I love you marvel but this is not a Thor love and thunder review...
Thor love and thunder post credit scene is perhaps not included, just marvel cgi.
the funniest thing i've ever seen is black widow bad cgi... LOL. there are more bad cgi scenes i couldn't put in this video but if this video hit 1k likes i will make a part two.

made a very terrible mistake in the last clip, i mistook Yelena for ms marvel... my bad. Lol, i'm getting alot of hate for making this video... i just pointed out every tiny details concerning the cgi of these movies, thought roasting some scenes will actually make sense since... well the bad cgi.

We just criticise the little mistakes ignoring the good work done by vfx artists. It's not about just marvel, it's about every franchise. Being a vfx artist is one of the hardest work in the digital world. And if you are thinking I am an artist myself, I am not. If we try to edit just one picture, it takes us a long time. Imagine a team editing a whole 2 to 3 hrs movie from which many footages are cut down.

@@ajgumpper probably not. look at the dialogue. the quality of dialogue has obviously gone down after endgame. now all the characters sound like “characters” rather than actual people going thru whatever challenge theyre faced with in the movie. I mean this in the sense that they absolutely dont sound like how people would really talk irl. every emotion, action, and what theyre thinking was spoonfed to the audience. the effort just really isnt showing anymore.

Just remember, bad CGI is almost never the fault of the artists and it’s usually due to a tight production schedule and/or bad direction, bad choices on set, or waiting until the last minute to cement an idea

She Hulk had impressive CGI keep in mind that she hulk was completely CGI when in the hulk form humans are very hard in cg so given that it's quite impressive and these visual effects artists were sat through torture while being rushed

@Dbz death If you're wondering if I think the MCU is good because I'm young, you should know that I had low expectations for Eternals, Love And Thunder, and Mulitverse of Madness. For Love and Thunder, I knew it was going to be silly because I saw some reviews for it beforehand. For Multiverse of Madness, I only watched it for Sam Raimi and I didn't really care about the cameos/multiverse stuff, and that I enjoyed too. And for Eternals, even though it is not a perfect film, there was surprisingly some things I really liked in that movie. The TV shows I found decent to great was Hawkeye, Lori, and WandaVision. So yeah, I like the MCU.

I actually slowed the Shang Chi one down to see what exactly was wrong, and I found that where you think is an empty space is actually another pole going vertically into the pole (basically the pole that connects the other poles together).

I don't know how you can say the special effects were bad at all in that film. Everything looked like it had similar quality to the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, but probably better because its newer stuff. And the floating head to me wasn't bad CGI. It just didn't look aesthetically pleasing and looked out of place so it felt a little silly at first. I mean it's literally a big floating child's head. I wouldn't say the VXF team did a bad job, I just think they could have chosen something more fitting, but it's easy to forget about after a few seconds.

Looking how the quality in the CGI dropped as the MCU progressed years later is just crazy and look at the Monsterverse's CGI, you can tell that the VFX artists were treated properly due to how amazing and consistent it looks with each film, especially the recent Godzilla Vs. Kong movie back in 2021(Considering each film takes 3-5 years), cannot wait for Godzilla x Kong The New Empire though.

They were given 3 weeks to complete it, it's impossible to expect good quality if the time is so short. For comparison Godzilla and other iconic films with great cgi were given 3-5 years to complete and there were not even many shots to begin with.

You gotta give Shang-Chi some credit bro. The exterior shots of the bus fight scene were actual practical effects (they used a real bus attached to a garbage truck to hit cars). They used a replica bus in a blue-screen room for the interior shots. Other than that, I say about 90% of the CGI was trash especially when the Ta Lo army fought the soul eaters and the scene when they were driving through the maze forest thing to find Shang-Chi's mom Edit: since y’all wanna talk about budget, put this into perspective Transformers Budget: $147m Transformers CGI: 11/10 Shang-Chi Budget: $150-200m Shang-Chi CGI: 2/10

I knew the ending BP fight was bad. But what probably takes the cake is how the camera has to adjust its angle to make it work. Like they aren't even hiding that is how they are making it work. Can someone do a 180 around a pillar? Yes. But you can literally pinpoint the exact moment when they did the swap and the need to CGI in the transition which makes it seems like it defies the laws of physics to make it work.

It is the CGI too, look at the bus pole. There is nothing to support the pole anymore after it’s cut up and down yet the center is floating…. The pole that Shang is holding

That Shang-Chi example is very laughable. The "Iron" or the Grab Rails, as their called, have multiple points of contact with the interior of the bus. They're not floating. They are attached to the ceiling of the bus, the floor of the bus and even other rails of the bus. He cut through the yellow part of the rail, but both parts are still attached to other parts of the bus. If you've never been on a bus, that's fine but at the very least, understand you're ignorant to bus grab rails instead of trying to critique a movies CGI for something the artists behind the CGI actually got correct.

@@inkpendude Oh dear. Yeah I can't believe it, but you're right. It's hard to notice, but those poles don't have anything connected to the floor. They do if you look closely (because there's a strange outline), but it's like whoever was working on it made them invisible.

A crutch and a novelty that wouldn’t hold up forever- especially since they didn’t really plan much further ahead beyond the foreshadowed Infinity War saga- and by then, the signs of fatigue had already begun to show... especially in the CGI department.

The Shang chi pipe isn't floating... you can see from previous shots some of the pipes have silver things wrapped around the top. If you mean the middle, those pipes are probably strong enough to hold his body weight, bus handles aren't that flimsy

I remember having this weird experience in the theater during Thor when I saw the head. I thought “oh well maybe it’s just my theater”. Because legitimately, there is another theater near me that does 4K screens and some movies have legit looked better there. People say that, and then proceed to watch movies with CGi from the 2000's lmao. House of the dragon is terrible, most dc movies are utter trash.. Only a few can master CGI, at least we know Marvel can do it, they cant be bothered to put the work and money into smaller project but they know how to do it .. The only amazing recent CGI project is Rings of Power, this was a masterpiece visually but Amazon spent 1billions. The bar is still attached to the ceiling and the ground, it being cut in half doesn’t mean it is now detached from the ceiling and the ground, and these bar are design for multiple people to hold on to during a bus ride, so it should still have enough standing power for a couple swing before it starts to deform

Okay so the first complaint makes zero sense. Number 1, that's not bad cgi, because the CGI itself is completely fine, it's just that it doesn't make sense. But number 2 it does make sense because the top half of the pole is still attached to the roof, the part of it up top that looks like a second cut is a grey band on the pole, you can see other poles have them in the previous shot. For Doctor Strange and "Ms Marvel" (that's Yelena lmao nice one), the cgi isn't the problem, it's the blending of the real footage of the actors on a green/blue screen. Also even if it was two weeks ago, using the dead and terribly unfunny berserk skeleton meme is more cringe than any of the scenes you chose. Also "nothing is worth fun than your bad cgi" makes precisely zero sense as a sentence. Nice one.

First of all the problem with Shang chi wasn’t the cgi it was more the logic of it. Also all the green screen shots were most likely due to reshoots and not having enough time to set up and finish the shot. That’s why all the other shots look fine.
