will eventually, even Black Adam got made after being rumored for so many years, and some movies do get canceled before release, but it’ll likely happen just maybe not this year.
It's funny and coincidental that both a Conjuring Universe film and an Exorcist film are being released at the same time plus a dream come true considering that the Conjuring 3 did reference that iconic shot in the Exorcist. Also one TBA you did miss is the upcoming adaptation of Salem's Lot also from the people behind the Conjuring Universe. I know it's not a most anticipated but thought it should be mentioned.
Do not get too excited. WB just pulled SL from the release date of April 2023 and caned it like the BatGirl movie. Apparently it was getting rock bottom preview reactions.
@@mananimal3644 Actually Salem's Lot isn't cancelled. The reason it got pulled is mainly delays in post-production. Plus if it was cancelled the studio or one of the producer's of the movie, (James Wan) would've said something by now. That and let's not forget the studio pulled a similar tactic removing the Looney Tunes movie Coyote vs. Acme from its release date of July 21st and giving it to Barbie. As for those rock bottom reactions those may have been from the first or second test screening which in order for a movie to be release it has to go through numerous test screenings. How do I know? every movie that either goes to streaming or to theaters probably had to go through more than one test screening to be released.
Nick, I work in the publicity and advertising department at WB and Zaslav caned Salem’s Lot bc to fix it was costing too much. Our team was told that advertising for the film was suspended indefinitely. Zaslav is putting most of the production budget toward Gun’s DC universe and trying to revamp HBOMAX whose days are numbered apparently. I am disappointed bc my team saw a cut of SL and it was not bad. Very close to the novel. Even set in the 1970’s.
I'll give you credit you give everybody the benefit of the doubt and have high hopes for everybody I can't think like that im 2 realistic lol I've seen how Hollywood has screwed up so many things!
This is coming from someone who doesn't usually like killer doll movies.... I absolutely LOVED M3GAN. I never go to the theatre for horror movies (only went for Scream 5 and M3GAN) but I went to see it in theatres yesterday and I freaking loved it. Awesome movie. You're going to love it if you haven't seen it yet. Easily one of my favourite movies of all time now. I'm buying it the day it comes out on iTunes. I'm also looking forward to Scream 6. Love the other movies and loved the last movie especially so I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with it. Ghostface looks way more menacing and violent in this one. As a huge fan of Scream, I can't wait to see the new movie.
I could have thought that the Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey movie already came out like last year in 2022 around Halloween. Scream VI and Megan is definitely on top of my list.
As someone who saw the first four Scream movies in theaters, I am against these movies continuing without Neve Campbell. Since they sidelined her so much in part 5, I'm glad she's skipping this new one. I'll stick with the first four movies, which I own on DVD. I also want to see 65 and Megan. They look really good. And I agree with you about Megan; they should have left it Rated R.
SAW X & Scream VI can't wait! When it comes to SAW X(we need No More Unknown secret apprentices) I know this wasn't on the list but I'm looking forward for another round of Australian outback tourism with the return of Mick Taylor in Wolf Creek 3. Also Paranormal Activity: The Other Side as well.

I can wait for scream6 Im hoping that they bring Matthew Lillard back as stew and maybe have him be either a good guy or be a killer or be maybe someone that has to do with all the killings and movies from 2 to now
